Think there are so many factors, I struggle to do my 6 mile commute 5 days a week, my trip to work is easy and takes around 23 mins almost all downhill and a drop of 370m, my trip home takes around 50 minutes and I then have to climb back up that 370m, I generally try and take it easy as even one day would break me if i forced it. If those 6 miles were flat I would have no issue doing it every day.

When i had a stiffee it was just a medium stiffee, not had a stiffee in about 18 months though.

ps AmyYoung’s profile says Occupation: Dancer/Actress, I’m thinking more the exotic kind.

I read that revs will be up to 150mm next year, i seriously wouldn’t bother changing just now, just not worth it.

Put that top tube any lower or the stays any higher and that’ll look like one of those girls bikes. Forks look like very low in the travel department too.

Add some free weights on your rest days and stay active liek washing the car and hoover/mow the lawn etc.

    You hoover your lawn? 8O

Get on the bike lots, whether its fast slow or whatever, try and cut out any shite you eat, especially after your dinner.

justification – i know i’ve got the maximum braking power I can have.

Why does it need to be justified though, its not like i spent $4k on some ridiculous full sus bike that i don’t really need, I spent 20 quid an end and got bigger rotors and better braking.

I’m enjoying my running just now too. Did my first 10k on friday, not a race just a loop around a lake that happens to be 10k, did it in just over an hour so i’ve now got to beat that. I live at the top of a big hill so my local loop (5k) involves running to the bottom and as far up as i can, only ever made it half way back up but my times are getting quicker there too. Not sure it does much for the cycling fitness mind, I feel i’m progressing quicker at the running but still slow as **** riding up on my bike.

wow! just caught up on this thread, amazed at the incompetence and now wondering which company as I have worked for a couple of engineering companies with offices in Glasgow, understandable that it hasn’t been named though. Best of luck sticking it to them though.

took me a couple of hours to build up my bike from nothing, its really not that hard especially when you have the right tools lying around, its mostly just screwing a bunch of stuff together.

So we’re all riding on bikes that are going to fall apart? I thought all these cotic’s, on-one’s and dialled’s were tough as old boots. Its seems like most will have to be beefed up to meet the new standards.
