Me and the misses agreed to not get each other presents, and yet this evening while flicking through ebay she suddenly said i could have another bike!!

I’m still trying to work out how i’ve managed to persuade two lovely women that i’m a good catch! 😛

Seriously though, both times i’ve been married, i proposed and then we went ring shopping afterwards. As has been said, they’ve got to wear it so it might as well be something they like.

I think the traditional looking diamond approach is pretty safe if you do go for it yourself. Both my current wife and my ex are the sort of girls you’d expect to get something modern/different, but both went for very old styled traditional looking rings to my (and their) surprise.

If you can get away with a few hundred quid its a result (we went the second hand vintage route), but if not then at least its some consolation that the wedding band is usually a lot cheaper.

If she does blow the budget, it at least gives you a bit of room for bargaining when it comes to buying a new bike 😀

Morning all. Back in the routine, 5.30 this morning.

Dont you just love it when you get up at stupid o’clock and all they do is cry and shout for mummy who is in bed. Ungrateful little buggers!

Inlaws stayed over last night due to little fella needing to be off from child minders today because he is ill.

Right result, he was up at 3 and i just rolled over and stayed asleep until 7 while mother-in-law wrestled with him for 4 hours. 🙂

I think the thought of her being up with him was more rewarding than the extra 4 hours kip 😀

20 month old has been ill and sleeping a lot during the day this weekend, so didn’t end up going to bed until 9 last night.

5 yr old was the first one up at 7, right result (although we were nearly both late for work this morning).

Another bonkers night in the Rusty house.

I fell asleep watching match of the day and staggered upstairs at 3.30, just in time for the ‘big bed swap’.

This resulted in me and 20 month old snot machine in our bed and Mrs Rusty in with 5 yr old.

With the various wake ups i reckon we got about 4 hours sleep each, so not bad really :?.

Full house now, everyone up and about. Love it! 😀

The misses got up with the sicky 20 month old this morning, but i’m up anyway as i had to give my side of the bed up last night to a wriggly 5 yr old! 😥

Morning, 5.30 this morning so a bit of a lay in. Snuffly little fella was struggling to breath last night so he did well to make it this late.

Woo Hoo, he’s nodded off on me. In the cot you go sunshine, i’m back off to bed. 😀

5 yr old wants to swap beds at 2am ish most nights. 20 month old wakes up at 4.30-5am most days (when not waking up a few times a night).
You just get used to being knackered all the time.
Puke all over the living room floor this morning for added fun too 🙂
