All depends if the US have a pile of bombs near their use by date, could be cheaper to drop them on someone rather than follow all the enviro recycling regs back home.

Check to see what protocols are supported, streaming video websites could be a good method of doing this.

Use a big beanbag as a pillow, helps stop you rolling over in your sleep and screaming yourself awake.

Same thing has happened at least twice to my knowledge on a house on an S bend about 1/4 mile away from here, last time the car didn’t even touch the garden just clipped the top of the garden wall and ended up embedded in the first floor of a house extension.

Out on the pop in the middle of Cardiff, next thing I know I’m wading thru a stream in the countryside, worked out later that I’d walked past my digs and carried on completely out of the city.

Decided at closing time that a lampost climbing competition was a good idea with the winner being the person the fastest up and down, I got to the top and figured that letting go would be the quickest way of getting down, woke up in an ambulance wearing an oxygen mask.

On the same lampost theme won a bet on climbing the one of those big 60 foot ones in the middle of a dual carriageway.

Pansonic LX5 can be set to macro even at a 24mm equiv, guess the crop factor is something silly despite the F2 aperture.

Here’s hoping for vastly different VAT rates so we can do some cross border bike part smuggling.

Used to live in Monk Sherbourne and then later on in Old Basing, both great places to live, at the time I worked in Basingstoke and then a bit later on in Reading, it was quite a contrast between the workplace surrounding and then home. It didn’t bother me adding a bit more time on the commute for a more relaxing enviroment later on. Guess I’m saying be prepared to travel a bit more it can be worth it.

Fox shocks have quite a broad range when it comes to rebound with standard generic non custom (bikes from the shop floor) if it is still too fast then I would suggest it is in dire need of a full service as there is something obviously wrong with it.

As an example when I was a fat bugga and putting nearly 300psi in mine (on three different bikes) I never needed to go beyond one click either side of the middle of the rebound range.

I’d discount the carbon frame by a large amount, as it stands they are coming to the end of the early adopter stage with high prices for something that is mass production with low costs to produce, factory workers slapping resin n fibres into a mould, pressure it up and bake (ok its slightly more than that) The like of On One are showing that carbon frames are easier to produce aka cheaper than the previous cheapo darling for frames.

One of my Great Uncles was in R&D in Rhydymwyn Works but he was then shipped off to to Los Alamos for the rest of the war, he never said to anyone what he did, but I have a guess that one of his older brothers had a serious effect on him, as I remember sitting on the knee of my Great Uncle Wid when I was a nipper about 1970 in the nursing home with him wheezing away with his oxygen mask due to the mess made of his lungs in the first war by being gassed in the trenches.

Agree with Cougar most of the Cisco training courses will set you up to squeeze thru the cert exams if you take them soon after the course. However the requirement is to keep the networks running when you plug in your kit and for the kit to work correctly and securely afterwards. Plenty of hands on will reinforce the training or enable you to get more out of any such training course so self study guides with kit to practise on with no fear of killing a live network is invaluable.

Take a look at Bytemark, lots of flexibility when it comes to virtual machines and decent bandwidth allowances too.

Good point I’ll have to work out a test just to see by how much. Off to Google some ideas on how to test.

Gave the RAM disk as go, using it for the cache in Chrome and for temp files, have to say I’m impressed with the difference in browsing speed.

A lot of the Ultrabooks will not a have a GPU to support the PPCS6 GPU acceleration requirements as they rely on the built in Intel HD graphics.

I’ve just had a look at the config file in PPCS6 for Cuda Supported cards and it lists these >>

    GeForce GTX 285
    GeForce GTX 470
    GeForce GTX 570
    GeForce GTX 580
    GeForce GT 650M
    GeForce GTX 680
    Quadro CX
    Quadro FX 3700M
    Quadro FX 3800
    Quadro FX 3800M
    Quadro FX 4800
    Quadro FX 5800
    Quadro 2000
    Quadro 2000D
    Quadro 2000M
    Quadro 3000M
    Quadro 4000
    Quadro 4000M
    Quadro 5000
    Quadro 5000M
    Quadro 5010M
    Quadro 6000
    Tesla C2075

So a laptop with the GT 650M chipset is the one to look for I guess.

    Just found this http://www.pointsinfocus.com/learning/digital-darkroom/enable-cuda-in-premier-pro-cs6-without-a-quadro/
Think I’ll have a test of it as my laptop has the GT 640M in it (Samsung Series 7 Chronos)

Ethernet connection between modem and router set up/defaulting as 10mbps half duplex perhaps? Set both ends manually to 100mbps full duplex.

You have not said if your broadband service is ADSL or Cable if it’s the latter sometimes cable services can get themselves mucked up over the MAC address of the router being different to the MAC address of the computer/laptop you directly connected to the modem when you first activated the service.

Yep its mostly off road and I haven’t heard of anyone actually doing it since we first did it back in 2010. Only memorable road climb is the Bwlch y Groes up the tough side.

I’m one of the riders that did it originally, my tips.

You will need to get a couple of 7-8 hour rides under your belt, not so much for the fitness as I’m sure you’ll get that nailed no problems, but to get your bike set up spot on as trust me you’ll suffer at some point and you don’t want anything magnifying the pains you will have. They will also help you suss out how often and what to have food and drink wise.

Then even on day 1 use plenty of chamois cream, get the pad in your shorts full of it before you then apply some to your skin too. Otherwise the shorts just act like a blotting pad and soak it up.

Any more questions give me a shout (email in profile)

If you remain with Three then go with something that will support LTE as they have said it will be no fee to upgrade to LTE when they deploy it.

Local Sustrans cycle tracks for me today, but as locals know when the wind is against you down by the River Dee 5+ miles of exposed flat track becomes almost a mountain to climb. Taking pics made for an excuse to have a breather.

Still loving the Bodycap lens on my GF3, I might give it a go on my GX1 but it’s so portable on the GF3 while I’m on my bike that it might have a permanent home there.

Then there’s the fact that Coal Fired power stations release more radiation into the atmosphere every year than any other type of power station nuclear included.
