Anyone use their Scandal 29er for xc racing? Im thinking about getting one for next year as a xc race/marathon bike. They look like they would do a great job but have never had much time on a 29er. What do you think?

    p.s sorry for the hijack!

I have been running Hutchinson Toro 2.1 all year and very impressed. They even grip in the damp too!

They will work great. But you may also be able to run the Reba at 115mm by removing the spacer on the air side. I think all Reba are adjustable between 85-100-115mm if they are the older version.

Intense Spider 2 – 4.5 or 5" rear and will run 120-140mm fork. Beautiful bike.

I have had one since 2002 and still ride it now. It has been a fab frame and has done many miles. Starting to look a bit tired now but still love it! If you can get one at a good price(they are bloody expensive otherwise!) they are well worth a punt.

I have been running 355 on Pro2 for about 18 months with absolutely no problems at all. Light, fast, strong – pick all three!

I have just (Friday) got a Intense Spider 2 and it rocks!
Not the lightest frame at around 5.8lbs but its first ride was a local XC race and then 3 1/2 hours trail riding on Sunday and i have been blown away at how good it is. No bob under power and plenty plush with 4.5 or 5″ travel settings and im running a Float 120 fork but will also take anywhere from 100 – 140mm. Absolutely worth a look!
