ours only needed rebuilding as I used to vac up all the plaster / wallpaper that i’d stripped off the wall at the old house… I think an industrial one would have struggled too!

yes. I think we’ve got the DC04 model. It’s very good. Had it for 8 years now, just needed a slight rebuild a couple of years ago after i’d vacuumed up part of the carpet.

you can’t haggle in car showrooms at the moment, they’re being sooo tight it’s unbelievable!

managed to get £400 off a £9000 car! I’d normally be able to get at least a grand discount.

I’ve tried the SiS Gel and ones from Decathlon, the SiS one worked a treat, almost an instant ‘hit’ after i’d had it.

A good solution if you don’t have an aux input on your stereo

This way you’re not having as many issues with interference.

I believe it is a good product (if you like MS).. It’s also been in the UK for long enough for them to iron out any regional issues (ie dollars instead of pounds that affected Microsoft RMS when it came to the UK)

If you want to teach, they’re now looking at fast tracking people from ‘the real world’ into the education system. I know there’s a shortage of science related teachers..

SAP will work out very expensive in the long run. I remember the IT Director at Halfords saying after they’d installed it that it was like buying a house and slowly decorating it room by room.

    SAP consultants charge the earth.

Have a look at Microsoft NAV Microsoft Dynamics NAV, it’s their ERP solution and it’s designed for small to mid sized businesses. It will also integrate into Microsoft Office and Sharepoint 2007.

they’re an even lower rent version of Brighthouse..

The thing is, though, that a lot of people budget to buy products with a weekly amount. They don’t look at how much it’s going to cost over the term of the agreement.

    Zed,

I really hope you sort something out. I was shocked, by your post this morning. The IT department sounds to be completely inept and you have been unfairly and unprofessionally treated. I’m sure you will get good legal advice and a satisfactory outcome.

    Keep your head up, chap.

if you’re on orange, avoid at all costs HTC Touch phones, they are shonky.

    Terrible battery life.
Constant crashing – Black screen of death, rainbow screen of death.
Locks up, unable to answer calls. Only way to reset is to remove the battery and then wait 10 minutes for it to reboot.

We have them at work and have endless problems. I’ve handed mine back and have got a basic nokia and emails can wait until i’ve got internet access.

The mlehworld avatars will be cached locally on your hard drive (saves downloading them every time you visit the webpage), hence the connection to 14 sites in one minute etc. That’s why your IT dept. thinks you’ve downloaded Dead polar bear pron!

Take a look in the internet cache it should be very colourful!!

Even if you deleted the internet cache within IE 7, index.dat holds a list of all the website you’ve ever been to!!!

    that’s why I use Firefox!

Surely all they have to do is open up the page from mlehworld’s forum and right click view source…

(this is from my profile on here, which links to an image held externally to the singletrack site)

    <div id=”useravatar”>< img alt=”” src = “http://www.gravatar.com/avatar/77f885b7950f8eb87d725b72bab69a99?s=80&d= http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gravatar.com%2Favatar%2Fad516503a11cd5ca435acc9bb6523536%3Fs%3D80&r=g” class = “photo avatar avatar-80” style = “height:80px; width:80px;” /></div>

and search for all the img tags

that way, hopefully they’ll see that those links loaded automatically from the site and you weren’t trawling pr0n.

I do follow the rules of the road.

    I rarely speed.

The black box doesn’t use mobile phone technology, it uses GPS

my wife does work for the dvla.. (not really!)

it’s not just about speeding though is it?

You have a black box in your car that’s constantly in communication with a satellite and the government knows the exact whereabouts of your car 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

large418, I did say that I believed that the xf shared the same floorplan, not that it definitely did use a mk4 mondeo floorpan.

As for the x-type, I agree that modifications have to be made for transmission etc. 4wd without a transmission tunnel doesn’t do much for ground clearance!

I would have thought it would be 24 hours a day regardless of road conditions/volumes.

it’s just a constant erosion of civil liberties and freedom. So much for us living in a free country! and, yes, I know there are worse countries out there…
