Yes there has been a sudden dip in Stella consumption in N.Wales and just when I’d got to the stage of a discount at the local kebab house too. Hummus wouldn’t go near the stuff!

Keep at it, I started at 111.5kg on New Years day, then for a big chunk of March I was stuck at about 101.5, but last 10 days it has started to come off again and I’m now 98.6kg.

Second the Billion its got a top notch ADSL chipset in it, can sync up to a higher speed and can be really tolerant of line errors.

Its been working for me, 111.5kg on New Years day, 98.6kg today. Also in that time I’ve also done a six week threshold booster training plan, few weeks rest now on week 3 of the time crunched cyclist experienced competitor plan. I had to get the fueling right pre-session but now that I’ve got that sussed, distances and power are looking good. Largest difference of course is now my power to weight ratio has had a massive boost due to loosing over 12kg so far.

Drop em off down the local A&E will help save the mind of some other fellow MTB’r, ensuring they don’t have to read 5 year old caravan magazines while waiting to be seen on a Sat/Sun afternoon.

Had to leave it alone for a while was starting to dream about it. Got Dark Souls to try instead its supposed to be fiendishly difficult but takes plenty of thought to play, so should cancel out the Skyrim.

Aye, been having a good nose at it but think its a bit above budget for a out and about camera, well unless there’s lots of trade ins/last years model discounts to be had.

What route are you planning on taking so this North Walian can be elsewhere? On a serious note if your bike is coming in the caravan with you then http://www.mbnw.co.uk/ some fantastic knowledge of out of the way trails all over North Wales.

Started on TTCC plan again last week too, comparing a 3x12SS session I did this Tuesday and one I did last August I’m 5BPM lower on average HR now but 500 metres up on distance for the session :-)

Have you done the CTS Field test again prior to this training plan, it’s no good going with the values you calculated last year.

Limiting factor is going to be your power supply in how many Watts it can supply and if it has any PCIe 6 or 8 pin power connectors. Also what length card will fit in your case.

There is an article on Toms Hardware on will Mass Effect 3 run on my PC here >>

    http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/mass-effect-3-performance-benchmark,3143.html

Also Tom’s runs a regular what’s the best graphics card for £/$ here’s the March edition.

    http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107.html

At the end of the whats best there’s a graphics card Hierarchy chart for a v/rough comparison, for example by choosing X card are you jumping up a few levels in performance.

I think the AMD 77xx series look a tasty option at the moment the 7770 is at 6850 performance and draws less power, the 7750 doesn’t even need an extra power connector on it.

Off peak return from Flint on the 07:21 to Euston £74.20 plus free car parking. But all depends I guess what time you have to been down there for any earlier and they hammer you.

Took a faulty Asus tablet back to them the other week, they tried it on with me saying I should contact Asus directly. Threw a bit of a wobbler and refused to back down so after about 10-15mins they took it.

Since then I’ve had the Comet customer services ring up tree times just to confirm details, update me confirming I was right in the first place about the and now that its gone back to Asus (via them) for repair. So it is a wait and see on if it gets fixed plus get all the box contents back too.

92 for me, does that mean that I’ve been riding that long they can be considered to be Roman Roads? Got a length of the Clwyds Llandegla to Prestatyn ride planned in July that should be fun.

Was being discrete in mentioning that subject as there are a few places like that up there, even some that are a bit on the challenging side to walk down never mind ride down.

Knowing where that pic was taken 10/10 if you had managed all of the climb up the Mangler on a singlespeed, hell good going down it on a rigid bike if you were going in the other direction.

Yes a Broadcom employee is developing an I/O board in his spare time called the Gertboard

    http://www.geek.com/articles/chips/raspberry-pis-gertboard-expansion-board-already-works-video-2012019/

Think the idea of realeasing the 10,000 barebones boards is for the resultant community to start building some critical mass regards the tools/tutorials etc..

My view is even if the pupil is presented with a CLI in which they have to type startx to get their GUI, then there will be some that will wonder what else they can type at that prompt. If they trash the filesystem so what, it’ll be easy enough to reformat the SD card and write an image file to it.

As for games they can knock something quickly together with Python, take a look at Liam Frasier’s Raspberry PI tutorials on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/RaspberryPiTutorials?ob=0&feature=results_main

I dreaded Key and Lamp systems luckily there wasn’t many on my patch apart from a beast of one at a local bookies. HES4’s were plenty thou, forgotten about them dodgy contacts in the next station down the chain being the usual fault.

For the really old engineers amongst you, howabout finding a ringing problem on a Plan 4.

Worst shock I ever got was working on a Telex line right out in the wilds, it was still on open wires (due to distance from exchange) on a short pole so had my ladder at full extension with head between wires in the peeing rain, when the wind blew the wires against my head. Luckily I had my belt around the pole and as it was close to the road had used the ladder instead of my spikes (saved for big trudges across fields etc) saw one hell of a flash and nearly came off as it was. Now buzzbars and shocks is a whole new set of stories..

Mole grips/Lock grips giving it a twist in conjunction with the allen key or a torx bit hammered in giving it a twist will get it out.

I’ve a GF3 with the 20mm Prime and it easily fits in a ziplock freezer bag that I just put in my Camelbak. Not as easy to get to as the shoulder strap holder I’ve got to fit a compact but I’ll put up with the slight hassle of getting to for the protection if offers.

Talk you through looking at some error log, convince you that this means you should either give them remote control of your PC or install a bit of their security software, trying then to charge you for it and most likely installing a trojan/key logger on your PC.

Been tinkering with a emulation of it in QEMU set for an Arm1176 CPU with 256mb of RAM and an Debian ARM distro with LXDE and it runs OK, so no doubt on the proper hardware with what is supposed to be quite a good GPU built into the main chip it should be quite impressive.
