try a cree torch off eBay. I got a 300 lumen one for 6 quid then taped it to my helmet – it fits really well in the central top groove. Does me fine, waterproof, self contained, light, cheap & bright enough for 6 quid. 3 x AAA by the way.

the only point i have to make is that I watched my first XC race last weekend. Kullhavy won. boring.

Reckon there’s a big difference between Hope & other brakes. If you use Hope then they’ll serve you well. relied on for years & now I know Superstar red pads are the best.

I run the brake inside. I use a saint shifter so no window, snap your window off to get 1 finger braking set up perfect. 😉

I bought a never built Maxlight Pha5e from ebay seller for £67! bloody lovely bike. I would recommend it for anyone wanting to build a ‘hardcore’ hard tail.

I only use Hope. Got both V2 & Mono6 ti, both really good.

From what I know of brakes, if modulation is what you like on a brake, go for hope – Kevlar Superstar pads are my favourite by the way, just preference though…
