I moved back in with parents for a while when i was splitting up with 1st wife, and when recovering from some injuries (when i was 30ish). Got under each others feet a bit but that was probably because i didn't have a telly in my room and i was working with dad at the time. Saved a load of money though by paying them hardly anything for my keep 😳

Hundreds. As with xherbivorex, mostly old band ones (probably some of the same). 4 binliners full came down here from my mums last week as she is moving and wanted them out and they are just the ones i dont wear. Over 100 in draws here that i do wear in rotation.

Oh dear, i have a problem – 30 pairs of trainers too 😳

Auction time here we come – anyone want a DOA shirt for a starter?

Definetely not flat here. Not mountains, but not flat. When are you around? Keep going past the New Forest, to sunny DAAARRRSET.

The only time i shake my head a bit about age is September each year when our new students start. This years intake will have been born in '94, eek!

Put a picture of your bike on here so everyone can rip it to bits. Or make a sweeping political statement and stand back.

40 last week. Got a new bike as a present, so not all bad. Kids have more effect on my life than my age. It gets harder to keep the weight off, that's about all (and the hairy ears).

We have loads but we don't advertise them all because we don't want you all coming down here and getting sunburnt, and showing us up with your presumably better skills, fitness and looks.

Mulletus – Nah, busy that weekend

    Dr P – Chinese tonight?

Talkemada – I thought it was because its not dark, cold and scary down here, so we're not afraid to go out on our own 🙂

Did this with a mate in Australia a few years back. Bought an old flat 6 Holden Kingswood estate and bunged an old foam mattress in the back. Hand made curtains (old material and staples hanging off string), rigged up some ropes to hang surfboards off the ceilng at night so they didn't get nicked.

We kipped in it for about 3 months, so no campsite fees (carparks, roadside), washed in public toilets and the sea :-), Lauderette every couple of weeks. Spent about £5 a day on food and drink, jobs a good'un.

But- it broke down loads so go for aa cover or something (i think we called out their equivelent about 5 times).

Sold it on for a small loss afterwards, but more than made that back in saved accomodation.

Leave him at home and go out on your own. Only a suggestion. 🙂

20% pay rise for Lecturers would be good for a start, i've got a new bike to pay for.

Stonehenge isn't so mystical and interesting when you drive past it twice a day on the way to work for a few months. Particularly in the summer when it's at walking pace! About time they put the roof on it too.

Had a proper fitting for my new one last week (best part of hour long). Feels great and is miles from what i thought was a good length and position on my previous bike. You wont get that buying one online and probably wont get near to that sort of service in Halfords either.

I would suggest going to a serious shop with a bike fitting service and at least get measured correctly (although it will cost you if you don't buy from them).

Nothing much doing this weekend, but might need to be down here for baby sitting duties. Maybe able to sneak in a ride on or off road.

Headtube reasonably long, but got a 70mm drop to bars so cant be too bad.

The bike fit computer jobbie in the shop came up with this set up, although it should be even longer. 5'10" with Gorilla arms and short legs, if i had a frame built it would need to be a 54 seattube married to a 58 toptube. Compromised with a 120mm stem on a ML frame.

Worth hitting 40 for? Nah!, give me 25, a fixed wrist and a bmx anyday. 😛

It's not a custom geometry, it's a Medium/Long. The spacers are there coz i've got a knackered wrist and want to see if it'll put up with the position or if i need to sit up a bit.

Saleem – not as much as you'd think.

Once the white tape has 'soiled up' too much it'll be replaced with brown Brooks leather and the seat will be brown suede san marco regal.

The Treks a 56cm and will be making an appearance in the classifieds shortly. 🙂

Gearne fit me great and don't seem as silly priced as sidi. For a full carbon sole at that budget, dhb from wiggle.

Silver/grey bikes. Just noticed my 2 new bikes are a similar colour. Unfortunately they'll still be piloted by an overweight numpty, so they won't be any quicker than the old ones.
