Also ex swimmer! the gut area has plenty of room its the very bottom of the coat is only just big enough (I think its called the hem?) . I did order a medium when the measurements would suggest a large would be better (34″ waist, 44″ chest)

Make sure you set the caliper up properly as per the video. Their is a huge difference in performance when the caliper is aligned properly and the pistons are equal distance away from rotor.

Got my medium and its nice and fitted which is what I wanted as not using on the bike. I understand what other people have said about the cut as the waist is only just big enough and seems to be cut smaller than the rest of the jacket.

Any car engine degreaser is best, I use Gunk with my garden broom, once its all had a good spraying push broom against cassette and turn pedals then hose down. Always comes up like new.

Bought a medium but may require a large for everyone’s reference for future swaps. email in profile but will also post on this thread if I’m too chubby!

Fox talas or floats from Ebay seller based in Israel, I didn’t get stung on import tax as I believe they have a European based warehouse. My Talas cost £500.

I have found this lately with 2 new kmc chains, ended up having to press them together while forcing the link ends with a pair of pliers to get them to slide into place. (if this makes any sense!)

Your words SSS tell me that its good riding as all the folk down at the Quantocks say the same about their! Any route suggestions? The only time I have rode at the Long Mynd was a birthday a few years ago and I did that on my own as no one was game, maybe the same this week!

You could always do the DIY repair with clear nail varnish and ultra fine wet n dry, so by doing the work you should increase the re-sale value.

Munkyboy have you noticed any difference in performance between the 2 forks?

    ruscle

SKF seals are part of the service now as standard and got the FIT upgrade last year which is definitely worth it. Should have just bought new forks for all the money I have chucked at them and the lowers are hung in the garage at the moment waiting for me to finish off respraying them tonight!

I got custom tune at same time and the skf seals will probably make a big difference. Would have liked the choice really as the logo’s on top of stantion are important for braging!

I was thinking maybe 2011 parts as the latest stuff is much darker and has the logo, shame really as got the shock upgrade aswell which is dark brown and has logo on and as we know the most important thing is that all component colours match! Also for £275 I would have liked the latest product ie 2012 stantions.

Yes it will, I bought the 2011 frame earlier in the year, built my mates bike up and the following week sent of my fork and shocks for service and the kashima upgrade!!

    ruscle

My friend also bought the 2011 frame from rutland for their discount price and received the alloy frame with the new rp23 kashima shock so is a 2012 frame, as the 2011 didn’t have the kashima shock. You will also notice that its the adaptive logic shock which is a 2012 model.
