Pakistani men are more likely to degrade women generally, I’m afraid that’s a fact and none believers well I wouldn’t think they’d worry too much what happens to them.

Interesting point on the radio though. One ‘complaint’ against Cliff Richard v 1400 complaints by homeless kids as far as reaction by our dearly beloved Police Force seems just a tad out of kilter.

But, there are also issues ‘controlling’ these kids at the homes they are in, they get out, they are vulnerable, want to be seen as worthwhile, some bastard buys them a drink tells them they’re his girlfriend, it’s a shoe in and very difficult for the actual social service types on the ground to deal with, until there is a complaint and in that case, it is squarely the fault of the police for not acting.

As for the cultural thing it’s a nightmare, we have become the focal point for escapees from almost every trouble spot in the world, even my sleepy town as nightly inter factional fights between Afghans and Kosovans, presumably Sunni v Shia, I don’t know, but you can bet your life they treat the opposite sect in every bit the same way they’d treat indigenous girls of any colour so it’s not only racially motivated.

Bit of advice, don’t buy anything fitted with BOS equipment, the warranty system involves return to Germany and big delays and there will be problems.

Is it wrong to wonder what the world would be like if we had not quelled Hitler and his ideas ,would there be peace in the world under one nuthob as opposed to infighting and slaughter by lots of nutjobs?

Funny, I often wonder that, he’d be dead by now of course, but I doubt the thousand year Reich would have put up with any sort of Arab autonomy and of course there wouldn’t be an Israel.

As to the beheading I’m solidly with the don’t even go look for it, it’s what they want you to do.

Well I guess it depends what you mean or believe by the term ‘gun culture’, my perception is that it is the culture of universal access to guns, rather than them only being used by professionally trained personnel, which these days, you only have to walk through ay airport to accept is all around us.

The key factor here is that an allegedly professionally trained public servant unloaded almost an entire clip into a defenceless person and so far appears not to even be suspended yet.

We had a similar case with Menezes, eleven shots fired, six to the head, was that part of our gun culture?

Playing the ‘Gun Culture’ card muddies the water, this is a huge abuse of power and position of a police officer and possibly racially motivated, that’s it. He should be seriously punished.

The young man, was hit by six bullets, and they bear all the hall marks of being shot as “Controlled pairs” or double tap, that’s what that privately funded post mortem seemed to suggest, something that would not have appeared in the public domain had the authorities been left to conduct the post mortem.

Either way, it was a wicked and senseless act and absolutely racially motivated and any amount of STW handwringing or suggestion my firearms technique was acquired thanks to some lame video game, isn’t going to allay.

Nasty case and nothing to do with gun culture, this was a public servant allegedly acting with the support of the law, he should therefore be sanctioned.

It’s not that simple. Shots should only be fired when someone’s life is in danger and when that happens (especially if it’s yours); the last thing you think of is shooting someone in the legs. You aim for the biggest bit and shoot until the threat is gone.
I have no idea if that’s what happened here, but it is how it works.

Well that might be how it should work but it doesn’t, not there, not here, but it does in Germany who I gather only fired 85 bullets last year which is more than some yank used in a single incident according to the radio today.

So the training is wrong. I know ‘they’ are not trained to go for a head shot because of the likelihood of missing, but rapid firing a sequence of shots to even running legs has a very high chance of success. Given also the lack of threat posed in this particular circumstance.

a simple shot to the legs would have been enough to disable any criminal
Not done a lot of shooting then I’m guessing?

Enough to know I could hit a person in the leg as easily as the head and a double tap at that.

They also would/should be well trained, they have better access to firearms training than we now have, I’d quote the anecdote about the German cops that had a mate of mines brother shot in the legs and in and out of hospital over the weekend for simply vaulting the barrier of the tube.

What did we do to that Brazilian who vaulted the tube barrier, several shots to the face I recall..

Well I think the militarisation of the police is probably also happening more here as well and was probably adopted after the financial collapse to head off potential internal insurrection.

It is shocking nevertheless, a simple shot to the legs would have been enough to disable any criminal.

We don’t exactly have a good record here on the matter either.

My pension cut in just recently and I’ll say this, however much you save, it won’t be enough. I retired for a couple of weeks then changed my mind and got back into the harness..

The sum I have now compared to when I set out to save is beyond my then wildest dreams, yet it barely copes with my living demands, council tax, utilities, vehicles costs, and other living stuff and I was lucky enough to secure a 10% guaranteed annuity. Then the big shock, is the amount of tax I have to pay on it, I’m perhaps a tad naive in these matters but for some reason I but paying tax on something you’ve waited years to draw down was heartbreaking..

Anyway the moral of the tale, however much you think is a lot now, won’t be when you get there and when you do, the Government will pinch a big chunk of it back..

What a sad little man you are blah blah blah.sadly, I’m not married,.

