Changes I believe are the collar is black instead of silver, theirs also a collar you can attach to the shaft to custom set the max drop (pointless imo) and the connector at top of post for the hose is thicker (i believe this is already on the latest batch of 2011 posts) pointless waiting when you can get the present 1 for £195 from hibike, I know what I would do and have done..

Yep Yeti ASR-5 all the way, I run mine with 140mm Talas so even more of a slack head angle.

You only want the black chilli variety, look at life-cycles they are around £37 with free delivery which is worth it as they are excellent tyres. Worth paying a little more for good rubber as it is the only part of your bike in contact with the ground.

Nope just the web site, you get a first time purchase discount if you use someone else’s id number, just do a google search for myprotein code.

Go onto myprotein website, its renowned to be about the best out their with very hi quality whey protein which is what you require. I use the Max Total Peptide as I find it dosen’t give me the worlds worst farts which you will find a lot of others will. OK if you live on your own but I know my partner didn’t appreciate it as much as I did!

Also try enduro seals, I rate them a lot, seem to keep the crap out more and also the forks run smoother.

Opposite with me, Hope X2 look sweet as well. My friend had a similar problem, I fixed it by bleeding them with the pads out and the pistons nearly touching using anything fairly slim which you can then lever them apart again with out damaging once finished the bleeding process, he then had all the bite and power he wished for.

I never really found my medium to be long, if anything it felt very slightly shorter than my 17.5 Trek EX I had before. Sweet bike, If you do decide to get one I can highly recommend freeflowbikes in scotland, they do next day delivery for free and if you pay full price for the frame they will include and fit a Chris King headset and bottom bracket for free, or like me I got the frame for £1350 and they price matched a CK headset for £135. I would also recommend 130mm-140mm forks for this frame, I have run both but prefer 140mm with a little more sag.

Just got some point one racing podium pedals, super sweet and low. Can’t fault them and seem really well made/strong/stiff so should last.

    ASR-5a, 5’10 – Medium
80mm stem with 711 low rise bars
Reverb post set with a little layback (switch the rail plates round)
No issues, No regrets. I run it with 140mm Talas. Great bike, get one !

Loctite 222 for me, middleburn use this for their chainring bolts.222 is low strength needing 6Nm torque to remove and 243 is the blue medium Loctite which requires about 36Nm torque to remove so a little overkill.

Contact your nearest specialised concept store, Number for Bristol is 01179297368, or contact Duncan at Specialised HQ who builds and services the wheels on 02083913500. Go straight to Duncan as this is who the shop will phone, and he will tell you prices and anything else you need to know.

You can get replacement rovals rims from specialised, they are expensive at around £90 each but you could send them to their HQ where they will rebuild it for you and you would more than likely get the rim cheaper as a crash replacement. You can use the spokes again but check the nipples as are alloy so will carrode and crack, again specialised can do these for you or sell them to you.

My friend got some of the sticky on cable guides from Hibike when getting a reverb and they were silver and came with those plastic snap in clips you get with your frames. I think they were jagwire.

Much better seals for keeping everything running sweet. I found that once they break in the forks run much more smoothly with no stiction.

Buy them and fit them yourself and use enduro seals next time.

I had the mountain morph, now prefer CO2 canisters from tyreinflators website as these are the cheapest and to top up I use a lezyne pump which is excellent, uses old school tech which means no bending of the valves.

The xx matchmaker is an extra bit which goes on the bar clamp, so all you have to do is remove and then fit as you normally would. Still I would and did get 1 from Hibike as came in the box with all the kit you should get with it for the same money, No brainer imo.

Those spider eyes look like a DIY light thread I’ve been watching on mtbr for the last 4 months. Looks as though both will be the perfect helmet light.

Rusty is correct. Also I find profide just conditions the leather not waterproofing. I have heard of people using ‘sno-seal’ with good results, I will try this out soon. So far my saddle has spent the majority of It’s life wrapped in a plastic bag, but still the most comfy saddle ever.

Careful with the chain reaction reverb posts as they don’t come with the bleed kit which you will need when you shorten the hose length. You can get them from HIBIKE in Germany for £195 delivered, will be with you in around 4 days. My reverb post has been flawless so far, would highly recommend it.

rickmeister- you could fit a chain guide like the blackspire stinger if running 2 rings up front and compatible with frame, this will then guard against chain suck or theirs the tomac chain suck guard. I got a yeti asr 5, they used to go at the back but apparently ok now, I don’t worry as theirs a 5 year warranty which will be about aslong as I own it. All materials will fail at some point it just seems that either Ti or carbon are talked a lot more.

He would say that its his own frame so to get more money, If he had said it was a frame he got really cheap because it was a warranty job would you have paid so much for it or even looked twice at it? (even though its only the paint work and not structural) I wouldn’t worry, soon you will have stones flicking off it as you plough down the trail!

I run the easton carbon haven bars and stem, great combo.

Check his feedback, on the first 2 pages their are many specialised products including about 5 frames maybe more so I wouldn’t worry to much as they all leave positive feed back and its not like he has just appeared on ebay and started selling 1 frame. He probably works in the trade some where/how for specialised.

I got the new x-type silver 4 arm duo’s, sweet cranks and would highly recommend them. An added bonus is the lifetime warranty which is legendary. Just use some loctite 222 on the axle thread when installing them. Best cranks I’ve owned and they won’t be on every other bike which is also nice.

The mounts are extra, you normally get 1 with it but that depends on the package you buy. I only have the basic ne, but this does do 1080 hd video but the best setting for bike vids is the 720 with 60 frames per second. Great little camera which shoots great quality vids.
The GPS version would be good to have so to check the video settings and change them out on the trail as you can’t change the brightness etc with the 2 different settings switch, just the video hd quality. With the GPS model you can do all this via your phone, would be handy as I have got home a few times and where riding through trees the video has been to dark so get no footage but if I set it at home so to get footage in darker areas the contrast is then to bright for shots when out in the open. Hope this helps.

As you know I love 29ers, but I would have to agree with grum that you all seem to have the same level of humour as a 2 year old in the fact that you will flog the death out of 1 thing over and over and over again, but then again I think even a 2 year old would have got insanely bored of hearing this joke by now!

And the Q’s are still excellent trails and much like me (with regards to 29ers) you all slag them off when you probably haven’t rode them or at best followed the magazine rides! but please keep slagging them off and spread the word that they are crap so to keep the trails clear for me to be radsik and gnarly all over! Happy days to you all….

The crest and arch rims are the same external width, just the crests have the new profile of the intermal lip to hold the tyre which gives it a wider internal width by about 1.5mm. The crests are lighter by about 60g but are not as stiff.

Or you van do it properly with a weldtite external (or internal) tubeless repair kit for about £3.
