So had a look at Pivots website (shocking by the way) looks like it’s a Pf92. So as I linked in my earlier post you need this
As well as the Hope GXP adapter caps which push into the non drive side bearing
russyhFree MemberIt’s the spindle that’s a different diameter for the Bb mate. Your X1 cranks came with a boost ring so whack that on you Xo1 cranks is they are 30mm spindle? Or buy the correct Bb for your new cranks
russyhFree MemberThat’s because you have purchased a 30mm BB and these are GXP which is 24mm tapered to 22mm (?)
What frame are you fitting them to? Do you have a link we can then tell you what BB you need.
Looks like you are pf41 which is this
But with the GXP adapters fitted to NDS bearing which are:

russyhFree MemberI’m going to suggest that it’s not going to be the climbing you struggle with on the Jeffsy, it’s climbs great albeit I found on my 29er CF1 the seat tube angle was too slack, ruined further by me slackening the bike more. But in fact it’s the descending, you may dislike! Especially going from a plush enduro bike like the reign. It’s not the bikes fault either. The monarch shock that came fitted was pretty horrific, wooden feeling thing that often got out of its depth. I changed mine to a CC Inline coil and it transformed the bike into an absolute machine up and downhill.
russyhFree MemberGuess that’s the good thing about BPw then! You don’t have to do the ‘blend’ trails. Some of the newer technical reds are good. But I can see will catch people out, who perhaps are used to a FOD red trail. I have probably only ridden there once this year, in fact since the debacle over parking etc. I have seriously reduced the amount of time I spend there. I much prefer natural riding than bike park stuff
russyhFree MemberNo charges at my local Tip for Rubble? Or at least there has not been for the last few years and there wasn’t last week.
russyhFree MemberI got the same issue, I’m off to the top tomorrow! Car likely vastly overloaded
russyhFree MemberSo a fair few years ago now I had the Andreani piston kit installed to my pikes by Sprung. There were two options as I remember it. One for trail riding and one for aggressive enduro style riding. Nothing to do with weight. It was a great upgrade at the time transformed my pike into something amazing.
russyhFree MemberI was AXS curious, but to be honest given the fragility of cable driven eagle I would be difficult to convince now. Having something so fragile so low to the ground with such an expensive replacement price puts me right off. I wish Shimano and SRAM would start investing properly into gear box systems.
russyhFree MemberMine are 9 and 13, whilst being particularly lucky most of the time. I do get fairly pissed by the ‘oh it’s broken, Don’t worry Dad will buy another’ attitude I get sometimes. I have today played a blinder. Daughter wants a friend over, I won’t discuss it until she has vacuumed the house. A job the wife had given me to do before she went out!
russyhFree MemberWell personal experience and also professional experiences tell me otherwise. But good luck 😉
russyhFree MemberBeen running one of these for a while, really really rate it! In fact with this and a bottle on the frame I don’t think I’m going to need a HP again, so much easier and nicer to use. Sits properly on my hips with no real movement and no need to have the straps done up unbearably tight.
Oh yeah they sell lots of the Dakine kit at Dean Vally cycles in the Forest of Dean too.
russyhFree MemberThey’re not choosing to do nothing, they’re in touch with ad network provider to see if/how this ad may of appeared on here.
Thanks for the clarity Drac, the OP read like STW has basically come to the end of the trail in terms of investigations. Glad it’s being looked into further.
russyhFree MemberNot sure demanding people subscribe is the answer. Plenty of folk get logged out and have to suffer the ad dump prior to getting to the login stage. Plus, if the site is unusable and filled with scam bait you won’t hold onto new people long enough to get them to subscribe.
It’s a tricky one, I understand the need to raise revenue and make the site pay. But I worry about the lack of control over what’s posted by advertisers. If I started scamming people via the forum it would be sorted. But apparently it can’t be elsewhere? What happens if we start getting ads promoting really immoral, illegal or sickening things? I guess the argument is, that they are out there anyway. But for me, it’s difficult to swallow if you are aware of this but choose to do nothing with it because it generates a slice of revenue. It’s almost like the U.K. selling arms to counties who use them for diabolical things. Sure we may not of pulled the trigger but by supplying these people the tools we have a responsibility.
russyhFree MemberNever Facebook, it seems to be full of absolute time wasters! You will get bud in the nuts constantly and be bombarded with ‘interested’ posts
russyhFree MemberSo what is an ad network? appreciate I’m somewhat naive around these things! Do you sub out your web space to an agency who pay you to list ads on your website?
