Fitting SFN in forks, Cutting steerer tube, HT BB Preload crank cap and Cassette fitting all aren’t allen keys. The tools are cheap enough to pick up however failing that i’m sure a local STW’er would lend you one. As I said before if you’re in staffordshire i’d be happy to help.

IMO the silent riding and lack of chips on the chain stay are fantastic but the thing I liked the most was, due to the chain not being as slack the power from the cranks felt stronger and much more immediate, ie I never felt like the chain slipped when I went to pedal. I wont go back to a standard MTM mech again.

No Volkswagen I know but my dad took out RAC breakdown cover for his passat. He broke down and due to the oil pump ( I beleive ) wearing internally. He broke down at the side of the road legitimately and the car has been serviced and MOT comprehensively however RAC would not pay out as they deemed the BREAKDOWN not to be a BREAKDOWN despite the car being looked after as required on their terms. Always read the small print! Hope that tosh I just typed makes sense and helps a little :lol:

I’m not claiming poverty just don’t have loads of money to throw at keeping fit at the minute, I can’t really afford a road bike but i’ll fit some overtime in and should have one in time for summer. I’ve found some cheap equipment on eBay that i’ve got my eye on. Running is cheaper but I’m no runner and really dont enjoy it. Gym equipment and riding I enjoy.

I can’t commute full stop really, Lack of changing room etc and no where to keep my bike ends play.

I was scammed by him a few months ago. Looks like he’s popped back up – AGAIN. If I can find his email address i’ll shoot him a email to let him know the police will be involved. He should be banned from here too.

I bought the frame second hand and the previous owner fitted it. Shame really as it was probably the reason I decided to sell the bike when I should have just changed the shock.

Doesn’t look the best but helped me out on long rides.

I had a 2008 Pro but sold it last year as the medium was too small for all day riding. I’d love to get my hands on a medium frame and build one up for a play bike! This is how my pitch ended it’s time with me.

I ride Cannock mainly too. There are plenty of second hand bargains around if you were to go down that route. I ride a specialized stumpjumper which I highly reccomend, as I said before the fuel ex is a solid bike. Others to consider are:

Where do you ride, do you have any preference to the amount of travel you’d like? The fuels have been around a while now and are proven rides. The new 2013 changes look to have made it even better so I doubt you’ll go wrong with one.
