CX-ray spokes are much tougher than other spokes so will last longer. I. Had super comps and they snap alot at the nipple so avoid. Sapim do another spoke which is lighter and stronger than the cx-ray spokes but forget what their called. I have the cx-ray spokes and are the best I have used by far.

You can apply clear nail varnish then wet and dry it to smooth it out to make the surface even.

No worries, alot of them needed bleeding from new but mine didn’t but I had to shorten the hose which I would have thought you would need to do as its a bit over kill the amount you get. Still they are great posts, but get some one to help as the extra pair of hands speeds things up and makes it a lot easier to do. Enjoy

The 2012 will be the barbed fit as its the new improved connections. Also you always need to bleed new brakes and this system is no different, just bleed and go ride. They are the muts nuts!!

All good, only real difference on the different dot fluids is their boiling point. Just don’t use mineral type brake fluids. You are good to go…

I think their needs to be a ‘sticky’ on Reverb post!! The Rockshox warranty is world wide, but the service centre in the UK is not set up to take posts from individual customers so they state you have to send it via a bike shop with the original receipt. This does not need to be the original shop you purchased it from, just a shop which they can invoice etc so you may have to pay the postage. Warranty on the posts are 2 years and the tolerances on the 2012 post are tighter so will have less play and be sealed better, although I have had no problems with my 2011 post in 11 months of use. All info from the service centre so is 100% correct.

When we asked him to explain he stared at the floor, totally silent until we left. Weird!

You should have shouted at him, as he may have been hard of hearing!!

Get the Hope V2 brakes, utterly brilliant brakes. The masses will say Shimano but thats just boring

Wrong info from matt, the mmx is the same as the normal bar mount just with an extra bit for fitting your xx brakes to. This bit can be removed so is then like a normal bar mount for the reverb. Right and Left is which side its mounted on, on the top of the bar but they can be mounted on the opposite side turned up side down so it will be on the under side of the bar, this is how a lot of people prefer to mount it as its out of the way in case of an accident so will not get damaged.

Look on ebay as their is a seller from singapore I believe who sells Fox forks. My friend got a set of 2012 Fox Talas 140 FIT with Kashima for £520 delivered and they are the real thing. Can’t go wrong at that price.

I use Gore windstopper gloves ad when it gets really cold I use a merino liner glove.

Just get the 140mm Talas as the bike rides great with this travel in any situation, then drop it down for the climbs thats what I do. The new Fox forks with Kashima and SKF seals are a huge leap in performance over previous fox forks, also the FIT damper is sweet and dosen’t get fazed by rough repeated hits.

If I were you I would visit the diy lights forum over on mtbr site as these guys produce some top notch stuff and have great ideas/understanding of these things:

Why are other people giving advice when Loco (suspension guru) is giving his advice! Do as Loco said, theirs a 1 year warranty on fox suspension products.

The Bonty XR4 2.2’s are great apart from on mud I found, on rock and chalk they have exceptional grip. The conti 2.2 rubber queens are my all time favourite tyre but don’t fit in my current frame, the conti X-kings 2.4’s are really good but do cut up easily. So I would go with the rubber queens if they fit as they are quite tall.

I like my front end quite high so its down to personal preference so run it with the CK external headset and about an inch of spacers:

I struggled to post this picture as it dosen’t do the bike any justice.

Got the Yeti and run it with 140mm forks and throw it down most things, the bike is ace and can take a pounding. It has improved my riding and riding style no end. But if I owned the Turner I would probably say the same thing, can’t go wrong with either. I’m 38 if that helps…

Same bike and I opted for CK hubs on crest rims with sapim bladed spokes. The hubs are a piece of art work and so big and chunky. Just got the tool to service them with so can’t wait to start tinkering. I would highly recommend the CK hubs.

I just got these, check under the insole as after 1 ride the stitching holding the soles in place was already coming undone so glued them inplace! As people have said before 5.10 have the best sticky soles on trainers but are the worst made!

Pricing’s are wrong, when I had a 2008 ex9 I bought a magnesium rocker to upgrade from the 2 peice alloy one and it was only £35 and came with the bearings so if your LBS are quoting £87 for this rocker they are ripping you off. I used to have the part number, If I can find it I will email it on. Also if you got the rocker link don’t pay £25 for some one to undo then re-tighten 4 bolts!!!

You will have to send it to the Sram service centre via a local bike shop as they are not set up to take them from individuals.

Every one has forgot the most important reason why they are rubbish, You can’t have a bling colour to match the rest of your bike this is why external BB are the best, also you can use a chain device with external BB when their are no frame mounts for one.

I would size up as I was in the middle of medium. The problem is the elastic on the lycra edges is to tight so your feet will go numb but if you have really skinny legs then you will be ok as my legs are normal and no way considered big and I had to size up.
