I would certainly stay loyal and go with the five. Fantastic bike with exceptional custermer service. The covert is more expensive in the long run when things go wrong!

Hmm… Most of them paths In the peaks are illegal to cycle on 🙄
I don’t think they know what the law is up north!

Always ride on my own, wouldn’t want to ride with others as puts your concentration off. Also I have my own pace which other have found hard to keep up with.

I couldn’t agree more Herman! I find it disgraceful and tasteless how they ride down them paths without a care in the world! While all along they’re destroying the planet slowly but surely. 🙄

What does gnar mean? I certainly don’t see it being steep! I ride coedybrenin a lot and that’s far steeper! More suitable for a downhill bike maybe.

Yeh, it’s the “talc” mineral because it doesn’t break down, just like asbestos! Not all is bad though, not sure if johnsons is alright to use as it doesn’t say talc…… Or does it??? 😕

Hmm, not so sure about the castrol grease! 😆
The anti monkey butt looks good though Huw, just no scent. 😐
Heard of some powder called balla powder, fits my description perfectly, but they don’t ship to the uk!! 🙁
Maybe just johnsons then. I need some ASAP! As I’m sticking all over the place!!! 😆

Or maybe a zip tie either side of hole to stop it expanding anymore after layers of duck tape on the inside of tyre.

Layers of duck tape, and then maybe stitch up with dental floss. That’s what I’ve done anyway! 😀

If your immune system is down and not picking up even after rest then it could be an immune disorder such as aids.
My advice would be to see a doctor and ask for a blood test to check your white blood cell count.
Good luck and i Hope this helps.

I was surprised at how rocky coedy brennin was! Its supposed to be a “trail” centre NOT a downhill course. Far too dangerous for the average cyclist.
    Fantastic work.

“Natural trails just arent as technical as coedy brennin! “
Eh? I think cyb is heavily armoured and more comfy with suspension. Apart from one or two pieces it’s only a red trail. There are far more tricky segments even on my local hill in Somerset.

I prefer smooth trails with the odd jumps, don’t need as much skill for that as riding anything technical! I was at coedy brennin a few week ago and I can’t imagine anything more technical than that! And those who say trail centres are rubbish can’t have ridden there, surely. Natural trails just arent as technical as coedy brennin! I think I’ll stick to Surrey hills and leave those northern monkeys to ride the hard stuff, they have far more skills than us mere southerners!! 😆

Rupert its all banter i suppose, your mates not like that then?
    POSTED 1 DAY AGO # REPORT-POST

To be honest with you blower, I prefer riding on my own! The sound of silence is far better than listening to a load of louts egging each other on “pointless” tracks. But thanks for the concern in any case.

Just looked at the met parachute, they have the same design as the viper. Anyone had experience of these? I like the look of these helmets, quite downhilly, yet more breathable but are they strong enough I wonder?

What are you going to use it for? All helmets are not created equally.
    POSTED 3 HOURS AGO # REPORT-POST

Sorry, I should have mentioned! I don’t do any serious downhilling, but saying that my riding is definitely progressing and I am now riding more aggressive terrain, I can ride coedy-brennin now a lot faster and harder and so feel the need for a more protective lid.

Casco Viper (light full face with removable chin guard, very comfy)NOT ME IN PIC BTW
Urge O Matc (I look like a CHiPs rider in it and its comfy but can get hot) NOT ME IN PIC BTW
Giro summit or other (bog standard XC lid)

Thanks coolhandluke, I like the idea of this helmet protecting your chin aswell and it looks pretty cool too. Do you know who sell these and if there’s any deals on them anywhere? Cheers all.

As for related to Steve Peat, hmm dunno bout that?

Yes, you’ve just answered my question there blower!
Well I don’t think your the kind of “friends” I’d choose, although I do for some strange reason enjoy watching you all! 😯

What an utter foolish thing to do! This is cruel to the dog as well as putting the safety of walkers and fellow cyclists at jeopardy! 🙄 please do NOT do it.

Ergons! Yes, absolutely! I have some on my five with bar ends and they’re absolutely wonderful! Amazing grips that have changed my riding experience vastly. Highly recommended and they are actually better for your wrists.

Yes I’v moved back down to surrey, and I have a five.
That’s the only good thing about northerners, apart from that they’re all bloody brainless lager drinking idiots! 🙄

Hmmm, getting better, definitely enjoyed it more than your last one, and I didn’t have it on mute! Is the man next to Steve peat his brother? Definitely has some features in common! 😆
Still don’t understand why someone is laughing at one rider getting a nasty buckled wheel at 2:12, Is that banter? 🙄

Thanks again mr Flynn and jedi, I’m fairly new to (technical) mountain biking and the last place I rode was coady-brenin. Dont think I’ve ever rode anything as tech as that before! Even my friend struggled and he’s been mountain biking all his life! And a very good rider too! Far too rocky for my liking, but that video of flows didn’t look that tech tbh! Think I will take my body armour just incase! 😆 thanks again. Is there any descent cafes near by?

I bought an orange 5 a few week ago, it came with 100mm standard forks, I think 😕

Thanks Dflynn, yes I’ve heard spooky woods is an amazing downhill. Me and some mates are off up in a few week, hopefully there’ll be no snow! Would you recommend body armour for up there? I’ve heard it’s extremely technical in places to ride! 😮

Alan Pollock is a revolting fat bully and I’m pleased to hear that he faces charges for assault.
I believe he makes his living as a banker (although I expect you’ll hear his occupation described as ‘risk analyst’ or something similar).
The bloke is an all round scumbag and I wouldnt mind betting its not the first time hes done something like that. Probably hits his mrs too, and kicks the cat. Fat slob.
    POSTED 1 HOUR AGO # REPORT-POST

    I totally agree with this!!
The fat bully was showing off! He obviously thinks he’s powerfull being a banker, I bet he does throw his wieght around at home, he’s just lucky the lad didn’t swing for him! Would have shocked him, with the lad being a lot smaller.
If this was to be allowed then all fat bully’s would do it wouldn’t they!?
And at the end of the day all the lad did was fare dodge!! Not a major crime now really is it!!? 😕

Flow, is that in spooky woods? Looks terrific, although I’m not sure about your riding style, you look rather scared on a bike! Maybe loosen up a bit! But your not that bad I suppose.

He should have given him the three choices
    pay
the yoof is heard on the video quite loudly saying he has no money
    get off
thats the option the conductor offered him
or be met by BTP at the next stop.
we dont know if this was mentioned, but not a likely ending to scenario for reasons discussed at length above.
try to familiarise yourself with the sources before posting.

I think big man did this for his own selfish “NEEDS” he is a bully for this, yes the boy was stupid talking to him like that, but it wasn’t for him to get up and show his masculine side now was it? And NZCOl, you sound like an idiot! Obviously the boy was in the wrong, but it could have been dealt with correctly by the police, at the station! And it would have too! Do you think big man would have “shown off” if the train dodger had been bigger than him? Hmmm, I had a stepfather like him who use to like throwing his weight around! Not a nice person, let me tell you.
