Go for it and press the button, I have a similar light with same leds and the light and spread produced is amazing also get the endurance battery as these lights can be hungry little beggers! This light will do you hood for years to come, just remember to store batteries in fridge and at half charge as they are not cheap to replace.

Thanks all, you helped me take the plunge so just ordered some of the new tech evo V2 brakes which are even more powerful with the evo lever!

Cheers for all the feedback, nice and positive about these brakes. I’m not going to consider anything other than hope brakes as thats what I like so its really between the M4 or the V2’s and I don’t think the weight will be noticeable, If it is I will bring out the foam grips!

A couple of rinse cycles in the washing machine with no powder, or hose your self down when doing the bike.

A couple of nice Yeti ASR 5 frames on ebay at the mo, this frame/bike is excellent, or you can get good deals for around £1350 frame only from freeflowbikes or full price with a CK headset and bottom bracket. Also a dropper post is well worth the money. I can recommend the Rockshox Reverb from HIBIKE in Germany for £190 delivered.

SKF are very high standard, but wouldn’t bother with ceramic as not much movement in a frame bearing.

re grease the shell threads, put loads on the bottom bracket and frame threads and will probably sort it, also grease the pedal threads. Or wait till the mud and water on your ride works its way in and stops the creaking.

Tech levers with M4 up front and X2 out back, and atleast 183 floating rotors on both.

The red oil is used for the FIT damper, goes in the bladder. I think your brave if you are going to take the FIT damper apart! Otherwise if your just removing to clean the insides of the lowers and stancions you are OK as you normally use 10ml in the left leg and 30ml in the right leg(damper side) as lubrication.

you can in any situation. All the strip does is stop any sharp edges putting a hole in the tube.

I got a RS reverb, my friends took the pi*s out of me for spending £195 (Hibike in Germany inc bleed kit) on a seatpost. They all have one now after watching me using mine and having so much fun amd freedom on the trails. The latest one my friend got has zero play aswell. Worth every penny

No pictures yet, the flood produced is huge and they carry at least 75meters down the trail and then fades out. I normally ride with 2 lights, 1 on the bars and 1 on the helmet but you could easily get away with just the tripplecute on the bars.

I used smudges batteries as slightly lighter and require less care to prolong the life apart from storing in the fridge.

I only do suspension bolts to about 6 Nm max and use loctite 222 to stop coming loose, crank bolts vary if its like my middleburns where the bolt pulls the cranks onto the axle then do them as tight as possible (I even step on the allan key a bit) also use loctite 222 to keep from working loose.

Yep, they should have a number/code on them some where. Just google bearings then the number and your be sorted. SKF are good quality bearings.

I used to use the bonty mud x and didn’t find them very good and their slow, my friend used the specialised storms and they seemed very good and were not slow also price is very good. Diane – my skill set mainly consists of hold on and hope for the best!

I would say ride with whats on your bike and learn to adapt/slide and go with the flow! or the Continental rubber queens in 2.2 black chilli are sweet all year round tyres. Me personally love those sketchy moments when it seems as though its all going wrong! Also just use the brakes less!

CUBE are releasing one this year, price is about £130, also like the look of the Early Rider wooden bikes and the Monty 202 push looks sweet with 2.4″ rubber on 14″ wheels, I think I would try and ride that one myself!!

I was going to suggest a cheap B+B as you should start as you mean to carry on… but realised I got the wrong idea!

I got power cordz, really light and slick shifting and they are non stretch, a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

I would only replace if the internal shell has cracked as this is how they work by cracking to absorb the impact force.

Nothing their gash!! Another road bike design filtering into mtb’s. I think the guff is that its a wider bb shell so makes it stiffer, but also means its more of a pain in the arse to change over your bb and that means more new tools and you can’t run a bb mounted chain device or add bling to your bike with nicely coloured external bb’s. Utter crap imo whats wrong with external or square taper…. nothing.

No pics sorry, but some advice..

I just got some snoseal and applied it to my brooks Ti swift and it properly waterproofs it as the proofide or anything else I have tried dosen’t so its always in a bag! I got the larger jar version from the USA of amazon for about £12 was here with in the week. I can’t recommend this stuff enough.

You could get some cheap motor bike disc brake alarms, work on vibrations so would sound off if someone moved your bike.
