Reason I bought up the charger in the vid is that I often charge in the morning (if I forget to the evening before) and with the 6amp Bosch charger the bike is fully charged in 3.5 hours, or well above 80% in about 2 hours.

IME most bikes come with a 4amp charger. The cheap Decathlon Stylus bikes actually came with the 6 amp charger.

It’s not disastrous having a 1.8amp charger, but frustrating when you forget to charge the bike and need to spend a day getting it topped up again.

Aside from that small point on the charger (its not a biggie, a bit like a bike coming with crap/mis specced tyres that you may need to change)… the bike rides very very well.

There won’t be snow though. But there’s some great riding and amazing views. Pricing is pretty cheap, I’d recommend Finalborgo as a base to stay.

Fly to Nice, 2 hour train to Finale. Hire bikes when there. Weather should be good in October.

My Radon Swoop Ebike arrived this morning.

I’m really enjoying the Swoop – Let me know what you think of it.

Rob’s “Get out of your comfort zone” vid made me laugh.

I do aim to entertain ;-)

Is now the time to buy one or would I be better waiting until the technology has improved? My budget is around £5k which doesn’t seem to bag much and I’m at a total loss as to what motor/battery I should be looking at.

Loads of good options at that price point. This year is going to be ultra competitive in ebikes as the direct to consumer brands are banging out some amazing bikes for the money ;-)

I met Sam yesterday at Rogate Bike Park. He came across as an absolute gent, was talking to all the local young shredders, had a chat with me about a few bits and was a generally nice person to talk to. He was working (filming a few bits for his channel) but took the time out to connect with folks that were around him / interested in what he was doing.

Not related to the article but I found him to be a nice, down to earth friendly chap.

Oh also, he is so skilled its insane. Watching him chuck an ebike downhill and the air he gets on one was stunning.
