the thing about stopping distance doesn’t really help, the driver on the major road should not have to stop or slow down because somebody pulls out just out of the safe stopping distance.

i reckon its exactly the same as an xbox with xbmc, at least when i jailbroke mine i used xbmc to play torrented stuff.

but there are lots of NAS boxes (Netgear readyNAS for one) which have iTunes server software, so the ATV would be able to interact with that.

    in that case… cool!

We’ve been loaned one by Apple for evaluation. Should be sorting it out tonight, so drop me a line if you want a summary. Ideally, I’d like to stream from a NAS in our house, rather than having to switch on one of the MacBooks, but I’ll let you know how we go

Can’t see it looking at your NAS unless its jailbroken. in conventional form it will only look at what is in your itunes library through your computer.

if you have an ipad with the apps you need to watch iplayer etc, can you not stream from that to the apple tv using airplay? not sure if that works with all the apps but would be cool way of using these apps on the big screen.

having the shock in line with the chain gives the bike a very particular feel, very different to the Yeti and Marins (single pivot and quad-link)

I’m thinking the horst style chainstay pivot contributes more to the feel than the shock being parallel to the chain.

good to hear some positives, just ordered some elixir 3’s with 203 rotors after about 4 years with a set of juicy 3’s. they have been great but are finally starting to play up a little.

sell them both and buy something without a shock that has the potential to crush the family jewels in a horrible way and also doesn’t have one of those silly seat tubes.

Here’s a random extra question… can you get a cable that will connect a smart phone to a car stereo that has a USB port but not a standard jack input to listen to the tunes?

My galaxy s won’t work with my stereo’s usb port, it can work with a standard aux cable, although it will charge through the usb, i just chuck my music on a usb stick and keep my phone in my pocket.

fromme or burnaby mountain are accessible from downtown by seabus/bus, they all have bike racks. Cypress or Seymour you will need to find people to shuttle with, try nsmb.

Is it worth changing as both are single pivot so I am assuming they would both feel/ride very similar

I think you know the answer to this already.

jedi, think it was just poor line choice on a section I had always walked before, but its affecting me on other stuff i have ridden before, think i just need a few more rides.
