have a look at this department[/url] their navigation on the left is better and the content in the main section is much cleaner

I think wwaswas is saying what I’m saying, where you’ve got the text in the main content section of the page that has hyperlinks embedded into it with links to the course details.

Another option is to have these courses as sub-links underneath the menu item on the left, so when you click on it

    ie

    Welcome
    Research
    The School
    Undergraduate Courses
    PG & Professional Courses
    ….

    Welcome
    Research
    The School
    Undergraduate Courses
Initial Teacher Education (ITE) degrees in Early Years Education
    Primary Education
    Education Studies + PGCE (3+1)
    PG & Professional Courses
    ….
(the links would be slightly indented from the parent menu item)
But these can become messy and unmanageable if the link text is too long….

To me the left hand navigation’s not too bad. The bit that’s messy is the main content with the links as part of the text. It makes it messy and hard to read. Navigation back to the previous page does need to be addressed too as the breadcrumb navigation link at the top of the page should be consistent through the site.

You’re better off having blocks of text

I’m out at a ‘do’ on Saturday night. I suspect that with the clocks going forwards I won’t have gone to bed before the race starts.. 😈

Been to Lara (Hotel Concorde) and Belek (Sirene) temperature is good at that time of the year. Not too hot. Good value for money.

Make sure you take pound notes for the ‘entrance visa’ they charge.

Great for fake Rolex, Omega watches etc and cheap leather handbags/coats.

Foods good, people are friendly. Just be careful where you choose to go. Check up the resort on the net. We’ve just changed our october hotel as it’s had Salmonella outbreaks for the last 4 years running.

We use Sky (plusnet rebranded afik).. Been great. Although, i’ve just ‘unlocked’ the sky F@st wireless router and replaced it with a freebie AoHell Speedtouch wireless router and the download speeds have improved by 10% (speedtest.net).

Bear in mind though, BT are to start rolling out their Fibre To The Cabinet network upgrades next year and will be offering much higher speeds than currently available.

I’d expect that they’ll be banned after this GP. Brawn will do well in qualifying but both cars will retire, no harm no foul and Brawn secure a nice sponsor for the future.

Virgin are widely reported to be within hours of announcing a sponsorship deal and the cars could be running the new colours this weekend.. Anyone spotted any Brawn Mechanics in the Aerosol Paint aisle at Aussie Halfords looking for red paint?

It’s to do with confilicting regulations on the diffuser and rear impact absorbing structures, if i’ve read correctly. They (toyota, brawn & williams) have incorporated elements of their rear diffusers into the crash structure, thereby neatly circumventing the diffuser height rules.

    Good engineering design, imho.

Sure is, and Ferrari et al are just upset because they didn’t think of it and are potentially losing 0.5 seconds per lap to the Brawn design.

Roll on Sunday Morning… I can’t wait!!!! (and saturday morning for quali, and perhaps this morning coming for first practice) 🙄

try These from Argos. I have a pair and personally, I think they sound great and the ‘virtual surround’ kinda works too.

I weighed 15st when I went and my lap times were within a second of the ‘little people’ so it’s not too much of an advantage. There aren’t enough straights to give them an advantage.

it’s fantastic….. the raised section is really really good.

Just be careful though as the marshalls are over zealous. My team came second last time we went because I was hit from behind (after a totally clean pass) and black flagged!!

Oh, and if you go to the toilet, don’t go wearing your helmet.. You’ll get penalised for that too..

The Karts are modern, well maintained and have very similar performance.

Rusty – There are a quite a few decent pubs outside of Rochdale (Norden and Bamford especially)

Rochdale centre will be nice, there are plans to redevelop it. Clicky Although the developers are struggling in the current economic climate.

Unfortunately it was covered in snow when I took the pic! 🙄

I would like to show some nice bits, but the previous owner of the house removed all the character and left it completely devoid of any features.

I’ll be also watching the photos with great interest!

sofaking, if you have a cr@p picture on your HD tv with standard sky you may need to change the settings in your sky box to RGB from PAL. It makes a massive difference to the picture quality.

    1) 3 (2 needed new helmets)
    2) Many
    3) the chin strap nipped me behind the ear if that counts!
    4) 0%

I insist my kids wear a helmet whenever they’re on their bikes. My youngest is 2 and a half and wears his helmet whilst on his push-along trike! 😀

mm, the problem with uppermill/greenfield is that it’s still so expensive.

That was one of the reasons I moved from Saddleworth to Norden in Rochdale which is very similar to Greenfield (apart from lack of train station, but good bus connections to Manchester etc).

There’s some nice houses towards the top of Rooley Moor (Once you’ve gone past the Council estate at the bottom of the road!)

There’s a few for sale round where we are, ranging from £100K for a 3 bed semi to £300K for 5 Bed Detached.

There’s Mountain Ash, Stonehill Drive and Elm Park. With Lane Head Hamlet at the top of the top (not sure if any are for sale at Lane Head at the moment) or off the Caldershaw Estate (nearer Norden).

The Elm Park properties were built in the late 60’s and really are a good size for what you pay.

there’s a few properties in Rochdale for sale (Rooley Moor, Norden, Littleborough etc so close to rural)

Littleborough is handy for the train and (sort of) round the corner from tod.