And I’m the sad little man?

    CountZero – Member
I broke up with someone I loved with all of my heart years ago, because there were issues that I couldn’t quite articulate, and kept bottled up, and in doing so I broke her heart too, and I’ve never quite forgiven myself, and lost someone I could have easily spent my life with, a truly lovely human being.
If I’d only talked to her, things could well have been very, very different.
Unless the two of you communicate, neither of you will ever know what common ground you have, and .

Well you’ll have to excuse me, but that looks like another way of saying exactly what I’ve been pointing out. Don’t tell them and they won’t have any respect for you. And you lost. Me? I tell her all the time, both the good news and bad and yes it could be described as fighting, but we’re 29 years in and still rucking and the last thing I am is sad. I don’t bottle anything up so I aint depressed, nor does she, in this case anger is often a better emotion to display than hidden despair and we row, but all the time we’re rowing, there is still clearly interest.

Well, I’d recommend finding a grown up woman who doesn’t behave like a spoilt princess for a start. Do you live in Essex?

That’s a crap answer, try again without being insulting, they all act like spoilt princesses, because that’s what you make them think they are to start with, it’s inevitably you that changes, when they direct their attention to the kids rather than you, then life weighs in dealing other shit, at your work, their work, your friends, their friends, all manner of bollox complicates married life, but you don’t deal with it by rolling over or running away.

if you’re having to fight constantly in a marriage surely it’s better for everyone to end it?

Well I wouldn’t take that too literally in he ‘fisticuffs’ sense, I mean it in the if something is worth fighting for sense, if you love someone and their acting unreasonably and upsetting you what are you going to do about it.
a)Say nothing and hope ‘she’ comes round
    or
b)Tell her she’s being unreasonable and to correct her attitude (The trick is delivering that statement and surviving it).
We’re not talking about my marriage, my opinion and that is all it is, is that the male role should demonstrate a point where it will not be **** about, don’t adopt that role and for sure you will be, they’re like kids, they’ll push the boundaries all the time. Women are very complex emotional characters, they mature a lot earlier than men, but never really grow right up, they can be bitchy, selfish, unreasonable certainly illogical and it is a bloody minefield dealing with their bullshit, so every now and then you just have to lose the plot with them, let them know there’s that line right there, that you aint having them cross it.

Whatever it works for me, sure most of the time I’m as pussywhipped as the next guy, but, only so far.

Dude, you’re letting her ‘do’ this to you, I hate to use the mtfu quote, but women need to be dominated now and then, no doubt there will be howls of derision from the hand wringing luvvies, but men are supposed to be men, you don’t stand for being humiliated in company, put her down, right there, right then.
Why bother to be married at all if you’re doing everything, I mean it’s not exactly love, sex and roses is it?

Before you dump here, verbally fight back a bit, seriously given you’re going anyway, give it a try.

Guilt? Didn’t you say she’s the one that had the affair, why are you feeling guilt? Other than for kow towing all this time.

Honestly, women need to respect men, just as we respect them, but that respect needs earning, from both parties and part of that is drawing lines that don’t get crossed, tell her how it’s going to be from now on, see if that works, if it doesn’t then you’re no better or worse off and just dump her and go on your way.

There sick of the cover ups.

So what are you inferring chips? There’s not been a cover up? Those files that Leon Brittain ‘misplaced’ genuinely accidentally vanished? Nobody, not one of all those care home kids didn’t try and get his/her case heard?
The Jill Dando thing, just a coincidence she was doing an expose piece for crime watch (allegedly).

No, there’s just to much albeit circumstantial, virtual bollox about for my liking, I think that’s why they leaked it.

Well if only half of the rumour and conjecture over an MI5 lead high level cover up is true, then using the media is at least going to make another one (cover up) difficult.

I doubt they’d do it unless they have been frustrated over the years with cover ups, super injunctions and the like.

That’s disturbing news about the freedom of information act being curtailed in regard to the Royal Family, there’s enough mud being slung, some of it will bound to stick now..

That’s not actually that different a choice as it effectively boils down to how much you want the money and what you are prepared to do to get it.

I’ve not watched the video and I’ve no real intentions of watching it either so I’m not offended by it, but attempts at justifying ogling women by saying “hey it’s all evolution” or some other such nonsense is frankly ludicrous.

No-one said anything about evolution, well not from me, this is about Red Bull saying to a young lad from Glasgow who has become famous for bike tricks, would he do some in the Playboy Mansion, now are you honestly saying if you were him, you’d say no?

