Would a spotify subscription get round it?

I doubt it. Technically if you have a BBQ in your back garden and play music you should have a license!
Spotify is just paying to listen, same as buying a cd. To broadcast it is different.

Urban myth I recon but possible if she’s singing a song someone else wrote.

I’ve had to pay for 20 years to have a radio in my wife’s hair salon.
It used to be just ppl but about 5 years ago PRS poped up and sent a bill. It’s about £170 for the two.
Had a proper barny with PRS as they tried to fine me and charge me for back dated years.
Offered to pay everything they wanted as long as they gave me evidence of a specific copyright that had been breached. They both have very underhand tactics during telephone calls, pretending there doing market research is one of them (how many employees, what radio stations do you listen to etc)
    Shysters if you ask me!

Xc60 2.4d auto here as well. 2010. Black with full cream leather.
Only done 33k but had no problems apart from a dodgy sensor on the airbag thingy?
About 30 about town but 40+ on a run.

    She’s only about 5’2″ so a 29er might be a bit big.
It won’t be mountain bike territory. Gravel bridalways would be the extreme but mostly pathways.

Ditto. I supply/fit kitchens. Measure up, give a fair price for very good quality gear and then hear the’ve gone to B&poo etc and bought flat pack tosh.

Anybody in Andorra/been very recently and can give feedback on conditions? Off there on Sunday for a week, first time there…

I’m in arinsal at the minute been here since the 16th. Snow on piste is in pretty good shape considering there hasn’t been much snow this season. Nothing off piste.

Have a look at snowboardcoach.co.uk and find out when he is running a performance day at one of the domes.
It’s about £100 including slope time and is worth every penny.
What Stevo is talking about is bang on.
I had to undo years of poor technique and take everything back to basics and it’s made my riding much better.
Cross over turns – as you’ve finished the turn your body crosses over the board as you start the next turn, in effect your leaning down the slope.
Cross under – your head follows a straight line and the legs/board do all the moving.
Neither one of those turns are generally used by the side slipping masses that haven’t had more than a day or 2’s worth of lessons.

I’m half way through a 2 week trip in Andorra.
Nearly everyone has a gopro on a stick or on their helmet regardless of their ability.
It seem that the worse you board/ski the more you want to record it?

I’m not an instructor but I’ve spent a few weeks ridng with high level basi guys.
I started in 94 ish? When it was all shoulder and positive stances. Took a bit to change to foot pedaling basi style but I now can ride pretty much anything using the same technique.
Counter rotation will get you going quickly but as soon as you move from easy blues to anything steeper you’ll hit a block.
You see it on every piste. 90mph (look hey I’m cool) then heel edge down this steep bit and 90mph again.

I’m heading to the airport as I type. Going snowboarding for a week.

Ditto on the pop ups. I wouldn’t like to sleep 3 adults in my 3 man but 2 adult and a child is fine for a few nights camping. It’s even got little led lights built in.
Anything longer and the kyman goes up.

I’m cracking open a beer when others are still scratching their heads trying to put theirs up.

I refill a glass bottle and keep it in the fridge. For some reason (prob in my head) it tastes better.

    Don’t do it.

I started when I was about 21ish (44 now). Started snowboarding about the same time.
My hard earned 4 years apprenticeship that I had recently completed was a waste of time as I quit work, bought a clapped out vw van (still got it), grew my hair and spent most days at the beach.
    Was fun tho………….

I wouldn’t have one of them screwdriver testers in my tool box!
The official way is to test using a two pronged voltage tester across L/N and L/E but only after it has been “proved” on a known live source or a proving box (small battery powered box).

I mostly use the pen type that lights the end up but I do test that it works first.
But tbh it’s just as easy to switch the lot off as the rcd (if fitted) normaly trips.

Sales – material etc = gross profit
Gross profit – expenses = nett profit
Nett profit is what your tax is calculated on. ( (nett profit – tax code allowance) x 20% should give you a ball park figure then add about 8% for national insurance)

If the other lights have stopped working, it sounds like you’ve dislodged something. As you’ve changed a lamp, I’d check that one first. Make sure the electric is off before hand!

ive looked at leasing/pcp etc a few times and always end up just buying, be it a loan/finance/cash.

even more so if for private use.

print the deal off from the broker and go into the local showroom and see what they can offer

Have I worked it our correctly…that would be 15K over three years to not own a car? That sounds pretty insane to me. My wife had a brand new Tiguan for 3 years, over which time it lost about 6K. Servicing was paid up front (£250 I think), didn’t cost a penny, other than fuel. It was a base model, but she was happy with it. No hassles with having to prep it when handing back.

Yip. The best cash price I could get was just short of £25k

    So £340 x36 = £12240
    Plus £3k = £15240
Plus a £10k balloon payment to own it.

    Total paid £25240

    Seemed fair?

Roofing suppliers sell a stuff called teckatorch or something like that. You heat it up as you roll it out. Melts the underside and sticks to anything!

I’ve used them for snowboarding to keep in touch with mates. They are as stated line of sight, they won’t go over a valley. The best I got out of them was about 5km, me at a gondola station and the wife in a bar in the town. I used to use them at home when my daughter was little. I live in an old 3 story house and I’d leave one in her room as we couldn’t here her if she shouted. She thought it was cool!
I’ve got some Doro ones from currys that are tiny, and some older Motorola’s.
I found them both to have good battery life and would last all day, as they took rechargeable battery’s you could always take extra, but for a day on the slopes they were fine.
I found the motos to have a better range but as there all limited in power 0.5w I think, there wasn’t much in it.

It’s a tricky one. Unless the 15 mins was timed, it could have been a half hour, but as he’s not charging an hourly rate as long as the correct checks have been carried out it’s not much of an argument.
Did you ask for an inspection or an inspection and a service?
If it was an inspection only, he checked it, it could have been fine when he left and a small pilot light fault has occurred afterwards?
I use a few gas safe heating engineers for my business and rental properties. I pay in between £30-45 for a cp12 and they aren’t in the house for very long!

Anyone know when Celebrity A&E The Jump starts? Ch4 website just says Early 2015.”

I lad I know has been asked to coach on it this year. It’s going to have snowboarding as well as skiing.

I sort of ended up a landlord by accident. Bought a building that my wife had rented a shop in for 10 years for £19k. It was just before the big jump in prices. Forward a couple of years and I had three shops/one maisonette renovated and rented. Bought another 2 houses and a flat the following few years and then the credit crunch happened.
Never had any serious problems and manage/repair everything myself.
Make a fair return for the hassle.
My best tips for anyone is to buy a place that will sell easily when you need out, I know many people with 20+ flats in run down areas and can’t get out! seemed a good idea buying cheap property but they are stuck with them now.
Choose tenants well!!!!! Better to have an empty house than a nightmare tenant, credit/tenant checks are easily done and you will hear “I’ve never missed any payments” before you mention checks and then the story changes afterwards!

I’ve got an auto Volvo xc60. Awd.
They recommend popping it into manual and using gear 3. Never had any drama apart from nearly going into the back of a hearse on ice once! It’s got winters on now but never been tested on snow yet.

Yes it’s normal. I have an 800 set of drawers under a 900 hob.
You might have to cut the gable tops of the units for it to fit. (That’s normal too)
I wouldn’t worry about the gas connection. It will fit somehow.
