I really think that all involved should be telling his site sponsors, contacts, manufacturers of his dealings..,

    I intend to..

I don't but he wouldn't be that hard to track down – fairly sure some of the other guys do have his address..

I've just part exchanged the air shock he sent me instead of the ti coil.. can't be @rsed anymore.

I do however, suggest that those owed money chase him through the civil courts and / or Police.
It's the one threat which appears to provoke some response.

I've taken some advice on the matter and am fairly sure that it can be dealt with as a criminal issue.

If anyone wants any more info on this, please feel free to get in touch.

IWH / Hamish / Lee Anderson

If you're reading this, I've part -exchanged the Air curnutt for £160 towards a Ti spring (a genuine, real one that exists this time).

As such, I can't be @rsed to chase you for the rest of the money I gave you/ money I spent on fixing the "perfect working order" shock.

    Simply, I've had enough.

I will still however, be contacting all the sponsors of ride 559.com and making them aware of my experiences with you.

If you feel even a modicum of guilt then give the money you owe me and were going to pay in next week, to someone else you still owe.

You have plenty to choose from although I'm sure PK ripper would be grateful of it.

As for you as an individual, you seem to somehow see yourself as a victim still. ALL of this was of your doing Lee and the sooner you realise the better.

In all seriousness, talking to you it crossed my mind that you might actually be suffering mental health issues such is the bizarre perspective you hold on events.

I still, despite everything don't think you're a serial criminal scammer type but you are however, a consistant and prolific liar.

You recently claimed that the reason I couldn't make contact with you is that your phone, wallet and laptop all got stolen from work.

This doesn't explain why your "stolen" phone still rings, does it? If your sim card had been removed it would not ring, likewise if (as any sensible person would) you got your sim card blocked.

Anyway, that aside I no longer want anything to do with it.

Oh, and for info a few "industry types" have been informed of what you've been up to… in particular those that have provided a massive amount of help in resolving the issues you caused me.

I know you'll again see yourself as an innocent victim but just stop and ask yourself why so many people take issue with you.

I sincerely hope that you gain some sort of perspective, resolve the issues you have and most importantly do the right and proper thing and pay people the money you owe them.

    regards

Thanks very much for the info guys.

Is there any way of removing the axle without removing the bearings though?

The bearings are fine but I need to replace the axle very quickly before a biking trip at the weekend you see…

Just wondering also – has anyone run more than 100mm forks on a Wanga or similar?

I've been told the Reba SL's can be adjusted to 120mm you see….ta

Anyone got a picture of a 19'' Wanga? I was just wondering if it was at all "gate-like" like some larger hardtails are?!?

Also, any tips on how to ride a hardtail again (been riding a 6'' susser for 4 yrs .. should be an interesting contrast!!)

    :D

I can't believe you got the d-jab for that price Houns! It's about £1500 now :-(

cheers rOcKeTdOg – that's encouraging! I was feeling pretty depressed after coming back from Halfords today realising they never have Voodoo's in stock.

To be honest I can't find a hardtail that is better value than the Wanga at the moment – Reba's, Elixir's and decent finishing kit all for £900 plus I get 15% extra to spend on accessories as it's a Halfords "core range"..

Can anyone advise me as to what the sizing is like?

he biggest I can order is 19'' and I'm trying to work out if this is going to be ok for me at 6'22…

    Afternoon

I'm looking at the bargaintastic Voodoo Wanga from Halfrauds on the C2W scheme.

As there's only a few branches in the country who stock them I have to order it directly and as such won't really get a chance to try it.

I realise this isn't the best way to buy a bike but have limited choice from Halfords and just don't fancy the alloy boardman at the price.

Can anyone tell me what the sizing is like on them?

The 19'' is the biggest they can get and I'm wondering it'll be ok for me – I'm 6'2'' and my other bike is a 20''

The effective top tube is half an inch shorter on the Wanga but then again I will be using a longer stem with it.

    Any help much appreciated!

    Cheers for info guys.

I certainly will be looking at doing the above very soon indeed – even if more out of principle than to reclaim my money (although obviously that would be good too)…

Do any of you guys happen to know the other chaps who are waiting for stuff / know of whether they got refunds??

Mr Agreeable – looking into it there can be all sorts of charges for getting things presented in court, if it gets that far.

I will have a proper look at it all if nothing else happens first.

There's also the entirely seperate issue of me being sold a frame " in perfect condition" with a shock that needed £150 worth of work to be carried out…

Yeah I was about a mouse click away from doing that last time when we came to an agreement – i.e. he paid half what was owed and would arrange to pay the other half.

I might still consider the moneyclaim route although it can get expensive (although I would claim all costs back).

    So….

I'm still waiting for the other half of my money (£55) Hamish… in case you happen to be reading this?

    Anyone else waiting?

Should it matter two flying f00ks what ethnicity or religion someone is if you like em?

    Interesting this.

Is it my imagination though, or do you hear more about frames from top-end boutiquey brands breaking than those from the big players?

I suppose it could just be that perhaps people are more vocal when their megabucks frame snaps as opposed to their Giant/Spesh/GT that they’d just return to the dealer..

Or is it that the big names have been doing it longer and have designed better fatigue-modelling wotsits??

What about the Fox 32’s with 15mm thru-axle? Very light for the travel and pretty stiff too..

I know someone before mentioned that this might be classed as a civil issue; however surely it’s fraudulent behaviour and could be dealt with in criminal law?

Lee was supposed to pay into my account today.. surprise .. no money.

I’m going to do an online moneyclaim action but might also make investigations about whether or not he can be investigated by the Police….

    Oh hello

I’ve just posted a “comment” on IWH’s article on http://www.ride559.com as per S-H-L-B’s link.. about my missing goods/cash.

I suggest anyone else owed stuff do the same..

Ask IWH, as your trusted friend and owner of many foes he should be able to help….

Can you guess who I bought the frame from then?

re identification – Jamie@balfa measured it’s coil diameter and compared it with his stock of springs.

    Hmmmm

OK so it seems the FOES FXR I bought secondhand came with a 450lb spring instead of the 350lb I was told it had.

No surprise that I was only getting 3” of travel out of it then!
