drop a few of those Herefordshire Pale Ales round and it might loosen me up a bit

8O sounds like you’ve got an intersing night planned with/for big dummy 8O

But seriously, If anything this thread will help those affected resolve the matter, without this pressure they would more than likely be getting fobbed off with more excuses.

it’s a real shame but this forum is fast becoming a sounding room for people to let out their pent up frustration.

Hmmmmm, what was the point of your thread again  asking us all what to do becuase you were frustrated you hadn’t received a response from she/he in two days

Has it not dawned on anyone yet that this guy could be getting pre payment for items he doesn’t have and then going and sourcing them. Would explain a lot wouldn’t it?”

    LMFAO!
… Morse is that you? because that would be easier wouldn’t it.
Its getting a bit hysterical here

this guys post on Page 3 wouldn’t make anyone think that would it.

***RIGHT, I’VE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH IWH TODAY ***

    Guys Please listen to me.

I’ve been in contact via text and IWH apologises but isn’t able to get online at all at the moment to answer your queries.

I know for a fact that he has some serious family issues to deal with and as such it’s not a suprise to me that he can’t get online tbh.

I too am waiting for something IWH sourced from the US for me but I have every faith in receiving as I did my frame just over a month or so ago.

He’s assured me that he’ll attend to everything as soon as he’s able to.

How is him waiting for a couier any different than waiting for you?

FFS, a courier is unlikely to give a specific time (especially not for 7 quid) so he will probably have to wait in much of the day (could get it picked up from work though), if it is a personal collection it would most likely be in the evening at a specific time

I think for many chipping in who are not directly involved, this website is like a community and when somebody takes the piss it does in a small way affect us all. Many of us use the classifieds and don’t like to see it tarnished by people abusing the system. Maybe threads like this will stop someone else trying it on.

This is a discussion forum, granted threatening emails and posts are a bit OTT, but if someone has time to post things up for sale and keeps coming back to post excuses on here then they have time to get stuff posted as has already been said. If your going to abuse the system whether that be actually scaming people, taking a month or two to post something or trading then expect some comeback on it.

i don’t use the trackpad on my work dell laptop cause its such a pain in the ass to use, on the other hand my old ibook G4 trackpad with one button works flawlessly. I don’t run bootcamp on my iMac, no need for it so not a necessity at all.

The 90% that don’t use it from your figures are just used to windows because its what nearly every workplace uses, so for the uninformed they go and buy a windows pc and yes you can buy one a lot cheaper (with poorer spec). Its much easier for the average person to drop a few hundred quid on a cheap laptop than say 700 on a macbook. Doesn’t make it better.

    I’m bored now, macs good, pc’s for weirdo’s :D

I know how you feel, i thought i’d never sell my 06 enduro, fantastic bike, but one day i just found myself getting bored with it, swapped all the part over onto a dialled alpine and really enjoying the change, i’ll probably jump back on a full suss again in a year or so but sometime you just need a change.

now thats a different question but i’d say if your looking to place an ad, really any of them would be ok, not sure but i would think dirtrag is a little less mainstream than the likes of bike and mtb action, if your add relates more to dh and freeride then decline would be a better bet maybe.

Anyhow after looking at the spec of rs’s Alpine I realise that it could be heavier as mine is a similar spec and 2.5lbs lighter.

It’s a NS Bikes Society frame, 2008 Manitou Minute IT with 20mm axle, mainly X9 spec with a Stylo chainset and XT discs and not a bit of carbon anywhere.

Probably about right your frame and fork are probably both 1-1.5lb lighter than what i’m running.

Polarised lenses reduce glare off flat surfaces, like on the road when its wet and the sun is low and shines on it and blinds you. I have polarised oakleys and they aren’t as good as the polarised smith glasses i had before.

You can get rub on stuff that helps with fogging, not sure if it works, my oakleys don’t have the special coating.

There is a good online supplier which always gives a discount, can’t remember the bloody name though, i’ll get back to you on that.

I think to the build the Alpine burly, as opposed to the Souls relatively light build is probably the right way to go as you mention.

Sounds like a plan, now get it ordered!

    30lbs for a hard tail!!!

My Nomad only weighs 3lbs more!!

Yes but your frame will disintegrate and your wheels will fall off if you lay it down the wrong way :D

there is, a mate had one but I can’t remember what it was called, keep looking though.

similar yes, they are just steel hardtails after all, one is a bit more burly and a bit more capable of getting thrown off stuff. Your call.

Its not going to be massively different though, do you currently find the cotic holding you back? the alpine should take a bigger beating but that’s only useful if your going to push it that far, or just get rid of the soul and get the alpine.

Nice bike, but you really need to get out more!

Its cool, i get out plenty, just when i was stripping my old bike and cleaning the parts to swap over to the new frame I figured I might as well weigh everything. I ain’t no weight weenie but its good to know what everything weighs when considering upgrades.

Thought you would like those pics, I prefer the 1×9 but just depends where you ride I guess and how much you need the granny. Most of my proper riding now goes downhill then its usually some switchback climbs or the bus back to the top. Having the 1×9 forces you to put some power in which i kind of like as I always used to take the easy option and drop to the granny. The 66 should be good, i’m looking out for a good deal on a 160mm fork. Also have a set of 09 deetraks coming next week which should pimp it up a bit compared with my wobbly old spesh enduro wheelset.
