Or try Wine or Codeweavers Crossover, well if either supports the app in question.

This advice is going back 30 years, but there used to be a bleed screw you took out and waited till oil came out of the hole and then replaced the screw.

Get the wind direction wrong and the two lakes will cripple you, get it right and you will go at warp speed. It’s high up and exposed on both lakes, combine them with some of the trails down towards Cloceanog and you can have a good day out.

I’ve been up at Innerleithen and come across a trio sessioning some of the sections on the XC trail whilst smoking some spliffs.

Got one as a works phone so it gets some hammer usage wise, good battery, excellent speakers, nippy, good look and feel to it. Only downside is that the camera whilst it works pretty well in low light is eclipsed by most other phones in normal conditions.

The argument should not be with the prospective employer but the entity delivering the judgement and punishment. If said entity has said X equals for punishment for breaking the laws/rules laid down for someone who is a member of that society then on completion of the punishment then that person is back within that society.

For all of you who have committed an offence from a parking ticket, speeding offence and upwards should we ban you from a role that could mean you are working in a similar area once you punishment is complete.

Like most corps the muppets brought in to look at the of driving costs out, the CEO’s rewarded/incentivised on short term gain are to blame, R&D unless its measured in a handful of months is now not prioritised and the first item on the cut list when the CEO decides that its time to drive up the share price and the only method they know is to reduce costs as they have no effing clue how to grow a business.

Ambition is being actively attacked by luddites, from investment in power generation and distribution(whatever it is from wind thru to nuclear) to anything that uses radio waves or resistance to inoculation against diseases long since almost eradicated.

What we are lacking is people with vision who are willing to and have the sanction from their investors to stick the proverbial middle finger up and forge their own path.

Racing a 911 wondering why he kept looking in his mirror at me, then I realised I was at 135mph with my bike still on the roof rack.

As a teenager driven through a town centre using the choke as cruise control on my parents car while my legs were out of the window.

Slid thru a garden wall on a motorbike only for an old school mate come out of the house to pick me up and say I was the seventh thru the wall that year.

    Lots n lots more.

With the 1150 check that the Mobo can support or has a BIOS update to support the latest Intel Haswell CPUs. Intel started out with the H87 and Z87 motherboard chipsets on the 1150 CPU’s, but recently brought out a revision to the 1150 CPU’s along with the new 97 series chipsets. 2011 was looking a bit old but Intel have just come put with a revision to 2011 along with new CPU’s.

1150 I5 is a good price performance combo.

I’ve got an Asus Z87-Pro motherboard and what sold it for me was the whole software board management suite, the fan tuning on its own makes it worth it. So my tip would be to go for an Asus Z97 series board.

There’s also the Draytek range 28xx series that support QoS along with the option for multiple SSIDs that you can also set up with rate control and time scheduling for example switching off his WiFi access at a certain time every night, along with options for content filtering.

I had the Mk1 loved it, but it cracked on the chainstay in the same month as I broke my Turner 5 Spot.

The Soda was a great ride springy yes but in a good way. Having had a Soul Mk1 and still got my Morning Glory I’d say the Soda sat somewhere in between the two.

I use Bytemark more so for the choice of OS, their really responsive support and Symbiosis which makes managing a server and multiple domains really easy. Having a console shell to do a power reset or fix things when you have royally c*cked things up is great. Oh and a regular monthly price rather than a variable one.

I did a set of the Deores a few weeks back, followed the Epic instructions to the letter and as per davidrussell above spent ages pinging the lever (Step 12 in the Epic instructions) to get all the bubbles out.

Sod the switching the heating on, it’s how long you leave the windows open 24 hours a day. The heating is something left for ages after that.

I once with the help of a friendly IT guy managed to wire in a radio into an ACD, dial a short code number and you could listen to the radio. Boss used to wonder why so many people wore their headsets for their entire shift.

Done that you could even recognise the make and size of the rotor on my leg. Worst flipping the bike doing wheelie in the Marin car park before the ride even started, I hit the ground that hard all I could think at the time was I hope that soft squidgy feeling was mud otherwise I’ve just shat myself.

You can alter the video settings, but it will still grab as much cpu as it can get, on my i5 Macbook as an example running it for a few mins saw a total CPU utilisation between 45% and 75% ish.

I’d agree with the other posters get one with integrated graphics in the CPU to start with that you can add a graphics card to later if needed. AMD has the lead in the performance stakes when it comes to the graphics grunt when its built into a CPU, but their CPU performance is lower than Intel.

This spec comes in under your budget >>

Noting that you will need to add to that price for Windows but they can supply Windows 7 on a disc, so no crapware included.

Oh and stock up well on food and water you might not get a chance to top up along the route, there used to be a little village shop about half way along but it shut down a few years back, I seem to remember that there was a little cafe/coffee shop in its place when we went past a few months back, but we didn’t stop to have nose and see what its opening times were.

Lots of the route are footpaths and get really busy at the weekend, you’ll most likely have a verbal clash at some point along it.

Here’s a alternative that uses legal trails and uses Offa’s Dyke sections that are legal to ride and to be honest is a fair bit more rideable than some of the cheeky sections if you stuck the path all the way along it.

    http://www.theedgecycleworks.com/mtbroutes/north-wales-coast-2-coast-day-4/

It starts a Gweryd Lakes but that’s only a few miles down the back lanes from Llandegla village anyway.

On MBNW we have had an annual ride of the route over the past few years in June/July with some minor tweaks as its a good long day out, and after we ride home for another 30km when we get to Prestatyn, so a good test of the legs, 100% rideable when it’s dry but expect a ton of hard climbing.

Rear mech is about ’76/77, the frame I’m sure my father has something similar as the lugging looks very like one of his bikes, I’ll check with him, if so I’d suggest late 70’s early to mid 80’s

Video smooths out things and depending on the lens will compress/stretch things out, try recording a section of single track and then playing it back it looks super smooth when you know full well you were getting battered at the time, there is no way from a single viewpoint video that you can judge a road/track. Why do people walk drive a track prior to a race rather than just relying on Youtube videos, all it takes is a few dips compare the angle of view for a car driver to the motorcyclist with is camera a couple of feet higher.

What I’m saying is unless you have physically been along that road how can we judge?

My sister was in intensive care for months after she pulled out of a junction and got sideswiped from the right that hard that it moved the car that far sideways it made all the tyres bald and my sisters body broke the metal buckle of the passengers seatbelt.

Pulling out of junction and getting hammered fair enough her fault but.. at the road limit with the visibility of the road (bend/hill) she had enough time to pull out, but some muppet was doing a 100+ so was still the around the bend and other side of the hill when she pulled out. If he was travelling at double the speed limit there she would have seen him and he would have had time to brake as would he, but treble no chance.

What I regret was his rear seat passengers were not belted in and received worse injuries than him he walked away from it. So please don’t be hasty to judge anyone without traversing that particular section of road and understanding what the visibility would be like at legal or beyond speeds.
