    I believe they’re better..

I used to be with Tiscali and went to Sky as I couldn’t bear to stay with them. My parents and brother both have Talk Talk and are very happy with them.

Yep, got bombarded on the way home on the M60… I started to wonder if it would be followed by hot hail as Ming the Merciless started his attack on Earth!

indeed, shame that another sunbeam has bitten the dust. 🙁

I put a proper multi-point cage in my 1300 Nova, as I didn’t like the idea of just bolting it through the floor! Still wish I had that car 🙁

Deft, the software is available to download from the Mobileaction website, might be worth a try.

NICO – The documentation states –

    i-gotU Travel Logger with PC
Slide i-gotU Travel Logger onto i-gotU Dock/ i-gotU USB Cable and connect it to your PC USB port.
Please go to Start-> Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> Ports (COM & LPT), and note down the com port number of “Mobile Action GPS USB Com Port” device.
Please refer to the user manual of your navigation software to set up the transfer port and set the Baud rate between 9600 and 115200.
The blue LED indicator starts to flash when the setup is completed. i-gotU Travel Logger now works as GPS receiver for your navigation software.

    So that’d be a yes.

Jim – the Lock seems to be quite strong, and no it didn’t lose signal under the trees. It did go a bit odd later on when the weather set in. But you can edit the points and delete the inaccurate entries. There’s no way of editing the HDOP/VDOP settings though, but there is a clean up data option.

druidh, I’ve not got a gps phone, hence getting the tracker.

HTTP404 – I’ll see how to clean up the data.

    Cheers

peterpoddy – i’m with you on this. Since the interest rates have dropped, we’ve bought a 37″ Sharp Aquos HD TV, some new oak furniture for the lounge, a new car, a Wii and Wii Fit..

Hopefully we can stop spending this month..

could you force a download by going into the engineeers menu and updating the software?

menu 4 0 1? (that’s off the top of my head and for sky+) and is especially tricky if the 4 button doesn’t work!

I was watching the race. I remember thinking that he wasn’t going to be ok after the impact. We were having a barbeque in the garden and I remember going in to check on teletext/news to see his condition. Can’t believe its 15 years ago.

I can still remember the shock of seeing the news, similar to when I heard of the death of Elio de Angelis when testing his Brabham BT55 and the deaths Henry Toivonen/Sergio Cresto and David Metcalfe in other accidents.

The most shocking one that I can remember was the death of Ricardo Paletti in 1981? when his car caught fire.

Motorsport is very dangerous, which is obviously part of the appeal.

yep, they said they had problems collecting the funds, but that’s really odd as i’d have thought they would have checked cleared funds before despatching (if they did)

ah, if that’s breaking the bead, then yes. I did that.

the bead was just so tight that I could only get one lever under the bead, but couldn’t pop it over the lip..

In the end brute force and metal levers did the job!

I think it was just incompatible rims and tyres… Which is a shame as I was enjoying them..

Are you making sure you’ve broken the bead all the way around the tyre before using the tyre levers. Do that and you can remove most tyres without even using tyre levers.

what do you mean about breaking the bead? Don’t you need to get the lever under the bead to pop it off the rim?

btw, I managed to get the tyre off, using some cheapo metal ones I had in the shed..

The Kenda Nevagal/Blue Grooves that I put back on, I managed to do those by hand!!

i’ve got some (cheap) metal ones in the shed, I might try those, but i’m just worried that i’m going to damage my rims.

We’ve stayed at Cap Coz (Peirre et Vacances) in apartments, that was nice and not too far from Benodet

Gites near Pontivy, that too was nice (can’t remember the name of them though)

and we’re going to a working farm in brittany this summer which is going to be great for the kids.

    taking bikes too!

As for ferries, we’re doing the Portsmouth-Caen crossing, price was a shock after going via dover-dunkirque for the last few years! £559 for car, roof mounted bikes, 2 adults and 3 kids..
