will never buy from an arnold clark every sales man ive met was pushy arrogant and annoying.
Went to test drive a mazda sport got in unwound the windows and started it up, all good, he then spent the whole test drive trying to wind the windows up and turning up the stereo telling me “its bose you know”
The car its self was nice and relisticly priced with everything i wanted at the time. Buy I walked away because of him.
i just baught an Audi from an intendant garage. me I hadn’t gone to look at it. actully went to look at another car,the man running it let test drive it and do what i wanted he just sat there in silence when i got back he didn’t try and push anything or sell the car, i phoned him 2 days later said have you still got it, ill be accross in 15 mins.
RscottFree MemberI was part way through donating, when I got called away and never went back to it i just added £5 to your total, what a great thing to do.
RscottFree MemberChakaping if your interested there in the classified for alot less than that as of now.
RscottFree MemberIm not bothered about it being too cheep i just hate people thinking your taking the mic and then getting put of buying when you reduce the price thinking your a chancer.
RscottFree MemberNo
Yes
YesSuperficial, Dependshow clean you are bellow and how sweaty you get. Most would say yes but i think youd get away with everysecond ride,if your through and not to sweaty
RscottFree MemberI had my own screwdrivers and allen keys as there never there when you need them, but that was buy choice, the shop supplied the rest.
RscottFree Member10 years then I wasn’t bothered about upgrading anything as it just worked. Then I had shoulder surgery and it was irritating so had to start over.
RscottFree MemberI spent a week off after a working holiday DJing in greece, I came back and recovered from dodgy stomach, to be asked to DJ at an outdoor rave.
I was still suffering a little but thought I was through the worst of it having managed to pass solids for a day and not have to speak to what had become my very good friends hughie and rolf for a few days.
Half way through my set i got a gurgling sensation you all know the one, I precariously passed wind, but it just got worse. I soon retreated to the safety of tic infested ferns and let rip, I sacrificed a sock and headed back, as i stood up from my squat I noticed a couple staring at me just 5 meters away looking horrified. Needless to say i retreated back to the dj booth put on my head phones and ignored anyone till i could head home.
RscottFree MemberTon if you’ve got one of these for a couple of pence I’ll buy it and even pay postage, and send you a beer.
RscottFree Membersome of it made me cringe, having almost drowned kayaking, there were a few moments that made me hold my breath.
Kayaking and falling of water falls is great fun but you have to trust your friends when it comes to big powerfull stuff.
On the boat front The gt max willbe sufficeint for the majority of uk paddlers the btwo is a little more specalised but will a great boat to pogress on to big water.
RscottFree MemberGot up slapped some factor 30 on as I’m ginger, proceeded to mow the lawn. Went back on put some more f30 on went for a ride. To hot for a fatty like me so went home put some more f30 on had bbq and now suffering. I reapplied suncream every hour and I still look like lobster. I’m now 100% against the sun and phrases from mates such as sun’s out guns out.
RscottFree Memberjust a bit stupid phone user, We spet many long weekends in Brugge, this time of year there is the klinkers music festival, and its not to far from the menin Gates at yepres, its a easy hour drive from calais.
http://www.bonifacius.be/engels/evenementen.htm here’s a list of events, and a good old fashion race up the belfry is always in order.
RscottFree MemberBruce is about an hour away an amazing place, with yepres and the meningitis gates not to far we’ve spent many a long weekend there
RscottFree MemberSome Youths in our youth group managed to melt a trangia pan on the meths burner, anything is possible but as long as you don’t let it boil dry it’ll be fine.
RscottFree MemberOne of my good Friends (female) developed Alopecia 3 years ago at 23.
To this day she has never grown any hair(that we know of) she has now gotused to it and so have we. but meeting new peopleis always intresting as they react in very different ways.
She tried the acrylic wigs and suffered with heat rash on her head and sayed they were uncomfertable and resorted to wearing a hat of just shoing of her perfectly smooth dome. She has a wig now that is made of real hair in the same syle her hair was, the only thing you can notice is she has no eye lash’s, and her eye brows are drawn on but with alot of younger women opting for HD brows (or what ever there called pretend i don’t know) this really isn’t noticeable. She has been a freind for a long time and seeing how she coped was hard, she was destraught and upset for months before coming to terms with it, even with massive support from her friend and family, and has in my eyes become a even more attractive woman for it.
She does alot of fundraising for alopecia UK, who have helped her alot along the way. I wouldn’t want any one to suffer from this but we allmake jokes at my expense as im receding and balding, that her hair might grow back but mines just going get worse.
RscottFree MemberEnded up getting shoulder surgery the day i was offered a promotion at work, 10 weeks later and Im still off work and got another 6 weeks to go.
RscottFree MemberId be looking for £500- £600 if the hulls in good shape, Smooth no webbed fiber glass showing. Get some t cut and polish it up, and see how it looks.
I paddle a beaten up nigel dennis explorers and have paddled allover the west coast of Scotland and Wales, and have been kayaking for 16 years. the great thing about fibre glass boats is they hold value quite well. try selling it on ukriversguidebook.co.uk it can be slow but there an honest community.
RscottFree Memberwhat cockpit has it got I suspect it will be an ocean deck (small round), if it was keyhole long and egg shapped it would deffinatly add value, but if its good condition with the ocean deck id be asking £500, key hole £600.
RscottFree Member£450 – £600 Seems to be the right ball park depending on condition, wheres it been stored outside or inside. will also effect it, its a shame about the age of these as thats what lets them down but excelent boats really.
