Map Linky for the parking area, turn right onto the fireroad and there's some parking bays on the left, nearest postcode is LL24 0YP. Remember some change for a donation in the box there. Oh and keep a careful eye on the signs otherwise you might miss loop2

Just go to Boots and ask for some some small syringes, the oral hygiene ones they do are good for squirting oil into the foam lube rings.

John are you getting old and short tempered? I seem to remember you being the cheerful chappy with 50 waterproofs stuffed in his camelbak for another mid-July ride that was slightly damp.

Cheers all, looks like I need to lots more research on what exact programs I'd like to use before stumping up some cash, but for now I'm just using a self signed cert for my email program.

Read a book a while back that had some stuff in it from Mike Hale, once I remember the title (advancing age etc.) until then the wiki on it shows what engineers can do before the gov/mod **** things up.

When you look at a U2 compare it to a F104 and you’ll see what an amazing design that was too.

Excellent stuff really enjoyed it, but I guess the MOD wouldn’t fork out for spacesuits for our pilots, they’d just have to hold their breath when they were bouncing the U2’s Lightning

Got a pair of, Laurin FCRs, Wotans & Menjas, they are all as said above finicky to set up, a few PSI above or below is the difference between lots of dive and a solid fork, but once you have it right they are dammed good. Stiff as anything and predictable damping and a lowers re-lube every so often keeps them super supple.

Get a riding buddy to give you a slap every time you start mincing, that way you’ll fear the slap more than the trail obstacle. Said slap could be physical or it could be a good old slagging/pisstaking in the finest traditions of weekend warriors up and down the land.

It appears in today’s society that crimes against property rate higher sentences than crimes against people. Kill someone while pissed up behind the steering wheel of a car will get you slammed up for a lot less than defrauding a company.

What has annoyed me, is betray secrets to a foreign state that has resulted in people going up against the wall and if you for whatever reason get away with it for 30 years then nothing happens to you.

Problem is with any attempt at any type of alternate power generation the Luddites come out of the woodwork, I use that term as they quite successfully protest against the plan, but then don’t offer any viable alternative, so all that happens is nothing at all apart from a huge waste of funds on paperwork and lawyers. Plus a ticking timebomb for the future when existing nuclear and non-nuclear power stations are decommissioned and we end up with brown-outs as new capacity has not been brought online in time, whatever that capacity may be.

In any modern society there will always be a need for Nuclear Reactors, if only for the by-products, now most people will quite rightly say for bomb production. However they can also produce radioisotopes for medical imaging and radiotherapy.

I found when I was on nights best thing to do was to treat the morning the same as if you had finished in the evening. Do the same routine you would do if you got in after a 9 till 5 job. Go to bed a few hours after getting in, after having enjoyed a nice big evening meal with a beer to wash it down, watching TV recorded from the night, reading a book for an hour and so on..

Problem is that coal fired power stations can also release radioactive particles into the surrounding atmosphere and if filtration captures it instead, what is the fly ash used for…

Oh it can work I’ve seen it demonstrated, most elegant way it to use normal GSM phones that register to the network via a pico/femto cell deployed in your home/office so they utilise your broadband connection/WAN for VoIP, then use GSM roaming when you are out of range of your cell so you get seamless handover.

Google “Fixed Mobile Convergence” and have a look at all the different ways people are going about it.

One big challenge is that for example you receive an internal call on your desk phone so there are no call charges involved, you then walk away from your desk so you want to continue the call on your mobile, in effect you are doing a call forward onto your mobile phone which means your softswitch/PBX is generating an outgoing call to a mobile number and generating outgoing call charges to a mobile.

He had an argument with a Landy, rescue chopper nearly burnt out it’s engine lifting him. Seriously thou locals were fantastic, police + ambulance were there v/quick and the helicopter crew flew underneath trees to get to a landing spot and then reversed back out under the trees before they could gain height again.

Then as some of us had ridden down into the village to direct the ambulance up as quickly as possible, we had to ride (push) up that sodding hill again and it must be 1 in 3 in places.

Looks like the North Wales Coastal path up above Llanfairfechan to Conwy and Roman Road between the top car park and the YHA down towards Rowen. Here’s a link to a route that includes all of that and Drum Mt >>

    Col’s Drum Mt route

Ace part of N.Wales to go riding but it can be evil round there I’ve ridden up to the top of Drum in 90+ heat and turned blue in July at the crossroads and thought better of going to the top.

Agree Marin and Penmachno Loops 1&2 in a day will wear you out, however CyB has the harder descents.
