They maybe weren't born evil but they sure are now, they've been dealt a shit hand in life which has made them evil. I don't know if its possible to undo that.

Can i be the first to say at the age of 15 or less the didn't have a complete moral compass and they didn't know what they were doing! you should have sat them down and given them some counselling.

You're right it that it would be pointless to punish the parents in the aftermath

thats almost like saying it would be pointless to punish a murderer after he has killed. It is clearly their upbringing thats made them what they are, although at the same time i'm sure you can have posh kids turn into evil little shits too.

Whatever caused it, something has to be done to stop them re-offending whether it be locking them up or counselling, probably a combo of both. They shouldn't be excused of all responsibility.

TJ I read that article and to be honest I'm not convinced the Norway method was the correct one, It makes a big deal out of the bulger killers having a hard time adjusting to life, oh what a shame! 🙄 I have kind of mixed views, I mean, at 10 years old you obviously don't think things through properly but equally they killed a 2 year old kid, they shouldn't just expect to go back to normality. In the Norway case why should they go back to normality one week after stoning a child to death? How they were thought of as victims I don't know.

Dp those of you that want them punished really think children of 10 and 11 should be charged tried and punished as adults?

Whats your solution to turn these kids into upstanding members of the community? do you even think that will ever happen or is even possible?

Truly shocking, I immediately thought of that Eden Lake film too. Its probably the most disturbing film I have watched. If the kids are that screwed up there is a fair chance watching that film might give them the idea to do something similar. They may just be kids but they shouldn't get off lightly, I can't see that doing any good either.

While I should be saving it so that I have some money put aside for relocating to find work Ive decided sod it and Im going to see a bit more of the world while I wait for the graduate job market to improve somewhat.

I would say your doing the right thing, enjoy yourself before you have any ties.

ps. Been in Vancouver for two years now, I like it. If you choose this part of the world I don't think you'd regret it.

💡 Maybe shimano are buying him the curry.

Well how late do you think Shimano can leave it to show the bits to companies to put on their 2011 model year bikes? Given they need time to decide the spec., get production in place, sell their product to dealers etc. there's not an insignificant lead time there.

This isn't about making the companies aware, shimano are upset that some pics leaked out before the full public press release in a few weeks time (according to Mark).

anyway, he's off for his curry, somebody get the pics out then hide them again in about an hour 😉

So, just hang on a few weeks and we'll have the information and loads more pictures. That's the way it works.

Hang on a minute! Is this not still mid January 2010? It gets earlier every year 🙄

Ok, with you now, I think there are more fundamental things that need to take place in the uk first though, but yeah I agree an example of a forward thinking country rather than an example of the way forward. Bike racks on the front of every bus would be a really good thing in my opinion.

do you really think little handrails and footrests will encourage people to cycle? I'm sure there must be something better on that site to encourage cycling.

I would say given summers are usually so crap in the UK, that banning summer tyres would be better. Make all cars come fitted with decent all season tyres, they would give better handling on wet roads and give a bit extra traction on the few snowy days.

the last two summers in BC have been dry as a bone apart from a week or two here and there, nothing like the climate in the UK! I haven't had summers like the last two in BC since I was a kid and even then it was still much hotter in BC. This year might be questionable, we're having a very wet winter rather than snowy one, who knows if it will affect the summer or not, kelowna will be pretty much guaranteed to be hot and dry though.

This is group test review from Q2 2009, doesn't include the new olympus just announced or the casio.

Canon and Panasonic both do these types of camera and both take better pictures than any of the others. Olympus is coming out with a new one soon which will include HD video, Panasonic also does HD. Casio have also recently one which looks very nice. The W80 doesn't review well apparently taking worse pictures than the W60 and the menu system is a bit of a pain.

I had the olympus 850SW, build quality was excellent, picture quality not so good, the Panasonic FT1 which I have now is leagues ahead in terms of picture quality, had HD video which was important to me, doesn't seem quite as well built as the olympus though.

You don't need a cock 99% of the time. You'd miss it though.

And its been argued that only cocks have 4×4's therefore if you have a cock you must need a 4×4 🙂 I have both 😀

I've been using this for my UK TV downloads http://thebox.bz/login.php You have to create an account but there's no dodgy stuff on there unlike lots of the other torrent sites. Its great by the time I get in from work it usually has all the days tv worth watching available to download.

My 4×4 Cherokee gets about 15mpg 😳 I just wished I had some snow to see what its capable of. My previous 4×4 Ford Escape was awesome in the snow the previous two years and that just kicked in the back wheels when needed. As has been said a million times that had decent all season tires!

you could get these for some extra traction (google yaktrax)

or snowshoes for deep snow, they don't let you magically float on top of it though.

I can't stand looking at those scrawny little kids these days they should be made to wear extra layers to bulk them up a bit.