RscottFree MemberThe only thing i carry in my pockets are snacks, money and my phone. I have a medium topeak saddle back that carries 2 spare tubes, tyre leavers multi tool 2 co2 cartridges and a mini pump that can be used with the cartridges. the co2 gets a road tyre up and seated then i finis the pressure off by hand
RscottFree Memberthink every time you go to eat a cake (i presume all cakes are home made) that small children may have been helping, thus meaning all sorts of baggies and dirt are probably in it.
RscottFree MemberI’ve never been a 100 miler a day kind of guy but hoping on getting back to 50miles, in 3/4 hours (peaks and yorkshire riding if it makes any differance) by the end of summer, but that seems a long way off, Pushed it a little harder than I Normaly would today as I was a little excited.
RscottFree MemberMy brother runs a 2007 2.5wrx its a money pit servicing is pretty standard. but tyres are worn out pretty quick in comparason to his earlier t5 and vrs, and he keeps getting the urge to get more power from it (which wasn’t his intention.)
He upgraded the exhaust system the cooling system, the inter cool has been upgraded, the turbo and clutch upgraded all before his remap.not to mention the stiffer suspension and the upgraded brakes to cope with the power out put. the rolling road had it sat at 337bhp the other day and he still wants to do more.
If you can stay away from the upgrade mentality that a lot of people get once they own one then they are a feasible fast and fun car,(unlike the evo’s)
RscottFree MemberDoes nobody go to the cinema to see some mindless rubbish and turn off for a few hours.
RscottFree MemberI think you went over the top why not explain to him the value of a good quality snack, and explain next time ask.
How ever in my house it was my job to do the small shop runs, it was a mile each way. but we had an open fridge rule, anything could be eaten as long as we ate our dinner. (obviously within reason)
Im fully in the oppinion of brining your kids upright, but going off it over a packet of crisp when you could have just had a civilised word.
RscottFree MemberIll have a 16inch inbred frame for sale soon, will have a race face dues head set, front mech and hope seat clamp. can even throw in a womans saddle.
but need to strip it down first and give it a check over.It will be under your £100 by a fair bit
let me know of you’d be intrested
RscottFree MemberDont let them control the sale, I put a deposit on a car to hold it for 48 hrs, he phoned me 8hrs later saying that someone offered him screen price in cash. I said SO I have it on hold for 48 hours, only because thats when I could collect it.
he then tried to get me to pay for it there and then without seeing it, I said no ill be in like we agreed when we agreed. he kept pushing so I said ok sell it but refund me my deposit now, so he did. he still has the car now and has phoned me several times trying to get me to buy it.
RscottFree Membera few years back I ended up in court for driving without due care and attention, I had stopped in a yellow checked box in a traffic jam and ended up blocking a fire engine.
The court offered me 6 points and £160 fine, or £100 road awareness course, I obviously chose the course which I learnt a lot from but still got 3 penalties points.
If you feel he was genuinely remorsfull then send him on the course. if i had taken 6 points and my bigger fine id wouldn’t have learnt anything
RscottFree MemberDont know but jamisons(SP) in the village centre opposite the petrol station is amazing and im sure would cook you up what you wanted.
RscottFree Membertake your cheapest bike, buy a hack saw and saw half way through each weld, this might make things a bit more exciting.
Might not be worth it though.
RscottFree MemberI Love the wierdo’s that do things like that I beats being passed by a grummpy person who makes you feel crap as well as slow.
Im not quick at all but love a good encouraging smiley face
RscottFree MemberDo any of you need to take shirts to work everyday, as i have said before i work in aldi and work hard (not say you dont) but with this territory comes a bit of perspiration i get 1 day out of a shirt even if its cold due to the nature of supermarkets, food spills cleaning products etc.
I always find my shirt a bit creased and looking a bit rubbish by the time I get there.
RscottFree MemberGood Start, hopefully tomorrow I will get to leavemy sling in the hospital that i’ve been in for 8 weeks and get the go ahead to start jogging and easy cycling.
In 8 weeks I have gained 2 and a half stone, I even altered my diet was eating healthy and about half of what I normaly would any less and i’d start on the cakes and snacks. Im now at 86kg which at 5 foot 7 seems alot. Ill be joining you on any diet I can find.
RscottFree MemberGet his address and go smash up his flower bed, then call it even.
sounds like alot of hassle for a potential buckled wheel, get some one who knows about the bike side of things to look the bike over if its mearly a truing of he wheel call it a day, if its bent the frame etc etc follow up.
Time and effort of dealing with the insurance and police and then your premium going up from a not at fault claim isn’t worth a new wheel in my opinion.
RscottFree MemberName 1 miserable STW bell end! Can’t, can ya?
ton………….so yes I can.Haha Ton you beet me to it.
I was going to say the irony is the person making the thread is one of them 😉
RscottFree MemberDoes Strave Still incorporate your privacy porimeter on that map as there’s a very faint line running through my house which I presume is me nobody else uses strava. I have a 100m privacy thing on.
RscottFree MemberThats what I’ve done he’s is now accusing my of trying to scam him and sending me abuse, I am currently reporting him to the trust and safety team
RscottFree Memberthe product was described as used, in good condition however do have some wear marks, and listed these areas, also backed up with pictures, i even backed up them working with pictures.
I feelhe is deffinatly trying it on as he has requested a discount rather than accepting the refund.
