Karma to Burn, singer left after 1st album and didn't bother replacing him (i think). Cracking stuff from this decade.

I might be up for a boxing day jaunt if i don't visit the in-laws. Mainly depends on if the bike is with me or not.

The state of that front wheel you rode on the other month, I'd get a few spare ones you wrecker! Switching from 20mm to qr takes seconds with my crossmax's, i'd have thought hope would be equally simple.

    Still riding xmas day?

Mums 65 now and drives a tasty sporty astra far too quickly.

Dad had BMW bikes all through my school days and used to pick me up from school when i was 6 on his R100RS boxer, which i thought was cool then.

Not too bad. Got on top of a few health issues that kept me off the bike the year before. Not fit enough to really enjoy it as much as i'd like (2 stone to lose).

Good lads and lasses to ride with down here gets me out more (but ups the cream tea intake).

Done a load of stw rides and sort of organised one, so made some new friends.

Got to hang out and ride with an OLD friend from years ago which was a big bonus (cheers MM).

New bike new motivation (and new baby) next year so it should be a good year if i can get out enough.

As the previous poster says, it doesn't necessarily single out one issue. I have many different situations that raise the anxiety levels and require neutralisation and checking. Some are interlinked, some are a bit random; that's the problem when it gets serious, that it becomes all consuming and disables you from carrying out your life how you would like.

Medication and behavioural techniques allow me to lead a relatively normal family life thankfully and, subject to popular belief, everything in my life isn't all in neat rows as my work colleagues would confirm (my desk looks like a warzone). Obviously my vinyl and cd's are in alphabetical and chronological order, but that's not OCD, that's just the way things should be! 🙂

@Brooess – I have had severe OCD for the last 7 years or so, although thankfully i'm reasonably well at the moment. Before that it was smaller stuff like some people have mentioned. If you are genuinely worried about it, then OCD-UK are good guys and could be worth a call. If you want some info/advice from me, let me know and i can either email you or give you a call.

Your GP can refer you for an assessment if you want it, which could lead to CBT, some chemical assisstance or something similar.

Whatever you do, don't let it get out of hand as it's easier to nip in the bud before it gets too heavy. When it gets full blown it's truly awful and life consuming.

Unfortunately the main treatment is CBT exposure therapy which pretty much means ignoring those urges and living with the discomfort until they go away. It's hard work and scary and horrible. Some of the recommended self help books are really good too.

Unfortunately this life and family destroying illness is still seen as fair game for jokes and is easily dismissed, although anyone who knows a sufferer will confirm it's no laughing matter.

Best thing you can do is get out on the bike and ride as it genuinely helps in lots of ways.
Good luck and let me know if you need any help.

I find the mortar sticks to my trowel a bit now it's rusty. Don't know if that's any help.

Put on shop organised rides for customers. Our LBS runs a fast ride on Tuesdays, a beginner/intermediate ride on Wednesdays, semi- organised one on Sunday mornings and a road chain on Fridays. Numbers for Wednesdays can reach 50+ regularly and 10-20 on Tuesdays. Nearly all will use that shop when they need stuff and it creates a 'scene' locally. Also means you get to ride loads if you do the guiding. Minimal organisation required (just regular meet time and place). Gets new potential customers/beginners into riding too as they get to ride good trails with a group with the associated banter and technical backup from day one.

    Works here anyway 🙂

With the amount of decals on my new frame, there's no room left for stickers!

Personally, can't see the point of putting brand name stickers on your bike unless you are sponsored by them. Good luck if you want to though as i don't care really. 🙂 I quite like bikes to look clean and uncluttered, although my BMC is far from that and would probably look rubbish naked. LBS stickers are good if you want to support them and advertise for them to keep them going.

Quite like a random sticker or two on a helmet and non bike stickers on bikes. My surfboards tended to have bike and band stickers on.

5'10" here and had a 16" 456, it was spot on for size. My new 18" BMC has the same tt length.

Got mine second hand a couple of years ago. No problems at all with them (touch wood). Light enough, tough, 20mm or qr, tubeless and they look good. Fine with 2.3 tyres despite being narrow.

Maybe a couple of xc races if i can find a class slow enough. Possibly a couple of bmx regionals if i manage to get any track time in this winter/spring.

10 minute drive to Sandbanks, park outside Harry Redknapps house, jump on the chain ferry, head off into the Purbecks, stop for a cream tea in Corfe Castle, then aim for Swanage and back towards the ferry.

    Jobs a good'un!

Same as the rest of the year.

    Tubeless 2.3 Conti vertical front
    Tubeless 2.3 Bonty revolt rear
Was good on my old 456, haven't ridden the new BMC yet.
Back slides about a bit, but front grips pretty well, no problem for Purbecks and was good at underwater Swinley the other week.

Hammerite 'rough as guts' look was my personal favourite for bmx stuff. Used to chip off when you crashed, but that added to the look. Who cares if it's a rat bike, might stop it getting nicked.
