Not saying it’s a credible source but this is the original piece they are referring to on Info Wars – it does say that even the reporter works for AP, this is not an AP story.

Why does the cynic in me want to shout that this could be the role model HM Govt may be looking at for the Fire & Rescue Services.

Love the RNLI, top people with tremendous courage and whom I have never needed so far, but I will continue to pay my monthly DD to them, it’s only a matter of time.

Turned 40 and friends suddenly started to die – lost 6 good friends to cancer, 5 were breast cancer of which 3 had been given the all clear. It’s shit but an unavoidable part of life, had long chat to my Mum about it when it was all happening, as she’s 86 she had a very pragmatic view having lost 2 sisters in childhood and dozens of friends and relatives I’m WWII, still a shock and hurt like hell but made her passionate about squeezing every moment out of life.
Condolences Ton, if you want a bit of counselling Mum takes payment in Baileys.

Of my peer group and their siblings, anyone who could leave has done so. It was a great little town up to the 80s and it has been spiralling downwards ever since, aided and abetted by the worst town council in history, closure of heavy industry, pit closures and the arrival of Meadowhall. There are a few small oases in the gloom but there are much better places to live.

Pook, be honest with the exception of the ‘trendy ‘village’ of Wickerey it’s where the pipe will be shoved when the world gets an enema. I grew up at the Brecks so about a mile from you, left I 83 and only go back to see relatives. It’s depressing how bAd the place has become. Drop me an email and I’ll happily pitch in with the very few good places, they are few but compared to Leicester it may seem like heaven!

@simmy- was that in Hope at about 3.30pm? There was an RTC which needed the helicopter, MrsCat said a motorbike was involved.

All company drivers should have limited hours not just lorry drivers.

Was at a client meeting recently when he told me that there is an extension to the tacho rules coming into force for smaller commercial vehicles, and that those who tow a trailer for commercial purposes will require an additional license. It sounds like a very good thing, he’s a clued up bloke so no reason top assume he is incorrect.

Always thought an additional test element should be needed to tow, esp bit stuff like caravans and horse boxes.

Winter Gardens were nice until the hotel next door went up and cast it into shade.
Meadowhall has killed Rotherham and denuded the city centre of Sheffield, they should have gone for the more radical suggestion of roofing the moor.
Urban Splash missed the mark with Park Hill’s regeneration, the tram was ill conceived, just because Manchester (flat) had one we had to get one (hilly) when we had a fantastic bus service and the economic damage it did to certain areas of the city when they were building it has left some areas commercially impoverished.
The people in the city are great and deserving of much better from their public servants.

@GeeTee – had the very same thing last week with a Discovery towing a caravan.

I was not hard over as it was a decent two carriageway road but he cut back in before he was fully past me and the caravan forced me up onto the grass verge.

He stopped and was very apologetic, he’d forgotten that he was towing a huge double axle caravan! 😯

Awesome test of stupidity, and you correctly identified 2 drivers, in one experiment, who qualify. 😀

I’m sure they put some psychotropic drug in Feu Orange air fresheners that makes normal people into f***tards.

@Nickhart – yep let’s shout about the NCPM, Park Hill Flats, Don Valley Stadium, Meadowhall, Wintergardens – Sheffield, the culmination of the art of city planning. 😀

EDIT: Let’s not forget Moorfoot, the government bunker at the bottom of the Moor.

It’s just that during our interaction with them we showed them some nice shiny new and more effective toys with which to wage their wars on one another.

Blimey, and the Police wonder why there is an increasing lack of respect from all quarters towards them. Pursue this to the end through whatever channels you can. This idiot will probably believe that he was justified in his actions and bullet proof if they leave it at this.

I find it all a bit ironic when the west (UK in particular) protests and becomes precious when the pupil heeds the lessons of its teacher, and then emulates its behaviour.

@piemonster – it would be good if we could focus just on the issue at hand but when there are people who either remember first hand, or whose parents were subjected to this treatment, it has direct relevance to what is happening today across a large area.
