Airbag lights nearly always need to be reset by a code reader.

If anyone wants to bodge it here you go – take the SRS bulb out of the dash. This will only be an advisory come MOT time believe it or not. Obviously you will still have the airbag fault and it might mean the whole system is disabled so I cannot condone anyone doing it (apart from the sod who sold me my last Z4…)

They’ll have nicked it just because they could. It’ll end up in the canal most likely.

Huge can of worms! Quite a few well respected modellers are adamant that they never prime their kits. I often do but not always. I use a Halfords rattle can of their light grey plastic primer. I find a light colour base coat helps to highlight errors (visible seams etc) so I can correct them (or at least attempt to!!) before the top coat goes on.

For the “Kate” model I posted earlier I used the matching Alclad black primer which i gently sanded to make it nice and smooth before the aluminium top coat went on. For top coats that are yellow or white you get a much better finish with the right colour primer (some people use pink primer I think for a yellow top coat)

Gloss before decals helps to reduce silvering mainly and also a gloss finish makes washes work much better. Washes don’t tend to flow as well on a matt or satin finish.

Lots of people wash their kits, i never have and never had a problem with paint not sticking. Are you brush painting? If the paint isn’t thoroughly mixed or if its airbrush paint then that can cause it. Tamiya acrylics for example don’t brush very well at all but spray beautifully.

Oh right, i didn’t know that.

Photograph it from the other side so you can’t see the decal!

Yes, I’ve seen a couple of videos about the T34, not a great crew environment and many of them broke down before they even got to the battle. The 85 was a bit better than the 76 as its got a bigger turret so a bit more room. But neither version has a turret basket so there was a real risk of the loader getting hit by the breach when the main gun was fired unless he kept his eyes open and moved round with the turret.

Over Christmas I built the Airfix “Kate” 1/72 scale which was £7.50 from The Works about a year ago! I also did the Tamiya T34/85

I’m 58 and watch all his stuff! I do find the sponsorship thing totally disingenuous though, last week Haibike were dreams and this week it’s Canyon kind of thing. It whoever gives him free bikes are the best.
I’m not sure if his mechanicing techniques are just for the videos but it does annoy me a little.
    He’s an incredible rider though.

The link will give you three options to pick from:

    Download Teams
    Continue in this browser
    Open Teams.

    Pick the middle one :-)

Have you read the meter to confirm how many kWh you are actually using? Those wall heaters burn though a heck of a lot. Does the 51p include the standing charge?

One in the kitchen plus a fire blanket and another extinguisher in the car. All salvaged from various properties my old company bought.

I wanted to be awkward and say I’d really like one of those but in actual fact I think its a rather dangerous thing to have in your house!

From memory i think i got texts and emails fairly promptly (within an hour or so) right the way though the process. I submitted the info online then posted my old one to them.

Is this for a quick renewal or for some other reason? Did mine by post last month and it took eleven days. Have you checked your junk/spam folder?

We don’t have a smoking shelter any more, it’s been removed! I work for a council but not in planning I’m afraid although I am in design services. No, I don’t think agriculture PD only means agriculture operations hence the caravan sites bit.

If it’s an actual working farm and it’s bigger than five hectares then you agricultural permitted development rights which include:
    temporary uses of land
agricultural buildings below a certain size
    forestry buildings
caravan sites and related buildings in some circumstances

However before you hang your hat on that and spend possibly significant sums of money you should speak to the council planning department and get some pre app advice.

If you fancy risking it then I think you can download the guidance documents.

We have something called a Lenovo USB-c Travel hub which lets me have two monitors plus the lap top screen on.

I’m surprised you say that. Bikes are being heavily discounted at the moment due to over supply and the bottom has fallen out of the second hand market for the same reason.

I guess you’ve all done tests? I had a slight cough and a few sneezes then on Xmas eve i felt a little bit shivery but nothing I would consider a worry. On Xmas day we were due to meet the aged relatives so just to be sure I took a test which came back positive. Still got the occasional cough, feel absolutely fine but still testing positive.
    It’s getting boring now!

Hmm, my hub doesn’t look like any that they have in their FAQ so it must be a very early one and they have changed how it works.

The comment about the Hive hub may be true if you buy it from British Gas. If you buy it from Currys (like I did) then its not true.

NX is still going strong on my 2000 mile old Whyte 901. I’d buy this if they had 165mm cranks in stock.

I was just about to say the same re underseal. There might be other spec differences such as fog lights missing and different frequency bands on the radio.

    CO rather than CO2.

Never tried them but we’ll be installing them in our new builds where possible. The claimed benefits seem well worth the relatively small cost.

I would guess that they are actually using a mole to dig a tunnel which they are then pushing the new plastic pipe though. Later on they will make each connection to the individual houses. Think the mole needs an 800×800 pit to start. The original metal pipe will be abandoned.

Consumer rights laws etc apply in the country you buy from, not the country where the goods are delivered.

    @sillyoldman I didn’t ask for alternatives – I asked about Hope cranks.

Why? Will they take SRAM chainrings?

You need to have made a “significant start”. The scale of the work you’ll need to do to satisfy that requirement will depend on the scale of the original project.
You cannot extend planning permission, you’ll need to reapply if it expires. Shouldn’t be an issue unless planning policy has changed in the meantime!

Coincidentally I spotted those bits on thingiverse this morning. I never knew disk truing was even a thing but I might print them and see what happens.

I certainly wouldn’t be buying a helmet from a shop that allows mail order returns – who knows what possibly numerous pervious “owners” might have done to it or deposited inside!

Try before you buy though – I’d love an Arai but they just don’t fit me whilst Shoei’s fit like a glove.

So I never thought it was a brake issue as the Hope fitted perfectly on my other bike.

The only thing it can be is that the mounting holes (or one of them) is not straight causing the bolt to bind against the front of the calliper mounting hole as that’s where the witness marks are on both callipers.

I’ve measured them with my digital micrometer. I’ll draw it up tomorrow when I get to work.

No warranty on the brakes sadly, they are at least five years old I’d guess. There must be a tolerance on the 74mm?
