Why is there never one around when you need it?!

Not a sausage of a hint of a code?

It needs a coil vanilla shock on the back ;-)

Otherwise, it looks pretty darn nifty

Both the Kona and the Moser have me reaching for my debit card! If only the moser had the looks of the Kona :-)

I’m 6’2″ with a 33″ inside leg so was thinking of a 59 ish cm frame.

Fair point about not noticing the differences much!

Kopperburg alcohol free cider isn’t too bad at all. Most big supermarkets seem to have it now

    Thanks sicklilpuppy, that’s helpful.

Yes, I’m debating about wether to give spd’s another go after years of flats on the mountain bike..

Hmm looks like a temporary website wobble!

So… If I ignore the Giant do I go for the best spec or the prettiest bike?! It shouldn’t come to this really .. :-)

    Thanks http404 and TiRed

I am a little wary of buying over the Internet as it’ll be my first road bike. Hopefully CRC and Wiggle have a decent wrong size returns policy :-/

So it looks like the Moser has the edge then …?

    Http404 – thanks but I’m oop norf.

Are the fulcrum wheels on the wiggle bike better than the Shimano ones on the Kona ?

    RopeyReignRider

    Um, cheers chaps.

The defy gets good reviews but the spec of the Kona and the other one linked to above look hard to beat!

Why are there no CRC or wiggle discount codes at the moment?!? I usually get them every month at least!

Yeah that looks good too. I must admit I do like the looks of the Kona.

    Anyone else?

Bmw 320i coupe (E92) here. Slightly nippy but RWD and goes round roundabouts far quicker than is decent for a normal sort of car. I am perhaps biased but recent Bimmers do seem to grip and accelerate rather well ( even with pokey 170bhp)

Of you fancy trusting a complete stranger I can get you 20% off a Vodafone contract over £20 per month.

I don’t work for them but it’s a “corporate perk” so email me if you fancy it (I just have to fill in a form online )

It’s annoying as if it was a muntin bike I’d know straight away!

I’m just after a dirt cheap road bike and this ere Triban 3 is streets ahead of the nearest rival (Carrera TDF for £250 , in itself probably a bargain but nowhere near as nice as the Triban)

Aha, those rings look like a bargain. I think I’ll order those. I can’t say I’ve noticed a problem with the BB but the bike is a halfords special so it’s no great surprise!

As I’ve signed up for a charity Coast to Coast ride in September I am sorely tempted by this instead of fixing up my hybrid, seems a bit of a bargain:

Thanks, that looks the sort of thing.

Excuse my ignorance but as my BB shell is 68mm but the BB spans 72mm as it sticks out a bit, is the above still suitable size wise?

I had hoped I could find some cheapo chainrings as the bike is distinctly economy in stature!

Oh and it’s an 8 speed setup with a square taper BB if that makes any odds in terms of replacement ..

    Thanks guys.

My current MTB is a Tracer VP :-/ My hard tail has brakes or forks.

I do have a cheap carerra hybrid thing with 700c wheels and skinny tyres. However, as it needs a full drivetrain and other bits and because I fancy a road bike anyway, I feel tempted to get a cheapy road bike.

Those Tribans certainly sound good if I could fine one

As well as having the cheeriest delivery drivers Ocado also give us a free bottle of wine on our ‘anniversary’ each year we’ve been with them. It’s also worth liking their page on the dreaded Facebook as they sometimes have coded to get free stuff in your next order (I recently got £20 worth of lovely weekendy hamper thingy).

Two of my friends have identical new Focus’ss and one of then had the issue described but not the other.

As above a firmware update seemed to sort it..

If you can bring yourself to ignore the Internet ramblings on injectors etc I wouldn’t discount even a 320i.

I have an E92 (coupe) in 320i SE flavour and it’s pretty nippy (0-60 in 8 sec) but will do 46mpg on the motorway at 70 and around 30 mpg at a crawl around town.

I’ve done 9000 miles on my 2008 and haven’t had any hint of a problem. The best bit is that it’s condition based servicing wotsit tells me it’s another 9000 miles until service!

    Another Sheffield dweller here.

I’m a non-mincer who prefers shorter techy rides.

I have blue eyes and size 11 feet.

    However, I am also 32 :-(

    In one student house …

I lived with a Greek guy who’s mother had always done everything for him. I came out of my room to thick smoke and asked him what was going on. He was trying to cook rice on the hob.. But was unaware that water was required. I then gave him a frozen pizza to cook as he had nothing else left , I came out of my room a bit later to a funny smell and a confused Kristos with pizza on melted polystyrene base :-/

.. Then there was Josh who was convinced that his room had fleas and covered literally every surface of his room in flea powder … He then wondered why he itched a lot (coincidentally he did a lot of drugs).

The same guy was then asked to wash up as it was his turn. Admittedly there was a mountain of washing up to do but none of us expected to come back to an immaculate kitchen … But with 3 bin bags of dirty cutlery/crockery dumped on the swing bin. He’d binned literally every utensil, plate , knife and fork :-/

My advice would be to not get too hung up on what to provide your guests for the wedding breakfast (assuming you’re having one).

We initially specced rump steak and champagne amongst other things and then realised we’d save over £2k going for a chicken dish with prosecco. In the end most guests are just grateful for free food and drink!

You know, I’m feeling a bit disgusted with myself for running to the kitchen and hacking a lump off to go with the Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon. I’m sure Mrs RRR has a plan for it to be cooked with something or other but there’s no other cheese in the house.

    Is it always wrong raw/naked?
