Wow I feel like I haven’t lived! In ten years I have had:-

    RVF 400 (written off)
    Gsxr 600
    NC30

Then had kids and my wife lost her job, so instead of buying new bikes I have spent a fortune on the NC30. So when money got tight I can always claim it was a cheap bike so not worth selling!

Hello to Kayla1 from a fellow 400gb member, I got a bolt and nut selection from you guys, very impressed!

Thoroughly enjoyed that, felt so sorry for Belarus! That was hitting the wall big time (or racing ill!)

Good work! Keep it up and if you do have a lapse remember that’s not a failure! It’s a lapse. Good luck with it!

Sennheiser HD 380 pro. They are about £80 if you shop around and I got a pair after it seemed like almost every sound engineer we worked with, across all music genres, used them as their touring headphones.

Not the most attractive set of headphones but great sound for the money and a solid build.

One for Environmental Health that, possible statutory nuisance. It won’t be top of their priority list but they have a duty to investigate so don’t expect someone round straight away, but don’t let them fob you off.

Ok tried not to bite but had a few drinks and now can’t resist it. Put you feet stance width apart, do 20 squats, if your feet are still 0/0 then feel free to ride 0/0. Nearly everyone else will be duck, so that’s why we ride duck!

I have been fortunate enough to get to a reasonable level (BASI 2), my brother is ISIA and I have been lucky enough to be triained by some of the best trainers in Britain (Ash Newnes and Ben Kinner) they all ride duck, I have seen Ben rip it with no highbacks but I wouldn’t recommend that for the average rider!

To the OP custom footbeds will help, the right boots are key! Good bindings that major on comfort will also help, lessons from a good instructor will definitely help with the foot pain as well as improving your technique and that will most importantly allow you to have more fun!

I have very flat feet and still from time to time get severe foot pain despite everything, it’s just one of those things, take it as an excuse to have a break then come back and hit it hard again.

Physio recommended Ecco shoes, have been wearing them for a few year and would thoroughly recommend them. Felt a bit odd at first but now wouldn’t be without them.

I also use Sorbathane Double Strike insoles in my boots as I can be on my feet all day and again they help with comfort.

Probably 30% of the professional sound engineers I work with use these as their out and about field headphones.

I have got a pair and they are very good for a sub £100 headphone.

As has already been said you will drop it at some point, probably on the drive or in the garage and at the worst possible time, when everyone is watching! When that happens you will die a little inside but it’s a right of passage!

I have gone back to smaller bikes, currently have a 26 year old nc30, I don’t have the self control for a big bike and need my licence, and I can have lots of fun on that without getting into too much trouble. With brakes and suspension sorted it’s a brilliant handling fun bike. The thought that things seem to be hearding towards smaller lighter sports bikes again is a very positive alternative to the 600/1000 only sports bike choice.

If you have the self control then go for it, they are nice bikes and I have friends who got straight onto 600’s and have had no problems at all. However you do need to be honest with yourself and if you do not have the control to take it easy and improve your skills on it then there are better alternatives, I would be looking at the KTM 390’s.

Lots of good stuff already said, I was diagnosed aged 19, yes it can be very frustrating and school was hell, teachers ripping work up because it wasn’t neat enough etc.

Learned coping strategies and extra time in exams at uni and the fact that everything is typed now anyway means I managed uni twice.

I genuinely think that it taught me to think laterally and while short term memory and peoples names etc are atrocious I have a fantastic memory for useless facts which is important in my line of work.

Coordination is a issue but sheer stubbornness has allowed me to get ok at lots of sports needing good balance. It just takes me longer than most people and have had many many trips to A&E.

There are many worse things he could have, it just means he will need support.

I went out for my first ride with my Luxos last night. I completely agree with PeterPoddy, the light is very good. It takes women string used to after an MTB light as ther is no spot to it, it just lights the road for quite a way in front of you. There was quite a lot of moving the light up and down to get the right spread up the road, but once sorted it lights the rlad up ahead enough to see by in a very uniform way.

    Overall very impressed with it.

Gutted for him, nearly 2,500 miles up and to be taken out by someone else must be the worst way for it to end.

Kelvin Hopkins is my MP, I don’t agree with his stance on a lot of issues, but to be fair both the Luton MP’s seem to be in it for genuinely the right reasons.

I was looking at the iq2 Luxos U. It seems the secula will work with it.

Are there any decent non rack mounted rear lights for the Luxos?

I have just had mine done, a sligty odd experience, they had to stop twice to redo the anasthetic which wasn’t ideal, however it was still genuinely far less painful then any physio session I have had!

Currently lying on the bed eating biltong with a bag of peas on my sack!

Looking forward to a couple of days off relaxing and hopefully won’t bruise too much

Vittoria Open Pave, designed for the cobbled classics, very supple tyre and impressively resistant to Flint. Only more puncture resist any tyre I have used are schwalbe durano pluses, which I have never punctured but gave up on as they feel like riding on a steel tyre.

I went to the pub last night, got home and saw the e-mail and immediately ordered one.

I have no idea why as I have a very nice North Face tent, which is also orange, so maybe I thought I could have a matching set.

I wait to see what it’s like whn it turns up, but looking at it again this morning, it looks a reasonable bit of kit for the money.

Try them first for a bit if you can, I got a pair and they gave me really bad headaches. Apparently it’s not uncommon with polarised lenses.

Yep I can’t wait, I missed all the tour this year so it’s my only cycling spectating this year.

I am fascinated to see how they are going to make a World Cup course out of a dull MK park, but mostly oink g forward to the whole cross experience.

Tickets were cheaper then I expected as well

    Winter!

Having spent every holiday snowboarding from the age of 17 to 31 I haven’t been for 4 years.

Busy day job, wife loosing hers, getting own business off the ground and doing a masters degree whilst having two small kids has meant that holidays have had to be put on hold.

However we are now both working and the masters thesis was handed in today. So I treated myself to a new snowboard and have permission to go away this winter.

I am sitting looking at it now and can’t wait!
