2 kids, one nearly 22 other 18. Shower gets hammered every night.

Got a decent Manrose extractor that does it’s best but it’s a losing battle. I also have a good dehumidifier with a Tapo smart socket that’s on a timer, or I just flick it on from my phone. Not ideal but works.

£580 for 2 diesels on separate policies as it was cheaper this year on Churchill (allows us both to drive Both cars).  Our motors are around 10 years old, one is a 2 litre the other 1.6. We are now in our 50’s not had a claim for years and years.
Son paid £3.5k for his first year of driving for a 15 plate focus. He’s 21 and didn’t want one of those boxes fitted. I know the younger generation are considered more at risk but they’re all taking the piss. But what can you do?

I’d consider an Edge Explore 2. Decent sized screen if your eyes are getting on a bit. Map and navigation work great, custom riding profiles. Don’t bother with the the earlier released Explore v1 as it suffers with a software bug in power save mode / screen timeout lag not wanting to come back when touched. Unfortunately Garmin never sorted it, but offered replacement units or discounted explore 2, whichever day you reported it with them. I’ve owned both and the v2 is a vast improvement.

My lads just paid £3k, fully comp with a £350 excess on his 15 plate 1 litre focus. He’s nearly 21. Just passed his test the other week on his 4th attempt. He didn’t want a black box or app.

    My Mrs did shop around.

Can’t speak for the topstone but owned a lefty Slate for 6 years. It was brilliant with the 30mm travel. Opened up a world of options over a rigid fork and you can pretty much bung what you like width wise up front. I ran a 50c width tyre on the front and a 38 on the back. Only ever had to run the £12 RSP service oil kit through the fork a few times. Tough as old boots! Future classics.

Muc Offs absolute gash. Great that it doesn’t smell like a bum hole pub urinal but the cost is you’ll never remove it from a frame if left to dry!

Canyon Grizl CF SL 7 eTap. Dependant on your size stock available in May.

No I don’t own one but my brother does and it’s absolutely brilliant to ride. Their service has been exemplary too.

Even came with a Canyon bag for your tools and and a frame protection kit for the mounting areas. Nice touches. Paint job has upped its game too since my old Ultimate AL road bike years ago.

Unfortunately we still use Direct Access where I work. It was 20 mins logging in today!

Absolute sh1te customer service from Virgin. Local postcode checker reporting issues with on demand 🤣. Yet they still have the audacity to increase their monthly charge.

Have a look at the Vodafone smart tracker. Quite small and only £3 a month. I used one for two years for my dogs. It’s ok for its purpose for Pets. They do a specific pet one so it clips via a collar type jobbie.

Obviously ensure you are ok for a Vodafone signal.

Blink here too. Received as a gift. It does record to the sync box via USB, but only after the free trial has finished or you’ve ended it. Why? cos it’s Amazon and they want the cloud revenue. So as a result and from what I’ve read you’ve got to dick about deleting the sync box and re-adding it back in order for it to force to USB recording. I’ve read you then get recordings but no thumbnail view. No biggie though. My trial is still running so I’m waiting for it to end, but they do seem better than the Ring where you’re tied in to a sub if you need recordings.

I also bought a new second gen echo dot from eBay for £13 (which I permanently mute) this handles the chime in the house. Shame an internal chime device isn’t supplied. Those Eufy doorbells look great and their cameras are excellent.

Was looking at these. They look good, but nobody seems to be stocking them yet in the UK that I can see. Direct only from Ass Savers.

    Anybody tried one?

Just tried Ogden’s link for the cycle.travel URL

    Thankyou!

What a find. Used it yesterday on a 62 mile gravel ride. If anyone’s into staying off the roads for the most part it’s absolutely brilliant.

I owned an Enigma HSS Steel last year. It was lovely but sold it on as the close passes from drivers was becoming too much. Lovely bike though, bit not as nice to ride as my old Van Nic!
