Ask St Anthony….Say, “St Anthony of Padua please help me find…” and then look. Works a surprising amount of times.

I have an MSR Zoid 1. Can be pitched inner only, outer only or both. Super lightweight and teeny tiny pack size. Each part can be split to fit into different parts of pack.

Yes, I do wonder how many people will be put off by the parking charges. Going to be interesting watching it all unfold over the week.

I think I might wild camp in the hammock in my garden and then pass through the house, using the facilities, before making my way across 50 yards of park before I get to the route. Might even take a bacon butty with me or a cup of tea.

What would your response be if your son’s teacher approached you and informed you that he/she wouldn’t be available on a given day because he/she was going to attend the stage 3 finish of the Tour de France?STRIKE, HAVE A TRAINING DAY, SNOW ON THE GROUND, HEATING NOT WORKING, NO HOT WATER,ETC ETC

Assuming you didn’t want the day off anyway.

There’s plenty of riding on Otley Chevin and further afield if you know where to look. And plenty more to the North, regular 20 mile rides straight out of town.

And, in my opinion, the Do Lectures are better than TED.

Coincidentally I was at a talk last weekend where Colin Greenwood out of Radiohead talked about how they used samples, and loops, to build the tracks for King of Limbs. Most interesting.

Sounds like you might be missing the spacer between the freehub and the hub itself. No 9 on this diagram… http://www.roteccycles.co.uk/ekmps/shops/rotec/images/hope-pro-2-evo-ratchet-pawls-set-of-4-%5B3%5D-2164-p.jpg

Not the new Dunnies. Ain’t gonna be room for bikers, and far enough away to avoid the bank holiday clientelle. Hope is to give some of the cycling clientelle somewhere to go and to engage with the cycling community in a way that Dunnies didn’t. And the coffee will be better.

Cheers for this guys – all great points.

Even/especially the strava/rollers thing, I take your point – may be a bit too much.

Location wise for this would be in the centre of a very cycling centric town, often on the route of people cycling out of a big city into one of the national parks on road or as a pass through point for off road. Also a, non catered, trail centre near by. I guess it might be both a cycling cafe and a cycle themed cafe – a cycle styled cafe catering for cyclists amongst it’s other clientelle.

Cask is poor in my opinion and not much around there apart from the Tate. Much much better Craft pubs. Such as Craft in Leather Lane for instance.

Pitt Cue for tea one night.

Boris bike pub crawl, round London’s fashionable East London. Some great boozers round there.

Stroll along the South Bank from Westminster Bridge to Tower Bridge then river bus from Tower Bridge down to Westminster Pier – about £7 from what I recall whereas the actual tours are more like £50.

Cutty Sark and Brunel’s Tunnel and Greenwich, perhaps a Meantime Brewery Tour.

Basically stay out of the West End.

Ah, OK, cos the police are looking for him. Didn’t read the road.cc linky.

Train back from Harrogate to Leeds is generally a commuter so fine with bikes. Would personally not bother with the bit out of Leeds myself and perhaps look to start around Harewood, although that would make getting the train back from Harrogate more difficult. You could easily make it into a loop though.

Field head campsite is good. I think that’s what you might mean by the one near the Moorland centre.

I don’t think a lot of places have thought it through properly. There are tons of places around Otley with Pay on The Day car parking posters/banners etc. I don’t think they’re anticipating the roads being closed from 0630.

Just weighed my Heckler which I use for everything but mainly XC/Trails stuff. 36lb!!! Still manage to pedal in up just about everywhere, even though I am the slowest in our group. At least everyone gets a breather while they’re waiting for me to summit every climb.

I’m running a 2.4 Mountain King up front and a Minion DHF on the back at the moment. Love the Mountain King. Riding more or less XC, although on a fairly hefty Heckler, I’m no whippet but I don’t feel that the tyres are holding me back.

A ‘staggering’ amount of websites? Most servers? Really? Are you sure. This only affects ONE SSL product, of which there are many. Perhaps, of more concern is that ST doesn’t seem to use any form of secure connection at all. I certainly can’t see any evidence that it does.

Backed them on Kickstarter – much promised, little delivered.

They were supposed to have a music visualiser built in, be used as an alarm clock, alerts for text messages & social media, remote on/off timer thing for burgalar deterent etc, all sorts of pretty funky stuff really.

All they have delivered so far is on off ability and colour change from same wifi network. And a fairly lacklustre music visualiser.

There are other, better wifi enabled bulbs.

I’d take a trip to see Raymond Andrews in Far Headingley. Just pas Woodies heading towards the ring road. I’ve had three tailor made off him for between £300-£400. Admittedly this was a few years back, but worth checking out in my opinion.
