unfortunately for chumba, plenty just as functional bikes that are much more appealing, only a weirdo would buy that just to be the only person with one.

too much choice = too much money

Have never had a problem speccing my bikes although they kind of evolve over time, and only one was ever built from scratch, still have some of those parts on my current build.

What are you building, what are you undecided on? We'll soon set you straight 🙂

has nobody called troll on this yet, i mean seriously, the hammer incidents are obviously a different story, but some of these guys have clearly been f456ked over by woman in their lives and beyond the split, you're not all sweet and innocent… and yes we know some of you are ok 🙂

I run a 32 up front and only on steep climbs do I wish for a granny ring (or hammerschmidt thingy), never felt a need for more going down, thats what gravity is for.

ps, If you haven't already, send your cv directly to as many companies as you can rather than just recruitment companies, a lot of companies don't like recruiters as they have to pay them fee's for hiring you.

With a normal checkout,we get to chat to the person behind the scanner, with SS we have hust a flashing machine, there no eye contact, and we have to pack our own bags.

    This is a plus 🙂

in theory though on the things like veggies that you don't scan but just find on the system then weigh you could take the higher quality (arguably) organic veggies and enter them as the cheaper ones.

bloody great things unless you get a bunch of people in front that don't have a clue how to work them. Pretty sure I can scan and pack my bags quicker and better myself than the people on the checkouts without any chat about the things i'm buying.

it would be fine for a day in the hills along relatively smooth trails, but if your talking big/rough descents in there somewhere, you might feel a bit more knackered on a stiffee.

Dialled Alpine now. This was the stiffee

a few bikes later, still actually the same brakes, saddle, cranks, rear mech…

I had one with recons a few years back, it will beat you up a bit over consistently bumpy stuff but still a great bike. I much prefer my steel hardtail now though.

Oh, for what its worth, theres a little track near me, that looks alot harder than that. Yeah, it may only last 20 seconds, but then i do live on the edge of the chilterns…

Its worth nothing without a video, we'll even let you choose the music!
