But even driving down the road at the speed limit or sitting at the traffic lights is fun in it just due to the looks and intrest people give.

But if your not into the engineering behind these things and see cars as the devil you will never understand these things. Just like the average driver will never unders and your love for riding a bike.

When we take it out on the track its stored at.

a 5.7lt flat top v8 sitting in a car that, with out the engine can pretty much be lifted on to ramps by one person. kicking out 488bhp (rolling road) just sitting in it with it running is fun.Never mind hitting a corrner at 140mph.

The point is that a car isn’t a toy, a bike is. If you think a car is a toy then you’re part of the problem

I have a car that is a toy.

One definition of a toy, An object, esp. a gadget or machine, regarded as providing amusement for an adult.

my self and my dad have a hot rod with a flat top v8 in it, It is a car, however is not used for domestic purposes it stored about 300 miles from where i live and doesnt get out too much.

But i assure you its great fun,and deffinatly a toy.

Anyone who thinks a car cannot be a toy is a muppet.

Two different races two different tour’s.

I dislike froom as i find him utterly boaring except today.

However everyone keeps saying wiggins’ couldn’t have done it without froom, but could froom have done what he did today with out Porte.

Im more impressed with porte and garaint than anyone else on the sky team. and though that quintana climbing look so much more natural than frooms.

If i honest i Don’t know much about them I just did as I was told by my mum who used to sell Insurance through her work place.

I’m just worried about what will happen if i’m involved in an accident and non of my Incurance covers it.

For £28 the ride seems like a no brainer. But if there is better options out there then game on.

I@m not a home owner or tenent at the min.

And I already have insurance for nearly everything else.but commuting by bike as this was going to up my premium to more than the likes of the BTC ride option.

I Booked an appointment the closest i could get was in 7 days time.

That 7 days finally came up, I arrived 15 mins early as I like to be on time (this is the norm for me in any situation) I then proceeded to wait till 10 past 10 (my appointment time)then 10 past 11, then i asked the receptionist what was going on. I then waited another 45 mins for my appointment.

so i was an hour 45 mins late in to my appointment, no apologies. about 2 mins later i left my appointment.

Now if i was an hour 45 mins late to any GP surgery I’d loose my appointment, what makes the GP’s think this is acceptable.

The companies that deal with high end cars and performance vehcles take into account that you are probably going to take better care of a Ferrari than a fiesta. My brother has just insured a fully modified Impreza (I know not a super car) phase 3 tuned, 480bhp. for £340 hes 29, 6 points and 3 claims against him. hats fully comp, with £500 excess.

My 1.6tdci focus costs me £420 fully comp, £200 excess. 7 years no claims. clean license.

The other thing is you may have unlimited milage but even as a premiership footballer that can affored to drive one as an every day car how many miles do they end up doing?

This Is exactly why house prices go up and up and up. and it Is making it unrealistic for first time young buyers to buy houses. The asking price is as high as anyone should go End of story. First come, first serve basis.

I work in aldi on avarage it takes around 30 seconds to get served at the till, if you cant ask someone to wait for 30 seconds on the phone or wait till you have finished on your phone before coming to my till, you’ll have a much bigger wait for your shopping,i will walk off, and return when you have the common decency to treat me with respect, yes my job may not seem important to you but you’d all be screwed if we just sacked you off and stayed closed.

Its come on decency and I will judge you as a absolute Piss bucket **** if you cant give someone serving you a little bit of respect.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, both are at fault.

It is on both parties to make sure you see each other and make your selfs visable.

I used to work in a bike shop and loved it, the customers i hated but smiled and was nice and friendly because that’s what you do.

I repaired shitty pram wheels and sold rediculous bikes that wouldn’t get used for there intent.

I since have not been into a bike shop other than to pick up a specific part, (no bull crap no chit chat) I am sick of going into them and feeling looked down on and patronized.

I’m yet to find a freindly bike shop that i can go into brows look at the shiney stuff and then walk out of having bought a low end bit of kit or something that’s not in there eyes the right bit, with out getting a weird look.

Buy something anything, keep the receipt, but do not give her it if she is happy you can then return the item for a full refund under the 28 days trading laws.

However do not expect for this to go well make sure that back up plan of having something i good.

MY back up plan was a day paragliding, something she would never have expected.she felt bad and gave me lots of brownie points and coupons for doing what i want as an apology.

I have found that something different is defiantly the way forward from an item, as an experiance can’t be turned down and you can’t know if there going to like it or not, a item of jewelry clothing or perfume is like walking on egg shells over a fiery pit of doom, covered in spikes and broken glass all doused in a helping of tetness on the way down.

boiling hot water puddle on top of it will warm the wax up and draw it to the surface of the water, then paper towel to soak up.

with it being a flat surface its hard to get the water right using its won surface tension.

Checkyour oil level first and work form there. top u/ change but if your changing it you might as well change the oil filter too. Might help

as of oil weights go with what ever was in it origanaly, some are advised for different makes of car/van but at that age it probably wouldn’t matter to much.

Don’t be expecting wonders though. when was your timing belt changed last. Might need doing or tightning up.

(home mechanic too, but worked inside engins on plenty of stuff.

Yes so much so that he stood at the side of the road crying “I’m going to jail” Clearly killing someone was at the forefront of his mind.

I know nothing about this as of just reading the article. Do you know that for fact or are you just Jumping on the cyclists against the world.

I’m not deffending him Im mearly saying there may be more to the case than the press tell us. yes he may have been rubber necking at a lorry and killed some one and he may well have been able to see the rider for 9 seconds. But i bet you have all taken your eye of the road for a brief second and narrowly avoided an accident that could be major or minor.

I will remind you all again he has owned up and even admitting to looking the other way, I would put money on the majority of people not doing this.

Am i the only one that thinks this is a great tragedy. And a waste of a well lived life.

However the Driver has taken responsibility for his carelessness and owned up.

The judge has made the sentence call not him, But he is the one that is going to have to live with this on his conscious (which he obviously has, other wise he wouldn’t admit it) for the rest of his life. Surely this could bee seen as a sentence its self.

Im going to go the other way I’ve had 3 On one frames, service has always been impeccable, answered emails quickley, never needed to phone them as a quick nip to the shop and a even quicker one now to there new shop seemed to sort anything.

We do so well to not name and shame LBS that rip people off, but a company that deals with thousands of orders at great budget prices for the good quality stuff (the majority of the time) gets slated every chance they get.

There kit is cheap, there mark up wont be any better than anyone else’s in fact probably slightly worse, they are going to have to save money somewhere,

Scapegoat, you’ve obviously not had any wheels built by try-cycles. There mainly a road/touring shop but will do anything for there customers.

I had a set of wheels built by them before i learnt to do it my self, hope bulbs on 321’s, they were used for 6 years in the alps for 2 weeks every summer, then allover north England and Scotland on the dh bike then a all mountain bike then they were sold on as true as the day they were made with only ever having to replace 1 spoke. and I’m no light weight.

I do agree with nearly every other shop though.

when working as a mechanic we charged £20 per wheel if parts bought from us but we’d charge trade on the spokes. if parts wern’t bought from us (except spokes, £20 rrp spokes) if nothing bought from us £30pw
