My new bike came with the same incorrect setup, thanks to this thread I checked and corrected.

I’ve got the diverge elite, had it since November.

Not ridden anything since as its so much fun. Capable on the weekend roadie run and great on the bridletracks round here. Mines completely stock and the tiagra feels better than my 5600 105 groupset.

Back end is very comfortable but stiff for pedalling at the same time – not sure how.

Will also use in the summer for c2c tour / bivvies with a rack and take to France on family holiday to tour the vendee.

    Recommended. Any questions just ask.

Love my diverge smartweld (2016), so comfortable and more than capable on roadie rides with the benefit of canal / bridletrack and touring options.

Not up to speed with the scs but think there are more options now and it shifts so will (despite being tiagra) which I think is the purpose of the design.

    Can’t recommend one enough.

I’m very lucky that a local roaster is around the corner and has an amazing selection.

You guys are lucky that you can order online:

I don’t think the stamp duty has to be paid immediately on completion so you may be ok with a top up for stamp duty later.

As above – call your solicitor as you don’t want it delaying the process.

    Good luck.

    I just bought 10 4 watt LAP from screwfix (£28) and 10 LED 5 watt GU10 from Wickes (£30).

LAP are good but tight cluster in the bulb although 38 degree spread is the same as wickes.

Prefer the wickes ones if I’m honest as the diffuser looks better and higher wattage.

    Both good though.

Have a good one, since I last saw you I’ve had some screws put in my finger to straighten it up, hopefully be back out again in May….

If anyone wants to check their lines out here’s Liam Phillips showing us how to do it:

I’d echo looking at another aspect of accounting. I got to the stage that audit felt unrewarding due to the lack of output/creation. Moved into corporate finance and then into industry, both of which are very rewarding from an output point of view.

Hours are notoriously bad at the big 4 but can open many doors.

Another vote for deadwood. Can’t believe it’s not as well know. Really good characters and story line – great from off.

Killing and spiral are also ace.

Finger is a little sore this morning with black bruising snaking up my hand.

Have a cracking picture of the x ray (confirmed spiral fracture) and sideways finger but wouldn’t know where to start to upload and get it here. Could send it to the BMX email crowd but don’t want to spam you all.

Dr Dazh – should have taken your advice, all they did was try to straighten it (didn’t work) and then tape it to my other fingers. Praying it will straighten over the next few weeks…

The ride down was interesting, particularly the water bars and a kind fellow did offer a suspended bike, but thought better the devil I know.

Thanks for the thoughts, likely off the bike for 4-6 weeks so when I return it will be to warm, light evenings with dusty trails and open pubs.

Late edit – if you ever come off and your hand starts swelling, take off any rings.

    Great ride and new trails.

Thanks for those that nursed me down. Just has an x ray and initial verdict is spiral fracture (sounds ace).

Just sat waiting for official verdict and hopefully some manipulation so that I can wear gloves again.

Forgot how normal most folk are until you sit in a+e at midnight.

Baekdu in Manchester is good. Love the earthenware pot rice dishes. Not sure if it is authentic but great range of tasty food. One of my new favourites.

Can recommend the frog bikes. Bought my daughter one earlier in the year and it is fantastic.

We stayed at Tour last year (near Le Mans) at an Accor hotel – plenty of people left bikes on the back of the cars locked to the carrier. This was in a fenced off car park but seems to be a realively safe area.

    Deffo Bewilderwood.

Crabbing and then Fish and chips at Wells next to sea – beach over the sand dunes is also nice for a visit.

Depending on weather you could hire a small motor boat on the broads – good fun and plenty of pubs about.

Stayed in the B&B hear a long time ago and noticed that they were converting the barn with a hot tub. Bit remote but maybe worth looking at:

You can buy something that looks like a squash ball which you push on the back and twist. Might be able to use a squash ball.

I have used it a couple of times and like the accessibility of it however, realised that the main reason I like the magazine is for the pictures supporting the articles(not sure what that says about me).

    Alpkit gamma something or other.

Got one for Chrimbo – excellent bit of kit and only £12.50.

Oh just noticed the pub bit – it also has a red led at the back (knightrider flat style) to stop you getting run over from behind on the way back.

A group of five of us did it.

Had a great day out, didn’t break any time records but happy to get round and enjoyed the blue skies.

Was muddy underfoot and I killed my rear brake half way round so those slabby decents covered in mud were interesting. Rest of the bike was okay however, 1.5inch rear tyre and single speed saw the day out. Mudguards for the win.

Will do it again next year and would recommend to others.