russyhFree MemberWow, so are you sure the ad links back to STW? If you run an ad blocker I take it that would block these kind of scam, aggressive internet spam. If so maybe time for STW to review the rule around the use of adblockers. If it’s definitely an ad linked to STW and not some elaborate hack, regardless they surely have a duty of care to make sure they are not promoting scam businesses. It would be interesting to see the legal position? If for example ads started popping up for much less savoury stuff, what then? I know income is so desperately needed, but there must be better ways then hammering the website to an unusable position? Guess for the time being I’m lucky to own a P,not sure why or how you guys can use the site without if I’m honest
russyhFree MemberMagic Mary up front for me all year, rock razor for about a month the Hans Dampf on back rest of the time. Prefer the consistency. Then the constant change….
russyhFree MemberSo has anyone got any real world experience of a Shigura setup? (Shimano levers with MT5 or 7 callipers) seems a popular thing in Germany and it’s peaked my interest, but wondering if anyone U.K. based has actual experience?
russyhFree MemberI had an Uberbike ceramic GXP bb and it lasted about a month (heavy winter use) so if it were my money I’d buy the hope adapters, 2 minutes to fit and a much better BB.
The chainring is an eagle chainring albeit I believe these to be backward compatible so will work on 11 speed
russyhFree MemberMy wife said the same…something doesn’t look right with that picture….who knew.
russyhFree MemberDo you ever really get a bike perfect? It seems an ever moving feast for me. My Mojo Hd4 is by far and away the best bike I have ever owned/ridden! And there have been many, I have it setup about spot on for me now, but even then I’m likely to change the brakes in the near future. Pedals will need changing as will contact points, plus I’m alway on the hunt for different tyres…I love it just how it is, but always looking for the extra 1%…pointless at my riding level, but it’s part of the sport I really enjoy
russyhFree MemberWell I nipped into garage and tried my spare Raceface crank boots…fine to me, same as my descendants:
Edit! FFS for some reason the forum is now not accepting images!
russyhFree MemberDon’t the Raceface ones fit OK? I’m sure I got a couple of sore sets somewhere from the various warranty sets I had over the years
russyhFree MemberGot mine thanks! I actually think the sizing is pretty good. Either that or I have put weight on! Dead chuffed
russyhFree MemberI like the one up, has a lower stack height than most. I can run a 170mm dropper on a large Mojo HD4 in terms of length, just hampered by the frame/cable routing. So with the spacers I can run 165, perfectly. I’m on my second one up lever, it’s nice but a little fragile
russyhFree MemberDon’t bother with the tour of the volcano, took my 13 and 8 year old round there….so dull man!
russyhFree MemberAlways loved my Burgtec pedals, been running hope F20 for a while now, never really gotten on with them, but they are not ‘bad’ likely I will give the composite Burgtecs ago shortly as my hopes are due a service/bearing change
russyhFree MemberThese are about the same weight as a pair of Raceface Sixc. The new Next cranks are about a 100g lighter but I would not run Raceface carbon cranks again. I actually think these are about on par for a decent carbon crank weight
russyhFree MemberYou dontnuse wavy washer on GXp I don’t believe, my descendants don’t. The smaller non drive side axle fits into the bb so no need to preload. Like I say my current GXP cranks with hope bb have no way of preloading, have no play and are frankly superb
russyhFree MemberGood call poops, I’ll bet the upgrade is almost cost neutral by the time you sell you turbines!
russyhFree MemberWell your get decent money for the Sram ring if you insist on oval, which I’m running at minute and frankly I can’t see any benefit…only chaindrops bizarrely. BB didn’t you need to change yours anyway? Just buy the cranks and keep in stock until you need to buy a new Bb again, which even if your current one is new is likely only a couple of weeks away lol
russyhFree MemberPoops, perfect upgrade for the crappy 30mm cranks on the Jeffsy. Can fit a 24mm bb (with adapters). Problem solved
russyhFree MemberIt’s a canyon, from the stem cap it would seem. Guessing a fairly old one as it has some fairly old fox forks and shocks and some old hope brakes. No way you could prove that damage wasn’t there. Unless your ‘agent’ had time stamped pictures and an appraisal. Who’s to say the wheel wasn’t swapped around in the box when the damage was found?
This completely stinks, please never buy anything used from me!
russyhFree MemberMine arrived today, lovely! Going straight in the spares box ha ha! Weighed in at 538g so very reasonable indeed.
russyhFree MemberGoodness me, need to take a long hard look I would suggest. It’s nothing to do with the ‘principle’ I can’t see how anyone could prove those marks were not there before other than ‘say so’
Judging by the use of the bike in thother pictures you bought something that had been well used. Yes I’d be miffed, hence the reason you would go and view/purchase with your own eyes. Certainly don’t send a mate who knows nothing about bikes! Then pay a shop £15!!!! What could possibly go wrong.
I’m genuinely flabbergasted
russyhFree MemberWas going to say Fox Evolution series was absolute garbage even back then. Definitely budget for a new fork, same for rear shock if it’s an evo series. Can’t imagine they have gotten any better with age.