All the rest is about publicity seeking bandwagoning, it could be argued STW Towers were being very clever in their approach, there being no such publicity as bad publicity and it’s an easy one to take the PC moral high ground for effect. I wouldn’t think for one moment that wasn’t part of their commercial consideration.

he would have been asked to do it for his sponsor and being a professional did as he was asked, it’s what happens if you accept the ‘Kings Shilling’ and it looks as if he enjoyed it so good for him
Odd definition of professional there, doing whatever your employer asks. I’ve frequently had to tell my employers no, that’s the wrong thing to do and I’m not going to do it.

There’s a mile of difference between the traditional employer/employee relationship and that of a sponsor and a pro sportsman, particularly in a minority or niche sport where it is very very difficult to get actual cash to do the sport you love doing anyway.

So no the only odd thing was possibly defining ‘professional’ in regards to trick cycling, Danny Mack has broken ground, given lots of kids hope and a goal to shoot for and if that means going to bloody playboy mansions then so be it, let the whiners stew, its pretty much the green eye anyway.

Really Sad news can only repeat what everyone else has said, the most depressing news to hear as you wake up, somebody who brought so much joy and laughter was so clearly unhappy himself that he took his own life, so often the case. My version of Mrs Doubtfire with the kids was never a patch on him.

    I’m genuinely upset by this.

Now if we started charging continental trucks as they come off the Ferry or out of the Tunnel a tax to help repair our roads, that would be a start.

All ‘those’ sort of bars are just outside the Hauptbahnhof (Railway Station), got to say there’s not a great deal to ‘see’ compared to other German Cities it’s also a tad quiet and conservative. Some nice bars, (Harpers & Queens, if they let you in) the Nachtcafe, trying to remember the street name of this brilliant *italian restaurant, it’ll come to me in a moment.
Prinz Mishgin is a neat veggie place and there are a few decent Indians now in the road running parallel and to the North of the railway line into Hauptbahnhof.

Drive far enough up the M6 (Cumbria) or the toll bit and it can get quiet and folk behave themselves, those roads are in Northern France and relatively quiet, try driving into or around Paris on the periphique you’ll soon encounter UK style and worse conditions..

Would this thread be as long if the statement had said.

“We’re not covering the new Danny M vid cos it’s a bit shit and quite tacky”?

Well they could of course have just said nothing and ignored it, but then that wouldn’t have whipped their little group of Tree Hugging PC hand wringing twitterati into a frenzy of support and attracted a bit of attention to them for five minutes, meanwhile the real world read about it in other mags nodded smiled and moved on.

I think it’s time for my favourite quote which always seems so pertinent in its application to STW..

I hate offended people. They come in two flavours – huffy and whiny – and it’s hard to know which is worst. The huffy ones are self-important, narcissistic authoritarians in love with the sound of their own booming disapproval, while the whiny, sparrowlike ones are so annoying and sickly and ill-equipped for life on Earth you just want to smack them round the head until they stop crying and grow up. Combined, they’re the very worst people on the planet – 20 times worse than child molesters

I hadn’t seen that video, I don’t think I’ll actually bother anyway, I like Danny Mac and if he’s earned from it then good for him, it’s tough enough to make actual cash from being a pro biker I imagine. I’m with the school that think it’s a band wagon STW have hitched themselves to. I don’t particularly care for their pc attitude either, I’m intelligent enough to make my own decision what to watch, for what it’s worth, I also think it’s pathetic them blocking links to the Daily Mail on the one hand whilst hosting a forum with infantile threads about pooeing oneself in varying situations on the other, the word hypocrisy springs to mind, still they say there is no such things as bad publicity.

I also agree with this view..

Do Vulpine think they own MacAskill? What is with this nonsense? “He’s a role model, so he has to conform to our agenda and be of service to us”. How about this as an alternative, he should live for himself.

And let us not forget, they decry him for appearing with Bunny Girls, but “vulpine” means “foxy”, that’s right, their team is called the Foxy Women’s Cycling Team.

Feminists are the sexual perverts I worry about most, because it’s their dogmas which infect every corner of society, and to the highest levels of government. They’re the misogynists who propagate the view that the women who enjoy their sexual radiance and choose to share that aspect of themselves with the rest of us can’t be self-aware and intelligent but must necessarily be victims of male heterosexuality. And it’s the Feminists who are the man-haters who relentlessly promote the ideology that healthy male heterosexuality must be suppressed and hidden because it is dangerous, dirty and deviant.

Had that Harry down here today to open another mawkish example of this country doing the wrong thing, celebrating an event caused by it’s slavish obsequeince to the very Monarchy that caused the conflagration, so no i won’t be joining you thanks just the same.
My Grandad did his bit, got kicked in the face by a horse struggling with a Gun carriage and disfigured his entire life. He didn’t want to go, but it was considered un patriotic and folk who didn’t had their lives made unbearable by the masses of servants of a class system that imprisoned the bourgeois.
Nothing to celebrate, nothing heroic about that War and today people are still suffering it’s consequence, sometimes the manipulation of events makes me sick to the stomach.
