I fit kitchens and unless I supply them, it’s got sweet FA to do with me if the customers cabinets are the wrong size?
I’ll try and help to rectify but a lot of the time the doors are boxed separately to the units so to try and go through a mountain of boxes before hand isn’t going to happen.
The responsibility lies with the supplier to rectify.
I can’t see what the problem is from the photo, but usually the doors are slightly smaller than the units/end panels etc.
A 500×720 wall unit would have a door size of 496×716 or there abouts.
I take it that the extractor has a frontal attached to it. Can that not be adjusted to align it?

Used to have a garage full of motocross bikes. Broke into garage, couldn’t get past chains so went through the house instead.
Usual stuff stolen, but they took my cockatiel bird as well! Keys for the car were on the bottom of the stairs, was a nearly new fiesta xr2, that was found dumped a few days later with the keys still in it.
We were in bed when it happened.

The 2 cables are will come from the rose. Live and a switched live back to power the lamp.
If there is only 2 terminals at the switch, it’s either knackered (test with a meter) or there is a live/live bridge behind the switch assuming that’s the only thing you’ve touched.
Take switch off and check cables for damage cover bare ends and turn power back on and the light should be off.

I surfed the NE coast for years as well as a few others and rips are a real danger.
My local break is a rip paddle out. You could be in the line up without paddling or getting your hair wet.
People would follow suit and get into trouble on a regular basis myself included!
Scary place when your well behind the line up and your not getting anywhere and your energy levels are dropping.
    Sad news.

My father in law asked me the same question a few years ago. Ended up with a dewalt sds and a 12v drill/driver from screwfix. Fast forward to today and his drill/driver packed in after 12mth as it wasn’t getting used but the sds is still going strong.
So my advice would be sds and a cheapy cordless.

    There isn’t such a thing as a part p qualification or a register. It’s a building regulation.
The work your looking at doesn’t fall under the part p building reg so it can be done by any competent person whether they are part of a recognised electric body (niceic/nappit/elecsa etc) or not.
A minor works should be issued whoever you use.
Can you not fit an immersion timer to run the heater? Feed from a fused connection unit spured from the socket (assuming its part of the ring final circuit)

I’ve got the flux. Great jacket. I’ve also got a huge down jacket from when the warehouse had a sale a few weeks ago.
No idea what it’s called, but it’s like putting on a giant sleeping bag.

Had a big tent. Hated putting it up. Bought a quick erect kyham, great for longer stays or if the weather looks iffy but this get the most use http://www.decathlon.co.uk/2-seconds-xl-fresh-illumin-ii-pop-up-tent-white-green-id_8244773.html
Pull up, pop tent up, peg down and crack open a beer!
2 adults and a 13 year old daughter fit fine for a few nights.

Not sure if the mbna will allow a positive balance to be accepted, could be interesting if it does, mbna used to be great for repeat deals and shifting credit limits around.
I’ve just closed a tesco card and cant re-apply for 3 mths!
When Egg pulled the money card, a lot of people tried and failed on other cards to put a positive balance on them, the tranfer was rejected but the BT charge was applicable.
I don’t have much problem getting the cash at the minute as I supply kitchens, customer pays me by cheque/cash, I pay the supplier with a card then transfer the balance to an empty card. Stick the money in my offset mortgage.

    I have an offset mortgage.
Apply for a card – get a free balance transfer to a card that allowed a positve balance (egg money) – transfer cash to offset account – pay min balance – pay card off when deal ends – wait a month and do it again.
Multiply that by 10 cards and it’s a lot of free credit.
It pretty much ended when they started charging balance transfer fees.

I don’t think there is any that do this free. Egg money used to be the card of choice but sadly it got dropped.
Used to be a full on stoozer at one time, £50k plus in my offset account!
Still have ways of getting cash but it’s through my busines.

They are pretty standard apart from ikea tbh! It’s normally the bathroom stuff that have smaller holes.

