I got an X3 couple of years ago from TF Tuned after riding a mates X2, I rode the X2 and straight away new it was a hooligan. TF put some 140 pikes on for me so it’s a bit twitchy on the ascents but a real ripper on the downs. I have a few bikes but this in 29’er is my go to bike for most trails and I like the fact that I’ve got lifetime warranty on it so I do thrash it

I’ve got a stooge ti and love it, but just bought a vendetta x3 which is very similar geometry just a bit more rowdy and going to use that for mainly the big downs

Do the CL both inner and outer, I’ve got maps a gpx somewhere if you need. We had a fantastic 4 days trip few years ago but the weather did help. There is loads of Singletrack and double, scenery is outstanding especially Feshie and Bramaer Estate.

Some of the wild camps we had where amazing but pick your months carefully, or you’ll get eaten alive

I use something called Xerox never tear it’s a digital laser sheet that does as it says, I mainly use for printing waterproof maps or those race numbers for running clubs or bike events as it comes in various thicknesses

I had NN 3.0 on my stooge they were great till I tried High Roller 3.0… much much better not had a single slimy slide on roots or goey mud yet running at 14psi seems to be the sweet spot 40mm rims

I used a lathe I’ve got, to take the edge of the socket down so it’ll fit into the fork, offer still stands if you need help or a borrow of the lathe (the lathe is homemade also and lethal!!!!) 😂

    Thanks Jeff

And that’s why it didn’t work on my SD card, I ended up using the VW one installed and worked fine, they must have the SD programmed up for the chip (clever)

There’s a few forums you’ll find the update on, I got the traffic camera bleep app thingy last time I searched, downloaded it onto the SD card and works a treat – try the VW T5/T6 forum

Manitou honestly best fork around, easy to service, parts are cheap and the difference is mega – I have both bluto and manitou pro, and manitou are much much better

Bought a set off here (Magnum Pro) few weeks ago, gave them a service with some homemade tools and WOW proper good.

Was always wary (second hand) but had heard some good reports on Manitou so wanted to try!!!

They are real plush love them

I had an ear infection about 12 months ago after getting flu, and the infection never went with antibiotics – anyhow doctor says I have labyrinthinus, had it for about 8 months and it is bloody awful, balance is sometimes very tricky but the worst thing is when I lay down and put my head on the floor I nearly black out with dizziness so have to prop it up on a few pillows. First new something wasn’t right when I went to supermarket to get a tin of soup from bottom shelf and fell over and blacked out. Doctors said it can take a few years to fully go 😢

I know how your feeling, a few years ago with money issues and a child on the way everything just got to much, didn’t really feel it was bad enough to go to the GP’s but went and he referred me to a counsellor, had a few sessions and started to feel much better after talking to someone professional – she gave me some great ideas. I’ve ditched the caffeine, cycle in a club once a week which is great as it makes me get out and ride as there a pushy group and won’t take a no, passed all my finances over to my wife to worry about, my wages go into a joint account and she gives me an allowance every month (it really works!!!) if she says we need to redecorate that’s fine I’m happy to do but she is in charge of all finances.

I really hope you get through this it is absolutely horrible, and to be honest I always worry that it will come back, but try to keep my mind active. Get to the GP’s talk to a professional 👍

I bought a MK2 out of curiosity, bloody loved it so much I ended up a year later asking stooge to build me one in ti and that is an absolute dream machine.

I use it for everything trail centres/bikepacking/going out on family bike rides etc… thinking of moving on all the other bikes I have to just have the one, enjoy your mk4 🤩

No Towbars, but may of found a few solutions

    1) splitting train into a few as transpennine will only allow 2 bikes on, so we would need to catch 3 there and 3 back, not ideal but workable

    2) we take a few cars and park them somewhere safe in Glasgow, just means we have to drive there and then back after a big ride not ideal but may have a night in Glasgow after the ride to rehydrate 😜

    3) hire a big van probably enterprise and someone does the drive and dumps it at the depot in Glasgow whilst we get the train up in first class of course and get plastered 🥴 🍺 🍺 🍺
