Anyone know if it’s possible/easy to retro fit the rns315? And if so what the cost might be?

I have the SE with just a normal DAB radio in it and it does the same in mine, I’m not sure whether it’s my phone that’s incompatible (4S) or whether the voice control thing is an option.

Are you from round here then. A lot of cheeky in that vid. Glad you’re better though. Looks like you’re a better rider than me, shortened ulna or not.

Completely disagree with the above. If you do that and the weather is shit you will never go camping again. Get something with at least a fly sheet and an inner, and a decent amount of space, it doesn’t need to cost loads…

Don’t spend £100 on a fountain pen. Save up longer and get something decent.

Personally I’d go for the road bike there. The 2014 TDF goes over the pass from Hawes to Gunnerside and thro Leyburn. See how fast you can do it without 70miles+ in your legs.

Have to say Finisterre merino pants wear out A LOT quicker than the original howies ribbed ones. A LOT quicker, got through my pairs in well under 6 months.

I’d get it straight off to Jungle. They’re really really good in my opinion. I think the failure is down the the stresses put onto the arm due to the pinch design. The newer arm does away with it and uses a collet(?) bolt instead.

My ’08 went in the same place. It was a more or less acknowledged fault and they changed the swingarm in ’10. I got a replace swingarm FOC from SC via Jungle.

Not done oak, but I have done two whole houses worth of pine. A weekend should do you unless the room is massive. The dust gets EVERYWHERE. If you’re able I’d suggest sealing up any doors and windows that go into other parts of your house. Never heard of a sand glider so can’t offer any advice on that one.

Russianbob what makes you think it says that?

Well, Polygon letter for letter generally can be translated as Ground.

And Tsentr, as centre. So you got me on that – Ground Centre rather than Ground Central.

And holding means, erm, holding. So Holding Ground.

    Am I wrong?

Either the pumping station at the bottom of the incline which pumps water up from the river to the canal or the mills at the end of the canal.

Got to agree with the eco-treehugging-hippy people on this one. It only takes one bike where it has no right to be to hit someone who has a right to be there and all of a sudden we’re banned from riding privately owned land. Got nothing against building trails responsibly away from footpaths etc – it’s only you that’ll get hurt either through crashing or arrest for trespass/criminal damage but as soon as you start infringing on others access and introducing the risk of collisions between cyclists and pedestrians you’re making trouble for all of us.

I was on call for years, started off quite diligent, but as my confidence about my service grew I pretty much drank when I wanted whilst on call.

If you pick a local tailor, not G&S etc, you can get a handmade suit for around £400. I’ve done this on a number of occasions. I can recommend in the Leeds area.

I’m gonna get absolutley burned for this, not suggesting what you saw was in any way acceptable behaviour but….

….my other half is a primary school teacher and has to deal with a lot of shit on a daily basis. The amount of times that the parents absolutely disbelieve the school about the behaviour of their little darlings far far outwieghs the times that they take any kind of action or responsibility. Furthermore the school never singles out kids just because they don’t like them or their parents.

Like I said, no excusing the behaviour that you have witnessed and I’d be inclined to take it further, but have you really asked yourself whether your kids have behavioural issues? I’ve never ever been called in for my kids, and they can be right shits at home sometimes.

Like I said in post number 2 or something – your car insurance covers you/your friend/the old pope/me for such cock-ups. No effect on no-claims etc. Bit like glass.

I understand that this should be OK, as long as you keep topping it up regular like. I Someone I know once put a FULL tank of diesel in my their diesel Passat and had the great idea of trying o get it home. It just stopped, got towed to the garage and sorted.

FWIW your insurance generallt covers you for such mishaps.

@DezB – same as me, our GSP pulls my wife but not me. Jumping up at people coming into the house is a problem. Have heard and the stones in a bottle thing, he’s only 8mths so will wait a while and see how things go.

Do you have kids? If the answer is no, I’d bloody go for it. What do you have to lose. If you stay where you are you’ll only regret it in years to come.

There’s a Gaucho’s on Park Row. Close to the centre. Supposedly very very good steaks. Not cheap though.

Hide and seek in the dark with a bit of booze inside you is terrifying and jolly good fun.