I swapped my van and 4wd Volvo to nokian a last year.
As you know last winter was very mild. Haven’t really noticed much difference in the car but the van in the wet has a lot more traction.
Never got around to swapping back in summer and can’t say I’ve noticed.
Hopefully we’ll get some heavy snow to try them out properly this year.
Ps. The reason I swapped was losing the Volvo the winter before whilst braking and nearly rear ending a hearse, luckily it was empty at the time!

The Blum ones should in theory fit. Give them a try and if no good take them back.

    russ295

I doubt the screwfix ones will fit straight on.
    These might http://www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk/products/hinges/cabinet_hinges/438025/blum_clipon_hinge_170_degree/261722
But you have to buy the soft closers separate.

They should be…… But ikea are sometimes random in their sizes.
You may have to re drill the carcass to suit the mounting plates.

I’ve got a van! But didn’t know they’d class it as comercial.

    russ295

It should have had a 2 year warranty, but because it’s located in the back of her shop they class it as commercial. No warranty.
If I’d have known this before I bought it I wouldn’t have spent £1200 on it. Bloody thing has hardly been used tbh!

The repair that hasn’t worked is guaranteed.

Yeah was going to. Just pee’d off at there attitude tbh. They put us onto the section that deals with the warranties and even he said “unofficially” it stinks.

There was a snowboarder that frequented a forum I use that died a few years ago.
Even though I’d never met him, we had shared something if that makes any sense? it hit home pretty hard as he was a regular poster, I and many others read his replies in awe, always helpful and friendly.

Yes water is wet. Bit like your sarky reply.
It was in my local asda posted by someone I know, so it wasn’t the general bs that’s on fb.
Would you be happy to pay 46p for a plastic bag?

    russ295

Some one posted a video on my FB weighing a £1 pre priced pack of bananas at asda, it showed 54p on the scales.
I’m going to try it next time I’m there.

I had this a few years ago. Waited for a skip on a Monday and it turned up at 5pm. It was in a back lane.
Turned up the following day and there was a bed, wardrobe and a set of drawers in it.
Removed them and phoned the council and told them and that they were on the roadside waiting to be collected.
Turned up that day to remove.

I’ve been to borovets , pamparovo (many years ago) and Bansko. Out of all three I’ve only returned to Bansko (7 times)
It can be a pain at the gondola at times but it’s ok if you get there early, but last time I was there it just seemed to be full of out of control Russians and witnessed many unecessary accidents.
I’ve been to Andorra (arinsal) a few times over the last 2 years and have enjoyed it. Will be heading back this year at some point. The ski and board tuition looked to be pretty good. Prices are pretty good aswell.
I spent 2 weeks in Sierra Nevada in January. The lift passes are quite expensive for the resort size and there wasn’t many English speaking instructors. It’s the second time I’ve been but I doubt I’d return.

I try and hit flats faster than is possible!
I’m not a lover of completely flat, I normally favour an slight edge swapping when necessary.

I swapped the stock tyres for some 28mm gator skins as soon as I got mine but felt a bit meh!
Fitted some 37mm slicks on this morn and went for a 30 mile mix of bridleways/road/singletrack and apart from falling off and gashing my finger on a thorny bush it was like a different bike. It felt like I was riding a nice comfy armchair and could have rode all day!

As previously stated I’ve been snowboarding for over 20 years.
With out sounding like a dick, I’m at a pretty good level on/off piste, not interested in freestyle.
I’ve spent many weeks riding with level 3/4 basi instructors.
What I see, is the the majority of resort riders have had a few lessons or have been taught by a mate and can’t progress as they have bad techniques ingrained into thier riding.
That’s where the frustration sets in as they want to go faster/steeper and they haven’t got the skills to do so.
How many times I’ve heard or read “I’ve been boarding (please don’t call it that!) a week and was doing blacks etc”
Yes you probably have been down a black, heel edging all the way down then rear foot – counter rotation turning for the rest of the week with the classic handbag arm.
IMO try and get on a riding week with a reputable snowboard school. It will improve your snowboarding ten fold and you’ll be having that much fun you will forget about the urge to ski.
And flat basing, it’s a pain expecialy with the new style reverse camber boards but what catches people out is when the board wants to wander, go with it for a few seconds because it’s you that’s making it wander, then once your happy get back to flat or gently onto the other edge.
