Ok bit confused – Lake District or Peak District – there's about a 2 hour drive between them?

    Well said CFH.
It is heartbreaking to see another parents lose a child, and it makes you want to wrap your own in cotton wool and lock them indoors.

Stoner – have you tried Ultrajoist – all timber solid wood.
Not sure if it will fit the bill but worth a look – made by Glenalmond Timber in Methven, near Perth.

    Saw this on Building talk:

    "Ultrajoist outspans I beams"

Jacko was never convicted of any offence though right?

Oh come on, let's not let petty legalities get in the way of a good witch hunt!! 😆

(IIRC he paid off most of his accusers)

Think it was because he was one of the yoofs in the pub footy team rather than a general rule of the pub. He banned another player earlier in the play and so, after a crisis of conscience, stuck to his principles and applied the rules equitably he then banned the gangsters son and would not back down due to threats – etc etc.

MF – yep, in his Long Good Friday era, the boot would have been on the other foot.
Jimmy McGovern at his best with a good solid cast.

Do you have a motorbike license? You can have a fun bike which is economical and it will get you there faster. May be worth considering.

work 1 mile from home so walk or cycle in most days, means I can have breakfast and tea with the family.
Set up small company seven years ago and work with a great bunch of people, clients are ace – it has become self selecting over time.
Would only change if I had so much cash I could stop working altogether.

Jui Jitsu – very practical, hands on and, if you get the right club, teaches you all the dirty tricks.
Would also suggest doing some boxing as it will teach you how to take a punch as well as throw them.

Had one of these for about 8 years, it's an Outwell but I forget which one, it has survived storms, gales and remains undamaged.
I bought it because it was one of the only family tents still standing at a camping show after gales hit the area.
A nice feature is that you lay out the fly, slide in 4 poles – 2 pegs at one end and just walk backwards holding the unpegged end and up it goes in seconds.
Fly first means the inner stays dry when pitching in the rain – even better if you are moving around as it is the last to come down too.
Have a VW camper now but would not sell the tent, it's too good and I keep it as a "just in case".

If we were to play Test Match cricket instead of 20 20 cricket we may stand a chance.
The Crims had got their head around what needed to be done and fair play to them, they did it well. Their openers played themselves in and intended to stay, going to take a lot even to be competitive. I'd give him the cash now.

Saw a bit on virgin catchup, he looks like a 80's cock rock lead singer, needs a tight pair of jeans and a denim jacket.

Thought he was after the David Essex look from the early 80's, shaggy hait, collarless shirt and waistcoat. Was waiting for him to break into "A Winter's Tale"!!

Ok if we are being picky – in the opening episode where they had blown the Hub to bits and Ianto and Gwen were crawling about, they were both pinpointed with lazer sights. I would venture to suggest that highly trained firearms afficers from whatever organisation would have shot them both.

I manage to nick myself every time I shave.
If I shaved my legs it would be death by a thousand cuts.

    The moment you consider it.

Had a Lakedoodle (long story but the breeder said her pedigree Poodle was "raped" by a Lakeland in the park and she wanted rid of the filthy Mudbloods).
Parents bought me the only dog in the litter – combination was volatile to say the least – bloody intelligent but could be a nasty little swine when he wanted to be.
Lasted 15 years and still very active on the day he died (straight after a 5 mile walk, in front of the fire – I want to go this way too)
Anyway – crosses are good for all the reasons above, but if you go that way be mindful of the traits of the bitch and dog.
Am in negotiation with "The Midwife" for a new dog now the kids are older – like the look of the Spanish Water Dog or Labradoodle.

Last night "The Midwife" pointed out that Dr Who is being a bit slack, shows up for the easy stuff – Daleks, Cybermen, Sycorax – but where is he when there are child stealing, smoke breathing sticky crab like thingies with a kid in the middle?

HtS – Contact lens girl is toast
Gun toting madwoman – if she lives, I wager she'll join Torchwood – they are all slightly damaged people in one way or another. Apart from Gwen, who is mysteriously attractive.

Peter Capaldi's character survived and is, right now, the First Secretary of State!!

You could see it coming as soon as the evil woman in black said, when finding out Ianto had been with TW for a long time, something along the lines of – surprising as life expectancy is not long for those in Torchwood…

have an Ocean Frenzy sit on – never will be a substitute for a sea kayak or any decent kayak but for fun and ease of use it is great. Depends what she wants to do and how serious she wants to get and the seasons when she will be paddling.
