I also looked up a 1987 Honda Superdream CB125 worth £600 for interest and it would cost me £10 more than my Kawasaki (£128 fully comp for the 125).
Looks like im going to have to find a way of making my ZXR go a bit further on a tank (it’ll do 110 to reserve on a full tank, which is £16 these days).
110 miles isnt too bad is it? 120 if i dont rev the tits out of it LOL

Get yourself down to Horning, lovely place not nearly as chaotic as Wroxham and some nice waterside pubs that you can pull up in your boat!
Take a Fishing rod (short 8ft spinner) and some spinners and catch some big Pike in there too!

Glad she’s ok, and that you never had a heart attack as a result!

Chicksands is great, i love the place and find the best of people there. In fact we bikers (and im a motorcyclist too) are the loveliest of people arent we- always help out others in distress.

Big pat on the back for us all- share the love!

I remember a bit, first the trainers i nicked are a bit tight, that scaffold pole dont half send a shock up your arms, my mate who videoed me on his new Blackberry forgot to put a memory card in it so we’ve got nothing ‘cool’ to share on You tube, that face mask didnt half restrict my breathing and the wheelie bin i used made all my new Adidas clothes smell bad….

Capture and rape one of the ducks.

Word will get around and they’ll give you a wide berth.

Didnt Minnie Mouse try that with Donald Duck once LOL

I did try catapulting stones at them- it did scare them a bit but they just went and got their mates and ganged up on me….

    Rossi, very nice!

Thanks- I’ll admit though, i hardly ever ride with the forks down to 100mm. It just feels wrong somehow. Theyre just fine at full travel, and you can lock em out for climbs/ sensible road rides etc…

Mine does it all with only a change of pedals, stem and tyres (Spuds, long stem and Panaracers Fire XC’s for most things Flats, short stem and Tioga Factory 2.3’s for playing silly buggers), pictured as silly bugger bike!

Forks are Rock Shox Revelations (air ones) and can be wound in to 100mm to 140mm. So guess what?
100mm for most stuff, 140mm for silly buggers!!!

The thing with MTBing is that you can go balls out as fast as you can on XC and your life’s not really in danger. That’s one of the things I like about it in fact.

Not quite true, i vividly remember a friend of mine who went face first into a metal fence post as a result of highsiding out of a fast corner. His crash lid smashed into 3 pieces, and he had to have extensive surgery to realign his nose and mouth. His crash helmet saved his life. And the fact that the paramedics were miracle workers.

This was 15 years ago and he was on an RTS 3. Imagine the speeds we reach on todays machinery, and im talking about XC bikes. And the trails themselves have moved on so much to be so much more technical than back then!
You can still die on a bicycle. In fact you can still die doing just about anything!

I have to admit, getting a few speeding tickets and section 59 in my time has taught me a lesson – dont go out at weekends on the usual roads and ride like a loon! So maybe police crackdowns do work

Very true- one of the reasons i save my speeding for trackdays (much more fun for going balls out), its about £150 or there abouts to do one- so say four a year is achievable for most people. Isnt it?

Road riding is also great fun, but at sensible speeds- i mean your own sense of self preservation should kick in! Some people though think that because you have a fast bike you should go mad everywhere and if you dont youre not a real man.
Its not just bikes- i know plenty of people with cars that think the same.
And we mountain bikers are no different really, are we?

LOL- that windows a knob hehehehe

    (PS; im a bit childish)
