Had the same pair on for ages, really like them.

Yeah, Astoria in 91 and at Reading 91 and 92. 91 they were ok to good, by 92 it was all over and they were at best average.

Can think of at least 20 bands i’ve seen who were better live in my opinion.

It might be mildly fun on a mountainbike but it is Soooo much better on a bmx. Suspension ruins it as you struggle to get any pump.
Get a bmx race bike, you know it makes sense. (Scurrys off to the shed to dig bmx out.)

Canford Heath is pretty good if you know where to go. New Forest 20 minutes drive. Puddletown Forest 20 minutes. Wareham Forest 20 minutes.
Up and down the seafront not allowed, but the views good as long as you remember to put your sunglasses on so you don’t get caught looking (apparently)

Stops the lycra getting snagged on bushes, crash protection, pockets, more luggage as mountain biking tends to be more of a social outing than road rides (and i don’t want to sit around having my cream tea with my little acorn showing on a cold morning).

Great goal. Can we have him back at Bournemouth please?

Wore full lycra and no camelbak on road today for first time in years and it felt great. Wish i could get away with it on mtb, but baggies, camelbak etc are just more practical, if less comfortable.

Ride Cyclewoorks in Poole do a ride Tuesdays (almost definitely) and Wednesday (definitely) around purbecks leaving 6ish from sandbanks ferry. Half hour or so drive from forest, but worth giving them a call for a decent guided ride.

If not, there’s loads of riding in the forest, but a bit tricky to find.

Looks unlikely i can make it. CG, i’ll try and sort a date for a North Hampshire-Andover-Bourne Valley ride. What weekends in the next couple of months are free-ish from races etc.

Plenty of cloud, not actually raining but looks like it could. Pretty breezy.

Thanks for the ride chaps. A little soggy, but all good. I’ll bring my snorkel next time – drains well my arse.

At least if they go down the number of black and white shirts that have sprung up from ‘well my family come from there’ types in hants and dorset in the last 15 years should decrease. Bit like Leeds and Blackburn when they were successful. Everton and city seem to be the latest re-discovered ‘teams i’ve always supported’. Leicesters popularity has just dramatically made a resurgence, unbelievably at the same time as their promotion, what a coincidence.

It is now what they technically describe as p***ing down.

good morning. Todays early weather report (sponsored by my little girl waking me up too early) is that in Poole it is currently a bit breezy looking, grey clouds everywhere but not raining at present. Cannot give a temperature estimation as i’m not going outside in my pyjamas for you lot.

Will hopefully see you all in a few hours, although it does look a bit full of it.

We used to have the eurovision drinking contest in our single days. Drink from each country drunk whilst song is on. Bit difficult now that they’ve up the entries to 20 odd and its hard to get an Albanian/ Slovenian beer in Tescos.

No Terry this year though, so won’t bother, Graham Norton gets on my t**s.

Do doggers wear long macks? Or do they de-robe?

We could all wear our long macks to fit in with the doggers if its that wet.

Nothing lightweight or jey about my 2×9. E 13 drs weighs more than a granny i’m pretty sure and stops my chain coming off like it used to when i ran a triple.

This morning was wet and windy, its still windy, but the suns out now. Tomorrow looks similar, lashing down in the morning and sunny in the afternoon.

We’re about 10 miles west, so i’ll give you an early morning weather check in morning. I’m sure my little girl will wake me up early enough to catch you all before you leave.

Bloke i work with lives in the forest (not literally) and reckons the car park we’re meeting at also attracks another group of consenting adults looking for excitement. So look out for a group of strange people huddled around a car making excited noises, but be warned they might be singletrackers.

I’m in as long as it’s not lashing down. Its been pretty grim in Poole most of the afternoon, but has brightened up now, so fingers crossed.

Downhill when concordes shut! Blimey! Is the arts centre in the church still open? saw some good bands there at the turn of the 80s/90s.

There’s only one s in Stockbridge, and not a lot else apart from a few houses i’ve worked on.

Went to college there 20 years ago. Not the most inspiring town centre, could waste an hour or two around the cathedral though.
A few folks off here live there so there should be people to ride with.
If you don’t mind quarter of an hour on the train, somewhere like Grately could be nice to live.

No such thing as chav in the late 80s. Simple car, 1600 no injection, 4 gears, no sunroof, went like stink if you thrashed it and went through front tyres like they were going out of fashion. Written off a few weeks after it had a new engine, gutted.

Mk 1 XR2 great car, sadly destroyed by a load of concrete posts and a tree. My first and best car. Worst car, Rover 400.

Good job it wasn’t half way down that hill near Westbury on Monday, would have broken it in half.

Anyone recommend someone in the Poole/Bournemouth area to do work on a T4? (rear seats, side window, etc).
    Cheers

Red bits look a bit iffy, headset and chain stay protectors. Who cares though, can’t see them when you’re riding it.

Dislocated and broken thumb (2 1/2 months off work).

    Fractured elbow.

Dislocated wrist, shattered radius (bone graph), broke end off ulner, career ending, hence my trowel being rusty.

Shoulder hasn’t worked properly for last 13 years, ligaments i think.

All bmx inflicted, this is my ‘safe’ replacement activity, touch wood.

oh, and broken ribs and concussion from ice skating.

I would imagine i’ll make an appearance what with it being just down the road. Plenty of nice pubs to choose from, just watch out for the pony pooh.

£250 a bit cheap for top kit, but you could get a lot second hand for that. You’d want someone with you who knows what they’re looking at though as they can be battered and bruised.
