I have to agree with some of the earlier posts on here; the changes between bikes are actually very minimal. It wouldn’t make that much difference, that hills became impossible. Check yourself out first I’d say.

Why do I hate the saying “lashings of” when talking about food?

I know there’s a load of haterz on here, but these are genuinely decent enough to make a nice sandwich.

I am a shit driver, never denied that, but I’m not a middle lane hog.
But if I come up behind one on an otherwise empty road I’ll just pull into lane three and go past. Why get agitated if it’s not causing a problem.

Bingo, the most dangerous drivers are those that swerve immediately from the fast lane to the slow lane, even though they know they’ll be swerving straight back out in 3 seconds as they’re going much faster than the cars in front.
Yes I get the right lane is for overtaking, but try looking ahead.

Some people don’t care about their appearance and that’s their prerogative. They’re wrong, but it’s still their prerogative!

So true, hence my comment. I’m not a roadie but a lot of people on here really don’t mind looking a state. Fair play to you.

Now, I love this forum and its inhabitants, but there really are a lot of social rejects on here.

As said many times already, the UK does not have enough power generation for the country to go electric. So you hate coal and nuclear, but the gas powerstations produce nowhere near enough (not far off peak now). Can’t have your cake and eat it lads. Bring in nuclear I say, just jettison the waste into space.

Yeah top riding, you were saying a lot but most of it wasn’t actual words. Must be knackering.

A touch over 5’10” on a large “2017” spitfire. Fits great, medium would be too small.

Industry went bolt thru about 4 years back. As above, get a 9mm Hope wheel and you can just convert it to 142 later (albeit you can’t go to 148 without more adaptors).

When it snaps you’ll find out. Plus it looks gopping. Ugly seat, long stem, bar ends. That head angle and the big tyres don’t tie in with the skinny tubing.

Have to agree, sorry OP but that’s a shocker.

Those Canyon Nerves were decent bikes, that’s a steal if everything works.

To throw a spanner in the works, I was looking at a flare recently and I’m now the owner of a Banshee Spitfire with 140mm forks. Lighter than you’d think, mine can’t be much over 27lbs.

Being a grumpy sort I’m tempted to vote against the Directors’ remuneration report on the assumption that they’ll be awarding themselves big fat pay rises and bonuses

    Just lol.

Or you could read it? Labour supporter perchance?

Live with longterm gf; I earn roughly double what she does, we both have our salary paid into separate accounts and a joint account for bills (which I pay more into). I have more disposable income to spend, but will buy her things or give her money if she were to need it (which she never does as she gets a decent wage).

If we were married it would likely be different, if we had kids it would certainly be different, as I wouldn’t want it to feel like she had to come to me for hand outs if she was looking after the kid.

Yeah it’s the 2017 model gents, surprisingly light.

Currently running 140mm forks in the slack mode (pretty similar geo to the new five at 150 by the looks of things – checked as it was a contender when I bought this). Feels awesome but the bb is as low as I’d want to go, I think slack setting with 150mm would be ideal.

Thanks mate, hopefully I’ll just be able to fit the banjo through the frame and it’ll be job done.

Recently got a pro 4 and I’d echo most of the comments above. You do need the keyboard though, tablet mode isn’t as slick as a dedicated Android tablet and you will come up against some minor niggles.
That being said, it’s a spendy game when you factor in the extra £100 for that.
