Raceface, judging by previous get togethers the pace will be pretty slow, so the distance shouldn't be an issue. What better motivation than laughing at mulletus crashing (oh sorry, that was last weekend).

Having had motivation problems myself, one of the better things i did was to go out with this lot, as it opens up a load of new riding opportunities and drags you out of the house on a Sunday morning.

Hoping to make it, family commitments allowing. About an hour from Poole?

Iv'e got an original spec Alpinestars cro-mega DX in my mums garage, bit dusty and a little bit of rust, but nothing a bit of TLC wouldn't cure.

For sale for the right price. Looks kind of cool (for an old bike) but i'm never going to ride it.

'Ghetto' tubeless. My missus gave me that look of 'grow up' .Why not call it diy, do any of us live in the ghetto?

CG lived up to the hype Saturday with top drawer map reading and first aid skills, despite the wonderful British weather.

    Thanks, see you again soon.

Can we still drag you away from your fans for a spot of bike riding saturday?

Blimey, haven't been in the Turtle for years, probably since i moved away from the area. Got a mate on here who rides from Wargrave, i'll mention it to him.

Crank brothers mallets are fine for riding clipped in and for 'chickening out' and riding through sections un-clipped, but feel horrible in normal trainers / skate shoes imo. The eggbeater bit sits too proud to be comfortable and your foot slips off.

Seem to last a long time, I've had mine for 3 years or so and they get covered in Purbecks sand and grit pretty regularly.

If you're heading down on a Friday, look out for huge traffic hold ups. Last week was awful (good job i was going the other way).

Highcliffe, Bournemouth or Boscombe could be ok. If there's any surf at Kimmerage, it can get a bit heavy and potentially dangerous if you're a beginner, not really body board friendly.

Don't forget to bring your bike, loads of riding around here. Drop me a line if you want guiding or route suggestions. 40 strong group rides midweek evenings usually.

Is this the 6th or 9th? If its Sunday 9th, i'm probably up for it.

Scurries off to look for map to remind himself where Pewsey is.

Haven't seen Mama Mia film, but did see the stage show in Toronto a few years ago. Does admitting to going to musical theatre count as potentially embarrassing, because if so i'm in trouble (fame, grease, starlight……).

Anything with Drew Barrymore in, like 50 1st dates, and rubbish american stuff like American pie.

Mulletus – TITANIC, you sure? Hope you won't be playing the soundtrack in your car Saturday.

Looking like being a decent turn out, and you can't beat a decent turnout (sorry). Is there a fine supply of cream teas down (up?) there, or shall i bring my own scones?

As for the weather, it's pretty wet in Poole today and the Purbecks are a little greasy in places, but nothing to worry about.

Anyone riding at Swinley or nearby Saturday morning?

No, don't change the date, i can make this one.

Another shout for Ag2r here. Although if i was there Director i'd be asking them where that level of performance has been the rest of the season. Euskatel showed pretty well this year too.

A few teams might as well not have bothered. Quick step (although they probably did enough in the classics to keep the sponsors happy), Rabobank until Ventoux saved their tour. Lampre, Silence Lotto, Milram hardly set the world alight

Always partial to a bit of country.

Dolly Parton, Don Williams, Billy Jo Spears anyone?

Got laughed at 14/15 years ago at glastonbury for knowing all the words to Johnny Cashs' set. Now it seems everyone's a fan.

Do you want me to name and shame them for you mullet boy. Actually, better not, because you could probably do the same to me. What happened in the village stays in the village. Didn't Karen do a wonderful rendition of 'stay' at a party somewhere?

'Eagle by ABBA', much prefer Leatherface's version.

I'm still up for this, not too far from me.

Mulletus, pretty sure i'll be up your way Saturday, so Swinley or somewhere could be good to break that new bike of yours in. I'll call you later.

I think we all kind of knew that would be the result 3 weeks ago. First and second tied up, but should be good on Saturday between Wiggins, Armstrong, Kloden and F Schleck.

Wiggins slower than Millar? Millar was cruising up the hills yesterday i suppose.

Looks like Scott have got their act together since the Giro and have actually got some TT bikes the columbia lads want to ride, although Kirchen is still on one of last years giants.

Ugly bike contest, Giant v Specialized.

Did a 37 mile road downhill from a volcano summit in Maui a few years ago on old clunker with drum brakes. Big smiles all the way down, although we didn't take those sort of risks.

As long as no one crashes, that should be that for the GC boys today. Just a scrap for the stage win.
