It really is no one else’s business.

Unless you fall off and receive some form of head trauma, at which point it becomes a whole lot of other people’s business.

    Very sad news.

It’s like anything with kids and activities – if they take to it in a big way I will invest in good kit, before that it’s basic stuff. (must be my inner Yorkshireman coming through!)

The eldest did take to riding so I built him a bike around my old custom ally frame, then upgraded it bit by bit.

The youngest is just getting back into it so he is on a Decathlon bike with a few extras.

Both bikes are rigid so I’m hoping that they will learn to ride them before they rely on boingy stuff.

They are heading off together over the hills today to meet family in Eyam so something must be working.

The worst part of kids/youth bikes is that they are incredibly heavy and blessed with suspension forks that would beat bombers to death.

Was out last night and there only a couple of puddles in the usual spots. It’s all pretty dry at the moment.
Did the front of Bradwell Edge for the first time in ages and it was dry but overgrown. Now my arms look like I self harm!!

Our hockey team goalkeeper, a bit battered and broken.
It was night and he’d hit the mini-skip on the way home, it was unlit on the roadside, and he had been flipped OTB of his Honda 250 Wetdream into the mini-skip.
Handy really as we could just chuck the wet dream into it, one fewer in the world was a good thing, then got am ambleance to take him to A&E.

@Houns – no luck with women? There is another option, you never know! 😉

(that’s a cheeky “this is a joke” wink and not one that implies anything other than a blokey bonhomie)

@stoner – yup, I know a few Morgan owners, one of whom races a beetle back in historic classes – barking mad. One of the new ones came through our village last week and it sounded great. I have driven a JZR which is a CX500 powered copy – bloody scary thing TBH.

Now this 3 wheeler intrigues me:

@binners in the same vein you can have this throwback for £26k:

@wasnotwas – if we took into account all the things that were created/conceived of/designed here, then exploited to huge commercial gain elsewhere, the list would be hooooooge!

Please, someone tell me this wasn’t thought of overe here….

@willard – agree on the 427 but the 289 was pretty:

“you may smile at this..” No sir, I am quaking in fear that you, by your very existence, have shown the that Darwin was incorrect and that your faulty genes will be passed on to future generations.

Our clients in the food packaging industry would be a little disturbed if “new life” popped up in foodstuffs they have so carefully packed under ISO22000 to prevent any form of life appearing in the products.

Always. As I have, on occasion, headed off only to realise that I have left my tools in the car I assume that the other rider could be a dumb as me.

Usually carry 2 tubes, a patch covered “give away” and a new one for me, and a spare set of levers I can leave them with if it’s raining.

Too many old ones so just the current crop:

    This for this summer:

And for weekends away (in Rhosneigr 2 weeks ago):

    This for winter and work:

And there’s a Karmann Ghia Coupe in bits for when I have time.

Judging by the number of times we have stopped to go round accidents it would seem that it has never rained in the UK before!

This is it, it’s all I have.
Corratec Team Bow frame, carbon forks, wobbly ring, Avid cable discs – simple, light and a joy to ride, it’s better than super, it’s reet grand.

Sorry got distracted, my point was – that even at the most controllable end of the process, displaying the image on screen, it as still relatively unreliable even if set up by the in house team. So, a national system is going to be about as good as the recent NHS computer system and it will probably cost a whole heap more.

Worked on a software project a few years ago that was damned clever, and very good at detecting porn images and blocking them. It had a full reporting suite with all sorts of whizzy options from alarms and bells to subtle image replacement. It looked set to be the silver bullet re porn in the workplace. It was even present to Pervez Musharraf when he was still in power as he wanted it to be installed as standard on all govt machines and on all new kit sold in the country.
Never seen it since we finished our work on the project, the strike rate was up in the 90% rate, so blocked 10% of images in error but did not stop the sites. Not seen it in anywhere since then, perhaps that shows either a lack of will or the error rate was too high.

    EDIT: found it: http://www.guardwareinc.com/ishieldplus.php

If this does become a law are we going to see it appearing in the Queen’s speech, I may have a 180% change of view if Liz will be on TV saying: “My government will be blocking access to Anal Babes…”

Yup we do, an irregular bunch of irregulars – nights do vary but Thursday is most regular.

Rides also vary as does the ability of the riders, and there’s usually a medicinal beer at the end.

We ride out of Bradwell and you would be welcome to join us.

I miss the mud and rain – it keeps the ramblers away. 😀
However, the limestone trails are much nicer in the dry, it’s like riding freshly oiled blancmange when it’s wet.

Yep set off at 9pm and back to the pub for 11pm, nice loop round the dark peak, plenty of midges about as well as toads! Gorgeous to sit outside the pub with a cold Guinness still in clean (but sweaty) kit.

    Beanies? Why?

I own a wearer of a black beanie, also black tshirt and black skinny jeans – the reason has been clearly explained to me, it’s “BECAUSE, OK?”

It will hopefully provide yet more examples of “Oh look, and its all fine” and England will eventually, finally change their access laws. But not anytime soon I suspect.

    😆 😆 😆 😆

Most of the landowners round here would sooner eat their children than allow any further access to their land. Negotiating access for an annual fell race often seems harder than resolving the Arab Israeli conflict.

Hope this goes through, good work the Taffs.
