Several YouTube channels do stuff like this and reveal where they get spares from. Marty’s Matchbox Makeovers is a good one.

Step One fan here as well.  Discovered them from a Paul Messsner video.   Only issue if going camping for multiple days is that they are surprisingly heavy and take a long time to dry.  But as I don’t do that it doesn’t matter!

Something is bent, no question but your alignment will highlight that.

Its easy to remove the steering wheel, just disconnect the battery for at least twenty minutes before you do it.  The airbag just pops off once you have depressed the catches from the rear with a couple of screwdrivers.

almost certainly carb related – likely to be a blocked jet or similar – strip and ultrasonic clean.

Make sure mice haven’t moved into the airbox!

Length of the bow is related to your draw length.  If you have a short bow and draw it a long way your fingers can pinch the arrow and your release will suffer.  Compound bows are short but you don’t generally shoot them with your fingers.  You can also find that it will “stack up” the further you draw it – so it’ll feel very heavy as you are overdrawing the limbs.

If you have a longer bow and quite a short draw then the limbs might not be working in the most efficient range so you wont get the power you need.

I used to shoot for the County many many years ago – its all changed so much I’d be no help to you at all nowadays I’m afraid.

Top tip – don’t get arrows that are too short for your full draw length, it can get very painful when it goes though your hand…

Whereabouts in the world are you?  I’ve got all the tools that you’ll need and I’ll do the job for you (or watch while you do it using my tools) in exchange for several tins of beer. I’m near Mansfield.

Funnily enough I’m in exactly the same situation – I’m awaiting sight of the JD (they are redefining the role since the previous guy retired)  but if it looks okay then I’m going for it.

I cannot see things in my head, even faces of people I know really well – they just don’t appear although I’ll recognise them the instant I see them.  I’m an architectural technician, if someone rings up from site and tries to explain a problem they are having I just wont be able to see it.  I need a photo or even better a site visit.

I struggle with driving in unfamiliar places unless I have sat nav running as I can only recall one or maybe two direction steps from a printed guide or a map.  Even if someone asks me directions to somewhere I know really well I’ll have to concentrate really hard to visualise the route in my head.  I’d usually have to travel through it step by step with my eyes shut until I get where they want to go!

Blimey I sound like a right disaster!

Its likely that Apple wont actually repair it – they might say they will but they’ll actually swap it for a new one.  None of their devices are designed to be easy to repair.  Watches, iPads and iPhones use glue in many places so even if you know what you are doing there is a fair risk of causing damage just by taking it apart.

Third party repairers wont be using genuine Apple parts as I don’t believe Apple will sell them.

I live a five minute walk from their “flagship” store right by the Fraser Group HQ.  I noticed a few months ago that they seemed to be running their stock down, all the high end E bikes they had a year ago seem to have gone and they now have mostly Muddy Fox and Raleigh BSO’s  I’ll pop in later on day for an update.

Yes I’ve seen 131!  Tiger crews had standing orders to destroy their tank if they had to abandon it, not sure why they didn’t in this case.

Interesting thread!  I had a driver pull out of a parking space and just lightly graze the side of my passenger door.  I suspect they didn’t realise they had hit me as they just drove off.  Luckily I had my dash cam on which even recorded the G force of the impact (slight though it was).

I reported it to the Police who came round to view the footage and asked me what I wanted to do about it. I said that I feel like I’m making a big fuss about nothing as it was only a scuff that’d probably polish out but if I hadn’t reported it and the other drive did then I could be in trouble!  He assured me I had done the right thing.  I didn’t take it any further and left the scuff on the door alone.

The Police visited the other driver and gave them “words of advice”.

This was five years ago now – it never occurred to me to tell my insurance company about it.  The Police didn’t ask to see any of my documents either but I dare say they could have checked on-line.  To my knowledge its not affected my premiums in any way.

I did our first ever Passivhaus project just last year all in AutoCAD,  Would Revit have made it any easier?  It wasn’t difficult in AutoCAD :-)  One of our structural engineers is still using AutoCAD r14 so the change of collaboration is zero!

Now if BIM is required then that might be another matter but so far its not been for any of my work.

I have the luxury of being able to choose what I use, if I wanted to move it Revit and I was able to use it then that would be fine and i could just do.

    Thanks everyone, all useful info.

Some time ago i start watching YouTube and got to the stage of building a decent model but I’ve forgotten it all now.  But i think i need a bit of one to one just to get the basics sorted out.  I find in AutoCAD there are usually multiple different ways of achieving the same end result but if you start off the wrong way it can come back and bite you later on when its too late to change it.

My work is almost exclusively in social housing (I work for a District Council), we have a small design team but I’m the one with the most work on my desk!  One of the problems i see going forward is if I start creating Revit drawings no one else in the team will be able to do anything with them as in the nicest possible way they can barely use AutoCAD.

Maybe a basic question – do you still use AutoCAD for drawing details or is that done in Revit as well?

Can any of them grind finely enough for good espresso?  I do follow James Hoffman and he seems to suggest that they don’t even get close.  I’ve never had espresso (good or otherwise) so I don’t really know, I just make milky coffee in mine (Magnifica) with beans from Aldi or Morrisons :-)

I’ve got a tiny dint and a two inch long scratch on my rear wing – £480 to fix it!

Even if its his fault and you go through insurance (or if you notify them at all)  it’ll still affect your renewal as you are now seen as a higher risk.

Have you checked to see that he actually has insurance, tax and MOT?

My machine takes a 227g bag of beans, I have one mug a day during the week and two or three a day at weekends.  I honestly cannot taste the difference between a fresh bag and beans that have been in there for however long it take me to run the hopper down.  Convenience wins every time – if i have to start dosing beans and going into the fridge etc then I’ll loose interest.

So, from my time working in retail – the importer will make 50%.  The retailer will make 20-25% if they sell at RRP.  They rarely do that  in a competitive market.  Some retailers were prepared to make 2-3%.

The mark up on accessories was much higher.

I’d suggest paying the asking price but seeing if they can throw in some accessories FOC.  Last time i bought a new bike i think it got £200 worth of credit to spend in the shop.

I’ve done both.  Scuba diving isn’t just for the summer though, if you do that you are missing out on loads of great dives.

I gave it up when i had a realisation that your training makes if look very safe.  For example out of air or loosing  your regulator.  You know its going to happen so you take a big lungful of air.  How long can you hold your breath like that?  A couple of minutes?  In reality if you ran out of air the first thing you’d know about if would be when you try and breath in.  How long can you now hold your breath while you franticly grab for your buddy?

No matter how well you think you’ve cleaned the carb I’ll bet its dirt in the carb from old petrol that’s causing the problem.

I have an email from RAB that states that gore-tex is waterproof even if the surface wets out and the DWR coating is only to keep the material breathable (stop the wetting out).  Do we think that’s not actually true?

A lot of this will be to cover the gap between what the streaming services pay the artists and what they used to get from selling physical media. Most of them pay a small fraction of a penny per stream. Spotify is the worst so I’ve heard.

I don’t think you can use an approved inspector once work has started (or been completed), it has to be the local authority.

Whatever it was the coach would be the “support coach” where the volunteers who accompany the train stay.  It’ll be carrying tools and spares as well as cooking and sleeping kit.
