I always found red planet to be a bit of a cliche shop with their coffee maker and dressed in lycra!! The young guy’s were ok. They closed because of old lease was running out and they were being forced to sign a long 10 year lease deal I believe which the owners would not commit to, its also an expensive area to run a shop but you would have thought if they were commited to the sport they would have set up shop some where else so obviously was owned by some suites who just wanted to make money! Big adventure store in Swindon is much much better customer care.

You will need a external tapered headset, Hope do mix and match on their headsets, best option is the Chris king external tapered headset which is about £110 from winstanleys I think.

Ebay seller luckynino sells full titanium 11-36 9 speed cassettes, pricey at around £150 but also very light at around 200g. I had 1 and had no complaints, at first the shifting wasn’t great but improved loads after a few rides.

I spoke to Sram service centre in the week which service the Reverb posts about warranty claims if post bought from Germany and they honour it as warranty is world wide so no issues to be had. All you have to do is send it back via a bike shop as at the moment they don’t have facilities to deal with customers individually. So taking this in mind you can get the reverb from Hibike posted for £190 or from bikecomponents.de for £170, both in Germany. If you pay anymore your a fool. I put electric tape round my cable outer at the bottom clamp on down tube so it clamped onto it tight as found the brake outers not wide enough so they would move through it as you have found.

Ebay, Friend just got some Brand new and boxed talas tapered FIT forks with Kashima coating and 15mm bolt through from Israel for £520 and never got stung on the import tax. Also took less than a week to arrive and they aren’t fakes as had a look inside. Can’t go wrong at that price.

No benefits for kids if the parents are at work all day every day. All they really wish for un-till their teens is time spent with their parents. As adults we get too hooked up on this materialistic world and put to much emphasis on careers and ownership of things or keeping up with the jones’
All these 60-80hr weeks = early grave (and you don’t even have time to enjoy your short lives!!)

I found after a few years the super comp spokes started to snap at the spoke, also wouldn’t rate getting alu nipples they will start to crack after a year of use. When I was getting a wheel build done none of my local shops would recommend or build a wheel with alu nipples, and they are very hard to tweak your wheel at a later date with as so soft. Sapim spokes have a very good fatigue life apparently.

I use the endura thermolite biblongs, really warm but also breath well so don’t over heat. They have options to come with or without pad and are double layered at the knees. Link to them at crc below:

It will be a 240 hub in bontrager shell/wheel. If its all come out you should put it back in order of spring then the 2 star ratchets together (teeth interlocking) then the other spring, slide free hub with cassette back on and push it together with a anti clock wise twist. Their held on by the seal, so is easy to pull apart to clean.

I got a Ti Swift and it broke in fairly quickly, I think a very wet night ride and regular proofide helped speed up the process. I found I had to wrap it in a plastic bag on wet rides to stop it sagging but since I started using Snoseal it holds up much better. Very comfy will always have Brooks saddles from now on and would recommend the use of snoseal very highly.

Hope stuff won’t ever be obsolete as their after sales service is 2nd to none and will have spares for old systems even now. I think its sour grapes!

I know the hope trials rotors fit, so if they did a 160 in these then its happy days. They have their own dedicated floating rotor as the track has to be quite large/deep due to the size of the pistons/pads as they would catch on the normal rotors. Hope probably don’t make a 160 rotor for these as they consider them downhill brakes and at first they only made the 203 rotors for them. You could use any brand rotor with a deep braking surface/track.

Lower weight for mech and chain as will be shorter and most important will be less chain slap as more tension and crisper shifting

    ruscle

Spend the extra, the slick shift basically means its got the ramp pins to help the chain up.

Post mount is what all modern forks use and int standard is the old standard for fork mounts where you have to use washers to get the spacing correct, not a very good description sorry! Liking the love and good vibes everyone..

The easton haven stem is a great stem and has a good system where you tighten top bolts first on the clamp then torque bottom bolts so to even pressure out. Looks nicer than Thomson aswell imo.
