All-in-one waterproof suits from LittleTrekkers[/url] served us well.

Its a no brainer, the Inbred is way better. I tried a Genesis IO against my slidey Inbred & the ride wasnt as nice. Inbred is just so well sorted.

Cut a length of bar / suitable drill bit, slide that through the crank axle, & put the bolt back in the other side.
Then screw in the crank extractor outer part, making sure its good & tight in the crank arm.
Then screw in the centre bit of the extractor till it touches the bar / drill bit, another few degrees turn & off it will come.

Rim choice possibly an issue, guessing 32h is pretty much std.

If you can get over to Ludlow the folks at Isla seriously know their stuff. I was sceptical our eldest would fit a Bein 20 after his Cnoc14, but they were adamant he would be fine…& they were right.

They have something alright. Hard to define, but so lively to ride. I swapped the same kit onto an Inbred & enjoyed it as much.

Whatever the vol as it sits is usually 2-3 times that when dug out. 2′ is a lot of earth to move, what’s going in a swimming pool ?
How thick is the actual concrete ?
Have an angle grinder ready in case of steel.
Either way get some Radox in cos it will be back breaking.

He visited Hebden Bridge, sure I’ve heard that place mentioned on here, is it where STW are based ?

I use the Superstar one. Works fine. Can’t for the life of me see why I’d need to spend more, but the Pauls one is a lot neater.

717’s here, under 16st of phalic sexuality & no complaints whatsoever. Have run ghetto tubeless on them, again no issues. Would happily buy again.

The neoprene winter gloves are the best bit of kit they did. For what they cost they are unbeatable.

Obviously all of this is eclipsed by the Xmas stollen log.

That first drop didn’t have a chicken run when I went. I had a good look, walked the bike over it then went back to ride it. Was very early Sun am, so quiet. The rest was fairly easy & some nice singletrack tbh. Back to that first drop though, why make the run up so short & follow it with the rocky drop so quickly, surely its just going to be skidded into a mess…

I had one. I’ll admit, it was very very good, but not £350 better than the cheap Inbred I also have.

If I had to run one bike though it would probably still be a Soul. 😐

I made it clear to my ex that my ideal birthday present would be a session with her & her Sister. She told me she would ask her & later told me she’d said no. Was sat chatting to her Sister a few weeks later & she whispers that had she not just met a chap I would have had a great birthday present.
That ones still earning interest in the **** bank.

Having either owned, or tried those of friends, most of the big names at various times; I still reckon the Phil & Ted Sport Double was the best. Exceptionally well made steel frame, strong joints & decent tough fabrics. We paid £450 for ours with all the add-ons. Just sold it on Ebay for £220 so didnt lose much. Ours took a fair old hammering for the last 3 1/2 years, but it came up like new & the joints, pivots & mechanisms all worked as new. Ok, its not light, but it folds pretty small. It could be steered & manouvered with a single hand. I’m sure someone will pop up & ridicule the use of the cocoon, but for the few months they fit them they work very well. Dont let the double bit put you off, its a single underneath.
And this having them face you business is all very cuddly & modern, but doesnt really make much difference.

My two lads want to watch, having had a few days of stuff at school. Will likely watch with them, but putting in a new kitchen at the moment. To those heading out on bikes, have a good un.

CJ Ward in Burton. Only used them for wet painting through work, but heard that he does powder also & does a good job. If you bake an alloy frame above 200c it can weaken it, but depends how much heat its been subjected to during mfr.

Can we call it the Fray-Bentos class…

My uni mates tied empty Fray-Bentos tins to my bumper when I got married.

Not used them as such, but did go through the T&C’s via Google translate & it read fine. No different to CRC except that it said Actionsports give 2 yr warranty on everything. Had a German chap at work scan through the site in German & he said it looked fine.

Can appreciate a story that has probably grown in the telling, but anyone who genuinely sticks a month old baby in a trailer & takes it off road should have their parenting skills addressing.

    1. To stop the pads falling out when you take your wheel out / to stop a whole load of rattling ?
    2. I use pliers, one pad at a time, grip the little tab & lift the pad forwads clear of the piston & they will pop out easily. Best to push pistons in when re-inserting. Might need to grip as above, to click each pad into place.
    3. Its way better than messing about with shims.

I used a WTB Rocket V & a carbon USE post on a Pace 303 some years ago. It was comfy enough. A Bfe should have a bit more give than the 303′.

Set up a dummy sale, get a mate to win it & put a quick explanation in the feedback line. At least folk will see it next to the rsoles feedback.

SB8’s are about as fast rolling as you’ll get this side of slicks. If your riding style / terrain suit they are great, but nervous of mine after a big crash w’end before last. That said, it was off camber, loose pebbles & I hit it way too fast. Can’t wait to get some on my 29er SS.

Only issue I had was due to my meddling, & they sorted it quickly after realising what I’d done. Kit I’ve had had been good, but a BB seized up after a drenching. Will use again. Single ring chain device is. good so got another. Why spend double because forum snobs say so…

    Define “Clean & grease”…

One of the bearings in my front seized solid after a wash. I put a new ones in, but flicked out the rubber seals & packed both sides with grease first.

Rides great. Rigid front works better on a 29er. Someone (rocketdog possibly) coined the phrase “sitting in it, as opposed to on it” & having an identical 26″ Inbred that’s spot on. Nice comfy ride, but what struck me was how chuckable it is. You think big wheels & imagine something unweildly, but that’s not the case.

“No, sod off”, is my general response. Cant believe people are so weak when it comes to these w8nkrs. And getting chugged on the phone is weakness with gnar.
