Should make it easier for the Americans if they go to war.
They'll be able to home in on the morning coughing fits with their drones.
And, if we are to be believed about the slimming effect of fags, they will be too fat to run away, so they may just be able to hit enemy targets rather than our lads.

Ok had one of these on the beach a couple of years ago – thought the keys were lost in the sand – 15 poeple and 2 hours later I found them caught on the frayed seam of the rucksac, a thread had caught on the ringythingy the key was attached to – so don't just check pockets.

Another is between the seat and the plastic seat side trim, there is often a gap into which they and all manner of treasures can fall.

Nice to hear the price is now reasonable they wanted a couple of hundred for a spare for my old Pug 406 est.

Pook – "young man" – not heard that in a long time, you have made my day 😀
And that pic has been photoshopped – no litter, chewing gum marks or bundles of people in the doorways.

Ale: Guinness or any stout or porter, like most real ales except the really hoppy ones.
Red Wine: Chateauneuf du Pape and most Rioja, Cretan red after this summer's excursion.

Oi lay off Rotherham, that's my home town.
There is a plan I have heard of to fatten the whole town up to that size, render them down and solve the nations power needs for decades.

Was just discussing this last night with a contact in the mtb/mountain clothing industry – he was of the understanding that the race had changed ownership again so there may be more news shortly.

    Crete.
Just had 2 weeks there and it was brilliant if you like a real mixture – hills, beach, history, food, people.
We avoided the main resorts and had a fantastic time.
There are bike hire shops and some organised trips up the mountains.

There was a piece on the radio today and IIRC they said somewhere up noth was using it for child trauma cases. Could get injured children treated more efficiently and out of hospital faster – they never mentioned any other effects, guess they were using other drugs in tandem to suppress them.

Eldest son has been able to pass stools that defied belief, they must have been at least half his bodyweight when he was tiny.

Surpassed himself in a Sand Dollar motel in Monterray – blocked our toilet so it flooded the bathroom, then when the poor sod on reception had shifted it from there it blocked the system for the wing of rooms around us.

We were pointed at a lot in reception the next morning.

    Lyn Gwynant campsite – Snowdonia.
Right under Snowdon if you fancy a walk/run
Access to the lake for a swim/paddle
You can have a campfire in the evening (they provide fire baskets and wood)
    And it's very chilled atmosphere.
You can walk along the Lake on the shore opposite the road to the rock which is a great place to sit and think.

RF90's post was originally about using prisoners INSTEAD of animal testing. Trouble is, in the early stages of testing, you need an awful lot of animals, and you need to dissect them afterwards to see what the effects are on the various tissues.
Which might be a problem with people.

Why? Have seen a few autopsies and they seem to be able to do them quite well? 😀

As NH says it will depend up[on your employer – there has been some recent legislation introduced IIRC that you may want to check out regarding flexible time and child care issues.

Would they let you work from home – can you work from home?

One of our team lost his wife a few weeks ago and he has young twins, we refurbed his cellar as a home office and he comes in for meetings which we schedule during the school day.

You can only explain your position to them and ask them to be supportive – if they don't/won't perhaps a move is a good option.

    Good luck.

Just put the phone down to an editor of a reasonably large circulation magazine.
She had called because in the article I had written for her I had used the phrase "as flexible as Olga Korbut" she had googled it and was asking if she thought it would be useful to put an explanation of who Olga Korbut was in brackets!!

Have to agree with steveh – VWT5 Transporter – all the latest mechanicals plus very versatile.
Not sure if they still do a Multivan variant – the old T3 had 7 seats and the rear folded into a bed. You could also get them with a poptop which meant you did not develop a pronounced stoop!
There's also great forum for VW vans info and support if you do get one.(not the T4Forum)

Crikey, bit of a shocker over tea and toast.
Great to hear you all got out more or less in one piece.
Keep close to the kids and talk about it, hug them and reassure them, they will bounce back – kids are very resiliant.
Hope your arm is ok and get back behind the wheel as soon as you can, it will knock your confidence and the longer you leave it the harder its going to be.

    Not all Kids Willard.
My 2 have been pretty focussed on whay they want to do sine they were 5/6.
They are now 11/12 and they have not waivered once!

Ben came home from school at 5 years old having been told to choose a hero from the ref books in the library – without prompting he chose Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
From that day to this he is obsessed with becoming a Design Engineer!

Joe at 6 decided on becoming a film maker, we are now knee deep in videos, animations, wildlife films, cameras , etc, etc.

People tell me it is not good that they have chosen so early, but I am happy to support them in every way I can, if they change their minds later on at least they will have had fun and learned a lot in the interim. My education/careers advice was awful, a mix of parental obsession/crap careers teacher/and me being clueless.
